Go for it.

dynamite kido - May 23, 2005 05:44 PM (GMT)
Main event for tonight is already been announced as

Batista vs. Edge - World Title Match

Mad Dog - May 23, 2005 05:52 PM (GMT)
I'm going to be pissed if the ME of the PPV is Batista vs. HHH again. It should be Batista vs. Edge.

Be pissed. It's going to be HHH vs. Batista in a Hell in a Cell match at Vengence.

Mad Dog - May 23, 2005 06:04 PM (GMT)
I'm still hoping they changed it.

I'm hoping it was a swerve.

...I thought Edge vs. Batista for the title was supposed to be at the next Vengeance? Wel I thought that's what I thought the Gold Rush tournament was about.

I know about the Vengeance poster release, but I meant currently - if we didn't know about the poster.

dynamite kido - May 23, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
I'm going simply by Meltzer saying that the goldrush tournament was going to be totally seperate from the Vengence main event as Triple H is still scheduled to face Batista in a Hell in a Cell at Vengence.

Scrooge McSuck - May 23, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
Meh... I hate Edge, and I'm no longer that high on Batista. Kane should've gotten his annual Main Event Push! Either way, Triple H is still getting the title shot against Batista at Vengeance, Edge looks like a big loser, and Kane looks like a bigger lose.

dynamite kido - May 23, 2005 10:39 PM (GMT)
Apparently Meltz is reporting that something is going to happen on RAW tonight and it's going to be BIG.

QUOTE
his was posted by Dave Meltzer on the WO website:

"Tonight's Raw features Batista vs. Edge for the World title. There will also be a Heat match with the Heart Throbs vs. William Regal & Tajiri in a tornado match. For those thinking of skipping tonight's show, you probably want to reconsider, and I'm not being sarcastic with that remark."

Real F'n Show - May 24, 2005 12:26 AM (GMT)
I was thinking about skipping it tonight, but if Meltz says it's must see, I'll watch. Probably a Heyman appearance or something...

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 12:57 AM (GMT)
Hogan maybe? :P

Or most likely, something lame to do with "Exremely Crappy Wrestling".

-- Incase anyone is taking me seriously, I'm mocking Lawlers stupid answer to the ECW abreviation.

jamiegeist - May 24, 2005 01:31 AM (GMT)
Wow. "clusterfuck" doesn't quite describe that Benjamin v Hassan/Daivari match.

I don't know who was fucked up, but that got bad. My money is on Hassan and Daivari.

Oooh fun, Edge buying help from Christian and Tomko with his money-in-the-bank-case. For some reason I'm really hoping Edge wins. With Tomko, Christian, Lita, and possibly Triple H interference, I could see it happening.

Edit: Wow, a Masters match. And he so just gained like, 3 cool points with me by doing a double backbreaker without a release. Thats old school. For those counting...that puts his cool points total at 3. Make it 4. He just caught the leg and clubbed down right on the kneecap. That's nice too.

Edit 2: Oh my god. Where do I start. First off, Jericho's punishment is to wrestle Grenier? Maybe from a smart persepective, yes. But not storyline wise. Bischoff seemed pissed. "Jericho said that? Well then he'll face...........SYLVAN GRENIER!!!" Secondly, I am very confident that Grenier is the worst wrestler on the roster. Why the hell is he employed. He is atrocious. He almost broke Jericho's arm trying to put him up in a torture rack. Then he put his hand up and blocked a freakin Enziguri. Why do they fire people like Matt Hardy, and keep someone like Grenier on the roster. FIRE HIM!

Edit 3: Good segment here with Bischoff and Vince explaining why ECW stuff is on WWE TV to the people who actually, you know, use their brain. And I'm glad Bischoff won't be involved. That was a stupid idea. And Vince saying there is one brand that is actually dead: WCW.....that was classic. And shit, as I type this....Heyman is headed to the fucking ring. How much are PPVs nowadays? I think I might actually order this one. Major hard sell here, and I'm loving it. Heyman's promo is heartfelt and so true. Every word. Ahhhh balls. Now they ARE doing some RAW-ECW thing. Just let the show be ECW.

Edit 4: That Kane promo ruled.

Edit 5: Man Edge hit a stiff dropkick. First to the face, then fell right on his abs.

Edit 6: Wow, Batista is Sting. He beat like 8 guys to win that match. Woah, instant reac here. Triple H in the house. He actually looks cool. Flair is so going to rack Ba- yup. Batista is REALLY Sting. Dumb bastard.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 02:15 AM (GMT)
Paul Heyman being on Raw is the big surprise? Color me shocked... (sarcasm)

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 02:24 AM (GMT)
Usually, WWE PPV's are $35, but I don't know if that's the same for the ECW one. Probably is, but the least it will be is $30.

S.T. Strickler - May 24, 2005 02:46 AM (GMT)
That Viscera segment almost had me change the channel.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 02:55 AM (GMT)
It had me change the channel... several times. I think I'll make fun of CronoT some more to ease the pain of it.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 03:02 AM (GMT)
What a surprise... a referee bump.

FLAIR?!?! makes the save!

Real F'n Show - May 24, 2005 03:40 AM (GMT)
Raw was terrible this week besides the mildly entertaining Heyman promo. Even Tajiri/Benoit was a let down and went what- 2 minutes tops? And what was the point of having a Jericho vs. Grenier match? Interaction with Benjamin? Couldn't they have just had a backstage segment between the two? And don't even get me started on the Vicera segment...

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 04:09 AM (GMT)
I taped 3 things from Raw tonight...

Richards v. Masters (mainly to get Richards on the tape)
The Heyman/Bischoff/McMahon Segment
Benoit v. Tajiri (which lasted all of 90 seconds when not counting Tajiri walking around the ring)

prof_plague - May 24, 2005 04:16 AM (GMT)
Ref bump!

Having Christian and Tomko at ringside during the Bastita/Edge match looked kind of nice.

The Masters/Richards match should have gone a little longer, it felt too short. Richards makes Masters look good in the ring. And Masters wasn't as bad in the ring as I would have thought.

Kane promo---awesome. :thumbs up:

dynamite kido - May 24, 2005 04:16 AM (GMT)
I dug the McMahon/Bischoff/Heyman promo stuff, but everything else was missable. Edge/Batista was an OK TV match, but they shouldn't have given that away for free. Plus the return of Triple H.............what a nice two weeks it's been.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 04:17 AM (GMT)
Masters entrance was longer than the actual match. Color me piss yellow.

Pretty sad that they are turning Richards into a total bitch boy.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 04:23 AM (GMT)
The crowd attempted a Stevie chant, but that was killed since Masters squashed him like a Monkey Rat.

I wanted to cry the last couple minutes of the show. ...Flair's not actually going to ally with Batista, Triple H returns, and then says "Hell In A Cell." ...Oh, and the blade job. :boo!: (Sorry, just thought the blade job wasn't needed at that point.)

This Triple H/Batista feud has me very annoyed right now. Triple H comes back and dominates Batista. If the challenger isn't at least somewhat vulnerable the the champion, what's the point? Batista looks weak. It's not a challenger vs. champion going for the title - it just looks like Triple H is trying to regain his title. There's no point to it. The only thing that might help this Hell in a Cell look good is if there's going to be a bunch of spots and bumps, I see hardly any wrestling come out of it. And I hope I'll be proven wrong, but I doubt it.

I noticed that. It was a nice two second chant while it lasted.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 04:29 AM (GMT)
You didn't get the monkey rat reference though... looks in DK's direction.

whitemilesdavis - May 24, 2005 12:00 PM (GMT)
A. Raw Sucked

B. Ref Bump!

C. On a show filled with talking, the Heyman/Mcmahon/ Bischoff thing went on WAY TOO LONG. If I want to watch public speaking, I'll switch to C-SPAN. Wrestle for God's sakes.

D. Stevie Richards is in dire need of steroids.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 07:07 PM (GMT)
Am I the only one who thought it was funny that Eric Bischoff pimped the ECW so much by giving out the information about it except a phone number to order tickets?

Yes, you were.

"I hate ECW... which will have a PPV on June 12th, from the whatever Arena at 8 pm, 7 central, on the corner of Main and Hamburger...

Oh yeah, uh, ECW sucks!"

whitemilesdavis - May 24, 2005 07:13 PM (GMT)
Especially after banning the letters E-C-W last week. I hated that whole segment. Heyman's rediculous "sinister " smile while the wreath was on fire was just stupid.

prof_plague - May 24, 2005 08:35 PM (GMT)
It wasn't that bad of a good segment. It just went too long.

But I like Richards without steroids.

Do you want him looking like and wrestling like Chris Masters?

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 08:48 PM (GMT)
... (thinks for half of a second) Hell no.

whitemilesdavis - May 24, 2005 08:48 PM (GMT)
It just looks strange how thin he has gotten. Not that he was ever incredibly bulky, but now he isn't just skinny for a wrestler, he's a skinny person. If he ever wants to escape the job squad, he'll have to put on weight.

Scrooge McSuck - May 24, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
I know this always gets ignored, but...

Steven Richards will never see any kind of push ever again. The only times he'll be on Raw (or if he moves) or Smackdown is when he's on Job duty. I always contribute this reasoning for 1 of the following...

1. He's very injury prone for someone who isn't exactly Mr. Grandpa
2. Someone high up probably doesn't like him much
3. He's not very big, and he isn't Mr. Workrate to compensate for it like a Guerrero, Hart, or Benoit.

It's true. When I saw Richards on Raw three months ago I was jumping up and down because he was Raw. And then I stopped and said, "Wait. ...He's on Raw. :sigh: Who's he going to job to now?" And, of course, it was Masters. And then jobbed to him again on Raw this past week.

I would like to see a short feud between these two though. Masters will go over, but whatever.

whitemilesdavis - May 24, 2005 08:58 PM (GMT)
To be honest, I've never seen any reason for Stevie to be pushed.

How bout the fact that they are promoting an ECW PPV?

Because if that isn't the time............then there will never be a good one again.
