Rob Mackowiak led the league in hitting for May, but wasn't even considered for "NL Player of the Month". So he went out and hit a grand slam and 5 RBI's on June 1.

Rub it in that your Pirates are winning while my Yanks are losing to the WORST FUCKING TEAM IN BASEBALL! AHH! AHH! AHH! (cries)

Oh well.. looks like the National League East is remaining very interesting. Only the Phillies are under .500, but not too far behind.

When did the Yankees play the Rockies?!

Scrooge McSuck - June 2, 2005 06:52 PM (GMT)
Oh yeah, the Rockies have almost the same record as Kansas City. OK, at least your team didn't lose to the most pathetic team in the Majors twice in a row.

eStragand - June 6, 2005 08:07 PM (GMT)
..and guess who just swept the Reds for their first sweep of the season? The Rockies. They now have a season-high four game winning streak!! As Lou Brown from "Major League" would say: we won a game...we win another that's TWO and that's called a STREAK."

Oh yeah..and guess who's in THIRD place in the NL Central?!

Pittsburgh w-26 .... L-29 ...... pct- .473 ...... GB-9.5

Scrooge McSuck - June 6, 2005 08:17 PM (GMT)
I can't believe Pittsburgh is ALMOST a .500 team. I'm even more surprised the fucking Washington Nationals are in 1st place of the NL East, and that none of the teams in that division have a losing record.

In the immortal words of the 1st Joe Schmo... What is going on!?
