TNA OFF FOX SPORTS NETWORK ACCORDING TO TV LISTINGS; FINAL EPISODE TO AIR THIS FRIDAY
by Mike Johnson

It appears TNA's run with the Fox Sports Network will end with this Friday's episode of Impact!, scheduled for 5/27 at 4 PM. Impact! is not listed for the following Friday 6/3 on Fox Sports, with their timeslot instead filled by "The World Series of Darts" and there are no listings for TNA anywhere on Fox Sports' schedule for the months of June and July, which is as far as the schedules are posted.

TNA taped two episodes at their last taping in Universal Studios on 5/17, so it would certainly appear the company is about to go dark beyond their scheduled PPVs this summer.

There have been a lot of rumors in recent weeks circulating about the future of TNA's home on television. While no one seems to be certain for sure, the story making the rounds within TNA was that some sort of announcement would be made shortly regarding their TV situation.

I do know that conversations had been ongoing with WGN and Spike TV in recent weeks, with many inside TNA believing that WGN was the stronger of the two possibilities. There has been nothing but optimism from those I have spoken to within the company, so hopefully that optimism won't be for naught.

That's not to say all signs re negative for the future of the company. Last week, TNA signed both NWA champion AJ Styles and X-Division champion Christopher Daniels to new three year deals and announced plans for an August PPV event, titled Sacrifice. There are still dates listed at Universal Studios through 7/19 as well.

... The World Series of DARTS? Holy crap, I thought ESPN 2 sucked with the World Series of Poker and 1,001 Worlds Strongest Men competitions.

Fox Sports really blew it with TNA. That was one of the only shows getting ratings other than local games and they didn't promote it much or give it a better timeslot. Remember how much they put into I,Max only for it to be doing massive .00s and .01s?

And I've actually seen people have the nerve to inuslt TNA's ratings on FSN. They just don't seem to understand...IT'S FSN.

It's people that bash everything about TNA. When it's pulling better ratings than FSN's flagship show you can't bash them for ratings.

If the show isn't shown on a specific time and day on a national scale, it's pretty hard to make a ratings comment, especially when not everyone gets FSN.

Ditto WGN if they go there.

You show me any show ever on any network that got great ratings at 3:00 on Friday afternoon.

The Super Mario Brothers Super Show? :D

I know, that was 1989, but it was a pretty popular show. Oh wait, it aired every weekday... nevermind.
