Title: The X Wrestling Federation (XWF)
Scrooge McSuck - May 17, 2005 06:23 PM (GMT)
Since I'm in the mood to see how well (or better yet, how badly) I can tank a promotion with nothing but old 'rasslers and WCW Rejects, I finally busted out EWR (1.4, since 2.0 is a pain in the ass to load) for the first time in over a year...
NOTE: I am cheating by maxing out my money, but kept my Cult following, and generally shitty production to make things interesting... plus I'll tank the promotion anyway, this just stops the bleeding for a little while.

XWF Born Again:
- Not that it matters, but the scheduled broadcast team for this PPV is Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. They will not be mentioned again after this comment.
A. Brad Armstrong (0-0), Doink The Clown (0-0), Jimmy Snuka Jr. (0-0) vs. Alex Wright (0-0), Pat Tanaka (0-0), Chris Candido (0-0):
Thrown together match for the PPV Pre-Show. No one in the match is getting any kind of a push, and have no angles with anyone else. Sloppy match for the most part with very little interest from the live crowd, even for the non-resting periods of the match. Chris Candido pinned Doink the Clown following the Blonde Bombshell at 8:06 to give his team the victory. *1/2 Chris Candido improves his record to 1-0, Doink The Clown becomes the first loser at 0-1, and everyone else in the match remains with no record.
Overall Rating: 50%
Crowd Reaction: 41%
Match Quality: 60%
1. KISS Demon (0-0) vs. Mr. Jones (0-0):
The sole purpose of the match was to put the KISS Demon over on PPV without sacrificing anyone of value to him. Another match with hardly any crowd reaction, but it was still more lively than from the previous match. The KISS Demon defeated Mr. Jones with the Love Gun at 4:15 to open the first ever Pay-Per-View. ** Perfectly Acceptable Squashing. KISS Demon improves to 1-0 while Mr. Jones goes to 0-1.
Overall Rating: 54%
Crowd Reaction: 54%
Match Quality: 55%
2. 4-Corners Match for the XWF Cruiserweight Championship:
Cassidy O'Reilly (0-0) vs. American Dragon (0-0) vs. TAKA Michinoku (0-0) vs. Super Crazy (0-0):
Super Crazy is replacing C.M. Punk, who wound up not being a Cruiserweight, and thus was ineligable for the title match. Lots of great wrestling and high spot sequences, but because no one has ever heard of O'Reilly and AmDragon, the crowd was pretty dead for the most of it. After AmDragon and Crazy take each other out of the match, TAKA knocks out Cassidy with a Tornado DDT to become the first ever Cruiserweight Champion at 13:42. **1/2 TAKA Michinoku's record goes to 1-0, Cassidy O'Reilly's goes to 0-1, and both American Dragon and Super Crazy remain uncontested.
Overall Rating: 60%
Crowd Reaction: 39%
Match Quality: 82%
Road Agent Notes: The XWF Cruiserweight Title has gained in Image
3. The Bushwackers (Butch 0-0, Luke 0-0) & Jack Victory (0-0) vs. Big Van Vader (0-0), Scott Norton (0-0), Johnny Smith (0-0):
Six-Man Tag Team rules to put over the Destruction Crew, consisting of Vader, Norton, and Smith, who all share the history of being stand out performers in Japan. The Bushwackers are scheduled to turn heel and reuse the name "The Sheepherders", which explains why Jack Victory is their partner for this match. Another match that suffers from crowd heat, but is still fine in normal standards. Vader finishes off Bushwacker Butch with the Vader Bomb at 11:19. **1/2 Vader's record increases to 1-0, Bushwacker Butch goes down to 0-1, and everyone elses record remains untouched.
Overall Rating: 58%
Crowd Reaction: 56%
Match Quality: 61%
4. XWF Television Championship Match:
Marty Jannetty (0-0) vs. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams (0-0):
Williams is the fourth member od the Destruction Crew, and is here to win the title to put something in their stable for right now. Jannetty is here solely for job purpose, and because he doesn't suck like 90% of the roster does. The most lively the crowd has been for the entire show so far, but still not quite hot enough. Perfectly Acceptable Match as Williams pins Jannetty with the Oklahoma Stampede at 14:37 to become the first ever Television Champion. **1/2 Steve Williams record goes to 1-0, with a + next to it for winning an XWF Title, while Jannetty drops to a record of 0-1. After the match, Vader returns to ringside and helps Williams continue to pummel Jannetty.
Overall Rating: 60%
Crowd Reaction: 60%
Match Quality: 61%
Road Agent Notes: The XWF Television title has gained in Image
5. Mystery Opponent (0-0) vs. "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig (0-0):
Hennigs opponent for tonight is revealed as.... STING~!!! Thrown together match otherwise, but the crowd is pretty pumped for this, and for the first time all night I might add. The usual you can expect from both men who happen to be in their 40's, but the energy from the crowd makes it better. After a pretty short sequence of brawling and wrestling, Sting is able to make Hennig submit to the Scorpion Deathlock at 9:09 in his XWF Debut. ***1/4 Sting, although a Non-Wrestler, goes to 1-0, while the trend continues as someone must've lost, and Hennig is the one.
Overall Rating: 75%
Crowd Reaction: 81%
Match Quality: 63%
6. XWF World Tag Team Championship Match:
The Road Warriors vs. The Midnight Express:
The Road Warriors consist of Animal and Hawk, while this version of the Midnight Express includes "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton and "Sweet" Stan Lane. There is also no history to this match, as it's main purpose is to just crown a New Champion(s). A pretty lethargic match as everyone is considerably past their prime and the crowd is dead from the previous match, but still not an entirely worthless bout. The Road Warriors become the first ever XWF Tag Team Champions when Road Warrior Animal pins Stan Lane at 10:51. *1/2 Road Warrior Animals record goes to 1-0, Stan Lanes goes to 0-1, and both Hawks and Eatons remains untouched.
Overall Rating: 50%
Crowd Reaction: 51%
Match Quality: 49%
Road Agent Notes: This match suffered because the crowd were still pumped up from the last one, and so this bout was seen as something of a let down to them.
7. Shelton Benjamin (0-0) vs. C.M. Punk (0-0):
The usual match to stick on before the Main Event for trips to the concession stands, bathrooms, etc. etc. Shelton Benjamin was a last minute pick up after being released by WWE, while C.M. Punk is still looking to make a name for himself. The primary use for this match was to put over Benjamin. Pretty short match, but still good enough (with a dead crowd, of course) sees Benjamin defeat Punk with the roundhouse Dragon Kick at 4:12. ** Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling Part II. Benjamins record goes to 1-0, while Punk becomes another victim of being 0-1.
Overall Rating: 52%
Crowd Reaction: 36%
Match Quality: 69%
8. XWF World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Hulk Hogan (0-0) vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage (0-0):
Thrown together Main Event, but the participants were chosen based on popularity and the amount they are being paid to get closer to being retired. Hogan was picked up from WWE as part of their Summer cleaning, and no one wants to deal with Savage. Horrible wrestling match, but the crowd is Super Pumped, even moreso than the Sting/Hennig match from earlier in the show. Savage nails the big elbow drop, but Hogan Hulks Up, nails the big boot and leg drop, and becomes the first ever XWF World Champion at 13:01. ***1/4 Hogans record goes to 1-0 with a + next to it because of it being a Title win, while Savage becomes the big loser of the night and the last to go down to 0-1.

XWF Total Impact: (July 5th, 2005):
1. Tatanka (0-0) def. Barry Horowitz (0-0) - Used primarily to put over Tatanka, since Horowitz is a complete Jobber. Nothing much of a match, as Tatanka wins with the Papoose To Go at 4:39. *1/2 Overall Rating: 46% Crowd Reaction: 43% Match Quality: 49%
X. Lex Luger challenges Hulk Hogan to a World Title Match later in the night, which is accepted soon after. This was trying to set up a big match, but ended up biting me in the ass because... Overall Rating: 77% Road Agent Notes: Hulk Hogan lost 2 points of overness from this segmen.
2. Barry Windham (0-0) def. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (0-0) - Just a thrown together match with two people that have nothing better to do. Windham pins Duggan clean with the Superplex at 6:17. **1/2 Overall Rating: 59% Crowd Reaction: 65% Match Quality: 47% Road Agent Notes: Jim Duggan lost 1 points of overness from this match. Barry Windham gained 2 points of overness from this match.
X2. Backstage, the Destruction Crew run into Ahmed Johnson and beat him within an inch of his life, and thus has him being stretchered out. Somehow, though, THIS Happened because Ahmed got in some shots on Vader... Overall Rating: 48% Road Agent Notes: Ahmed Johnson gained 1 point of overness from this segment. Vader lost 3 points of overness from this segment.
3. (XWF Cruiserweight Title) TAKA Michinoku (1-0) NC Super Crazy (0-0) - Used to improve the reputation of the Title and to put on a good match. Johnny Smith runs in towards the end of the match and Powerbombs both men, drawing a No Contest decision at 11:15. ***1/4 Used to begin a feud between Johnny Smith and TAKA Michinoku over the CW Title. Michinoku goes to 1-0-1+ while Crazy gets a Draw. Overall Rating: 73% Crowd Reaction: 57% Match Quality: 89% Road Agent Notes: The XWF Cruiserweight title has gained in image.
4. Curt Hennig (0-1) def. Marty Jannetty (0-1) - Another thrown together match like earlier to get a good rating out of, and to give someone a win. The someone would be the one with the most suffering loss from the PPV, which was Hennig. Hennig wins the match (which was pretty short) with the Perfect-Plex at 6:27. **3/4 Hennig improves to 1-1 while Jannetty dinks lower to 0-2. Overall Rating: 64% Crowd Reaction: 68% Match Quality: 58%
X3. Hulk Hogan with an Interview backstage on his upcoming match with Lex Luger for his XWF World Heavyweight Title. Overall Rating: 79%
5. The Rock N Roll Express (0-0) def. The Can-Am Express (0-0) - Thrown together to get a tag team match onto the show without blowing the load of using all the Champions in one night. Also used to try and get a good match, which didn't work out as well as hoped. Morton pinned Furnas following a double RnR Dropkick at 7:48. ** Morton gets the pin, so his record goes to 1-0, and Furnas drops to 0-1 for taking the loss. Overall Rating: 51% Crowd Reaction: 40% Match Quality: 63%
- Ahmed Johnson limps to the ringside area, where he is attacked from a Debuting Sean O'Haire, who ran in from the crowd! I don't know what's going on, but this is the final result of the attack that's supposed to put over O'Haire... Overall Rating: 46% Road Agent Notes: Ahmed Johnson gained 2 points of overness from this segment.
6. Scott Norton (0-0) def. Rick Steiner (0-0) - The push for the Destruction Crew continues, and we get the Stiffest Match of the Year. Vader makes another appearence and levels Steiner with the Vader Bomb to help Norton pick up the victory at 8:05. *1/2 The beating continues after the match... and no one saves Steiner. Oh well... Overall Rating: 48% Crowd Reaction: 39% Match Quality: 57%
7. (XWF World Title) Hulk Hogan (1-0) def. Lex Luger (0-0) - The first ever main event on XWF Total Impact... and God Damn, is it bad. Nothing but sloppy and weak moves by both men, but the crowd is still super hot for it. Hogan no sells the Torture Rack, comes back with the big boot, and finishes Luger off with the Leg Drop to retain the Championship at 10:21. **3/4 Hogan improves to 2-0, while Luger goes to 0-1 and will suffer punishment next week... MUWAHAHAHA... Overall Rating: 63% Crowd Reaction: 83% Match Quality: 17% Road Agent Notes: Lex Luger basically no-sold everything, which ruined the match. The XWF World title has gained in image.

XWF Total Impact: (July 12th, 2005)
1. Koko B. Ware (0-0) def. Typhoon (0-0) - The first of many matches to feature two debuting wrestlers, and the crowd couldn't give a damn about either one of them at this point in their careers. Ware picks up the clean duke following a missile dropkick from the top rope at 5:47. DUD Ware improves to 1-0, which will probably be the only time his record is above .500, and Typhoon drops to 0-1. Neither man will probably be used in a serious role, so don't expect much out of them.
Overall Rating: 28%
Crowd Reaction: 25%
Match Quality: 31%
Road Agent Notes: Koko B. Ware gained 2 points of overness from this match.
- Backstage segment with Big Van Vader, who threatens much harm on XWF World Champion Hulk Hogan. Obviously used to advance the angle between these two for the World Title at an upcoming PPV.
Overall Rating: 71%
2. Rhythm & Blues (0-0) def. The Faces of Fear (0-0) - Another match between a bunch of guys who haven't been used yet, to keep them all as happy as possible. Judging from the print out, quite a boring match, which is what you would probably expect from these two teams. Honky wins with a roll-up on the Barbarian for the first cheap roll up finish in XWF TV History at 8:06. * Honky goes to 1-0, and the Barbarian drops to 0-1. The team of HTM and Valentine were originally slated to feud with the Road Warriors, but they pulled a power play, and thus R&B are doing nothing and probably not liking it.
Overall Rating: 45%
Crowd Reaction: 48%
Match Quality: 41%
3. Johnny Smith (0-0) def. Chris Chetti (0-0) - Johnny Smith is in an angle with TAKA Michinoku over the XWF Cruiserweight Championship, so this match is booked to put him over as a contender while not hurting anyone with real credibility. Smith however, isn't too confident in his ability, so resorts to KO'ing Chetti with a steel chair shot and applies a single-leg Bosotn Crab to pick up the victory at 7:25. *** After the match, Smith continues the punishment on Chetti, and levels him with another chair shot. Smith gets his first official victory, while Chetti gets his first loss.
Overall Rating: 70%
Crowd Reaction: 59%
Match Quality: 81%
- Ahmed Johnson and Scott Norton have a confrontation backstage over last weeks actions, but a bunch of no-named Wrestlers hold them apart to keep anything from happening. Since Ahmed has actually gotten some overness, I thought why not stick him in a feud with the DC Member with nothing to do?
Overall Rating: 49%
Road Agent Notes: Ahmed Johnson gained 2 points of overness from this segment.
4. R.C. Haas & Shelton Benjamin (1-0) def. Barry Horowitz (0-1) & Brooklyn Brawler (0-0) - Used to debut Benjamin and Haas as a Tag team, and Horowitz and Brawler were selected because they both suck and will never get over or pushed in my promotion. Haas makes the Brawler submit to the Haas of Pain to pick up the victory at 3:23. * R.C. Haas gets the first victory in his XWF career, while the Brawler gets the loss. Horowitz and Benjamin remain the same. Haas and Benjamin are yet another team the LOD refused to feud with.

- Backstage, it is confirmed that next week on XWF Total Impact, Johnny Smith will challenge TAKA Michinoku for the Cruiserweight Championship. To make a point Smith attacks TAKA backstage and destroys his knee with a leg grapevine. Obviously, next week won't be the blowoff to the feud...
Overall Rating: 53%
5. King Kong Bundy (0-0) def. Brian Adams (0-0) - Yet another match thrown together to get some of the leftovers of non-talent onto the XWF television programs. Bundy could be used as a threat to Hogan, but the crowd wasn't into him here, and neither for Adams. Bundy wins the match clean with the Avalanche in the corner at 4:12. DUD Blah Blah Blah, Bundy gets the victory for a 1-0 record, and Adams is the big loser of the night.

6. Johnny B. Badd (0-0) def. Chris Candido (1-0) - Put together mainly because the show was seriously lacking good talent, and again, to use Johnny B. Badd. Pretty good match as expected from these two, but only one man can come out the winner, and that was Badd, who won the match following the Tutti Frutti at 8:19. ***1/4 Badd picks up the first victory of his XWF run, while Candido drops his first match to shake his record down to 1-1.

- Hulk Hogan is backstage. He wanted to rip into Curt Hennig. That's a good way to build up to an eventual match. Yes, I didn't feel like rewriting a one sentence description. Used primarily to pop a rating since the rest of the show was pretty bad up until this point.
Overall Rating: 89%
7. Hulk Hogan (2-0) def. Curt Hennig (1-1) - Non-Title Match since Hennig was a Non-Contender, and I didn't want to overuse the belt so quickly. Best Hogan match so far in terms of actual wrestling quality, but still not too good. The hot crowd keeps it alive though, as Hogan picks up the clean victory after Hennig wastes too much time stalling. Hogan won with the leg drop at 9:38 by the way. *** After the match, Vader hit the ring and took out Hogan with a chair shot, followed by the Vader Bomb. I think someone has Hulk Hogans number... - Face-to-Face confrontation in the ring between Hulk Hogan and Big Van Vader over the XWF World Championship. Verbal blows are exchanged, but nothing physical comes out of this. I don't expect this to be the end for the night, but this feud is really not going over with the fans, so don't expect it to be drawn out too long.

The Midnights and Windham pick up the easy victory when Bobby Eaton pinned Dreamer with the Alabama Jam at 6:37. ** Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling. Eaton picks up his first victory, and Dreamer loses his first match.

2. Ahmed Johnson (0-0) def. Typhoon (0-1) - Typhoon returns for more Job Duty, since Ahmed is actually starting to get over unintentionally. Johnson pins Typhoon with a powerslam at 4:17. DUD After the match, Scott Norton storms the ring and attacks Ahmed from behind, knocking him out with a lariat to the back of the head. - COPY & PAST TIME! Hulk Hogan has come down to the ringside area. He climbs into the ring...but is too late to see Vader come out of nowhere with a chair shot to the head! And another! Hogan has been left down on the mat, holding his head. Looks like he has been lacerated quite badly, there is blood everywhere. Vader picks him up...Vader Bomb onto the chair! With Hogan down and out, Vader wraps the chair around the ankle, then climbs to the second rope. He leaps...and Pillmanizes Hogan by hitting a flying stomp, closing the chair around his ankle! Hulk Hogan rolls around in agony! Vader places the chair in flat in the center of the ring, then drags Hogan up. He brings Hogan up...then drives him down with a piledriver onto the chair! Hulk Hogan has been left beaten to a pulp in the ring! As Vader leaves the ring, paramedics come running down to help Hogan. They load him onto a stretcher carefully, then take Hulk Hogan out toward a waiting ambulance.

TAKA almost has the match one, but Smith resorts to cheating when a referee bump occurs and he blasts TAKA with the ring bell. The referee though recovered in time to see the incident, and disqualified Smith at 14:22, allowing Michinoku to retain the championship. ***1/4 After the match, Johnny Smith continued his assault on Michinoku as the broadcast comes to an end. XWF News & Notes (July 21st, 2005):
- Ahmed Johnson was involved in a backstage brawl the night prior to the latest edition of XWF Total Impact. No actions were taken against Ahmed, but right now he is skating on thin ice, and another incident like this will lead to some sort of punishment, most likely a suspension.
- Brian Knobbs broke his leg in a House Show match on July 20th, 2005, and will be out of action for a whopping 16 months. This isn't good news for Jerry Sags, who has yet to be used, and has no future in a singles career.
- Marty Jannetty has also suffered an injury, but is only saddled with a broken hand. Jannetty will most likely return to action in the beginning of September.
- More Injury news.. Bushwacker Butch tore his calf, and will be out of action for 10 months. The plans for a Bushwackers heel turn will be discarded now, and maybe team up Luke with Nasty Boy Sags to form "The Nastywackers".
- Also still on the injured list, includes Jim Neidhart (also a broken leg, and out for 15 more months), and Big Vito (out with a torn bicep for 4 more months). It is unlikely that Neidhart will return to action in the XWF when he comes off the injured list, and Vitos career is also clouded.
- XWF Beach Brawl takes place on July 31st, and right now, the card looks to be headlined by an 8-Man Tag Team Match, with Team #1 consisting of Hulk Hogan, Ahmed Johnson, TAKA Michinoku, and Tatanka, against the most likely team of Big Van Vader, Scott Norton, Johnny Smith, and Steve Williams. The problem with this, though, leaves the card empty of title matches outside of the Tag Teams (held by the Road Warriors). Most of the angles involving the Destruction Crew will blow off at the August PPV (TBA), except for TAKA/Smith, which has been building steem with the crowds.

XWF Total Impact: (July 26th, 2005)
1. Big Van Vader (1-0) def. Rick Steiner (0-1) - This is Rick Steiners punishment for stiffing up Scott Norton a few weeks ago on Total Impact, and Vader needs someone to be put over. The usual stiff match, with Vader being stiffer, and he finishes off Steiner with the Vader Bomb at 8:39. **1/2 Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling. - Hulk Hogan with an interview backstage on Big Van Vader. The war has just begun apparently. Used once again to try and get their feud over with the crowd, and it seems to be working now after a pretty slow start.

2. Johnny Smith (1-1) def. C.M. Punk (0-1) - Another match to put over Johnny Smith without having to put him over anyone the crowd actually cares for or will care for in the near future, even with a big ass push. 4. Curt Hennig (1-2) & Barry Windham (1-0) def. The Road Warriors (Animal 2;-0; Hawk 0-0) - Used to set up a Tag Team Title match on the upcoming PPV without having to sacrafice a team that is getting built up or a team I don't want to job out to the Road Warriors so fast. Hennig rools up Animal and hooks the ropes for leverage to pick up the victory at 8:59. **3/4 Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling. Hennig continues to be the most worked, bringing his record to 2-2, Windham remains at 1-0, Animals drops his first match and is 2-1, and Hawk remains undecided in all of his matches.

- Vader is backstage. He talked trash about Hulk Hogan, continuing their feud. It seems like this feud is starting to build steam, or at least more of it, since last week the ratings were barely popping 70%, and now they've increased a whopping 10% each. Vader promises a surprise for the Hulkster at the end of tonights broadcast.
Overall Rating: 82%
5. Ahmed Johnson (1-0) def. Alex Wright (0-0) - More building up for Ahmed Johnson, which is quite funny since I only signed him to Job him out, not to get over without trying. The usual match you would expect out of these two guys, as Ahmed wins it quite easily with the Pearl River Plunge at 6:30. *1/2 Surprisingly, there is no post match attack by Scott Norton, since I've over done that kind of angle.

6. (XWF Television Title) Steve Williams (1-0+) NC Tatanka (1-0) - This angle just began, so like last weeks TAKA/Smith match, there's no way I'm going to blow it off this soon. Surprisingly good match, but sinc eI don't want to hurt either of the participants, especially Dr. Death, I decided to make it a Double Disqualification/No Contest after a weak couple of referee bumps at 11:12. **3/4 Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling... both men have their records go to 1-0-1.

XWF Beach Brawl 2005: (July 31st, 2005):
A. Kamala (0-0), Koko B. Ware (1-0), Jim Duggan (0-1) vs. King Kong Bundy (1-0), Sean O'Haire (1-0), Chris Candido (1-1):
Another thrown together Dark Match before the PPV officially begins. Everyone is pretty much directionless except for Sean O'Haire, which just gives away the result I bet. Sean O'Haire pins Kamala with a cheap roll-up finish at 7:15. ** O'Haire's record improves to 2-0, Kamala suffers his first loss in the XWF, and everyone elses record remains the same.
Overall Rating: 52%

1. Bushwacker Luke (0-0) vs. Jerry Sags (0-0):
I just felt like throwing this on the PPV for a few reasons... 1. Neither guy will be doing anything soon, so I wanted to at least give them 1 match, and 2. I had a seriously lack of planning for this PPV, only building up for 1 match, 1 match in the last week, and nothing else. The obviously boring match leads to Sags pinning Luke with a top rope elbow drop at 7:28. * Sags goes to 1-0, and Luke drops to 0-1, but those records will be pointless eventually.
Overall Rating: 44%
Crowd Reaction: 45%

2. Randy Savage (0-1) vs. Lex Luger (0-1):
It's the battle of two people that jobbed to Hulk Hogan in a span of 48 hours. Neither has anything to do other than being over-priced fossils, but since they get crowd reactions, I tossed them both into a match to milk it for all I could. The expected horribly worked match between these two (as usual), but the crowd heat boosts the rating quite a bit. Savage beats Luger with the top rope elbow at 10:19 if you need to know. *** Savage splits his record and goes to 1-1, while Luger continues losing and drops to 0-2.
Overall Rating: 68%
Crowd Reaction: 84%
Match Quality: 33%
Road Agent Notes: Lex Luger basically no-sold everything, which ruined the match.
3. Giant Gonzales (0-0) vs. The Ultimate Warrior (0-0):
AAAAAAAAAAH! Gonzales is a once in a while deal to try and get the worst match as possible out of him, but putting him against Warrior increased the crowd reaction, so that was a stupid move. Neither guy has direction, although I just gave away Warriors plans for the next two weeks. Thankfully the match only lasts a couple of minutes until Warrior wins with a shoulder tackle at 2:34. DUD Yuk... Warriors debut boosts him to 1-0, and Gonzales down to 0-1.
Overall Rating: 34%
Crowd Reaction: 42%
Match Quality: 17%
Road Agent Notes: Giant Gonzales basically no-sold everything, which ruined the match. This match suffered because the crowd were still pumped up from the last one, and so this bout was seen as something of a let-down to them.
4. XWF World Tag Team Championship Match:
The Road Warriors (Animal 2-1; Hawk 0-0) © vs. Curt Hennig (2-2) & Barry Windham (1-0):
Last minute build up match, as the challengers won cheaply on the previous episode of Total Impact, where Hennig pinned Animal with use of the ropes. Naturally, this lead to a Title Match on this PPV. Pretty long and well booked old school match, but the finish leads a lot to be desired as Windham brings a chair into the ring, which leads to Hawk using it in front of the referee, Disqualifying the Road Warriors at 20:19. *** Since titles cannot change hands on Count-Out and Disqualification, the Road Warriors remain the Tag Team Champions. Windham boosts his record to 2-0 since he was the legal man in the ring, while Hawk gets his first decision, dropping to 0-1.
Overall Rating: 67%
Crowd Reaction: 73%
Match Quality: 54%
Road Agent Notes: Road Warrior Animal lost 1 points of overness from this match. Barry Windham gained 1 point of overness from this match. Curt Hennig gained 2 points of overness from this match. The XWF Tag Team titles have gained in image.
5. The Rock N' Roll Express (Morton 1-0, Gibson 0-0) vs. The Midnight Express (Eaton 1-0, Lane 0-1):
The annual thrown together match between the RnR and Midnight Express teams, which usually produces a half-decent rating. Quite short compared to some of their other matches, but still well booked, if not very good. Morton gets the hot tag, but falls victim to a crescent kick to the midsection by Lane, followed by the Alabama Jam by Eaton, giving the MX the victory at 12:46. ** Perfectly Acceptable Wrestling. Eaton improves to 2-0, while Morton drops his first loss and is 1-1.
Overall Rating: 52%
Crowd Reaction: 48%

6. Special Attraction Match:
Sting (1-0) vs. Bret "Hitman" Hart (0-0):
Special Attraction because both men are only available for action on Pay-Per-Views, both can actually put on a good match, and I had to fill up more time without using all the horrible wrestlers. Very well worked match, which I guess can be credited to Hart. The finish comes with Hart reversing the Scorpion Deathlock and making Sting give up to his own version of the Sharpshooter at 13:31. ***1/4 Following the match, both men shake hands in an act of sportsmanship. Hart wins his first XWF match, and Stings record drops to 1-1.
Overall Rating: 73%
Crowd Reaction: 78%
Match Quality: 64%
Road Agent Notes: Bret Hart gained 2 points of overness from this match.
7. Johnny B. Badd (1-0) vs. Super Crazy (0-0-1):
Another thrown together match that would hopefully bring in a good rating, since neither man has ever had any history with the other, and never win. Short and simple, they are my scape goats for when I book a majority bad show. The best match you could expect here with such a weird combination, as Badd picks up another victory with the Tutti Frutti at 9:29. *** Badd improves to 2-0, while Crazy has a hard time finding a win, dropping to 0-1-1.

8. Beach Brawl Main Event; 8-Man Tag Team Match:

I blue my load with this match, building up 4 seperate feuds and combining them into one match. Hogan and Vader have an issue over the XWF World Heavyweight Title, Ahmed Johnson has had a problem with the Destruction Crew since they beat him down for no reason, Tatanka is chasing Williams for the Television Title, and Smith/TAKA have issues over the Cruiserweight Title. Lots of wild action in this one, as we see a lot of weird combinations for double teaming, like with Hogan and Tatanka, or Ahmed and TAKA. All heck spills loose until Vader catches Hogan off guard with a splash in the corner followed by the Vader Bomb to pick up the victory for the Destruction Crew at 24:05. **3/4 Vader improves his record to an undefeated 3-0, while Hogan suffers his first loss and now holds a record of 3-1. - Vader promo directed towards Hulk Hogan (80%)
1. Mike Awesome (1-0) def. Ahmed Johnson (2-0) (*1/2)

- Hulk Hogan issues a challenge to the Ultimate Warrior for a match on the Debut Edition of XWF Explosion on August 5th, 2005. (73%)
2. King Kong Bundy (1-0) def. Typhoon (0-2) (1/2*)
I like having Typhoon job to everyone, and since he's a fat fuck, I wanted to job him out to another fat fuck. Bundy wins with the Avalanche at 4:12. No real reason for anything else though, and neither will be pushed soon. (37%/42%/28%)
Road Agent Notes: Typhoon didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating.

Just wanted to get in a big tag team match, and wanted to use a few people that have been neglected for a couple of weeks. Lane pins Haas following a martial arts kick into his midsection at 13:40. The Midnights are being prepped for a push, but I have a lot of pressure on pushing Eaton as a singles star. (53%/49%/57%)
4. Barry Windham (2-0) def. Road Warrior Hawk (0-1) (***)
Windham's push continues, as he has been gaining in popularity and putting on half-decent matches. Windham goes over Hawk after knocking him out with what looked like brass knuckles at 10:08. This sets up a Tag Title defense on the Debut episode of XWF Explosion this coming Friday night. (66%/73%/52%)

More build up for Vader vs. Hogan for the August PPV, and I just wanted to throw in two other guys into the match. Sadly, the scheduled Hogan/Warrior match had to be canceled for Explosion, as Warrior tore his bicep sometime during this match, and will be out of action for 4 months. After the match, Candido and Smith brawl around the arena... will this set up a triangle feud? Only time will tell... (73%/62%/85%)

2. (XWF TV Title) Steve Williams (1-0-1) def. Johnny B. Badd (2-0) (***)
Title defense number two of four tonight, and it's Williams' first succesful title defense since winning the strap. He makes short work of the Undefeated Johnny B. Badd, and pins him with the Doctor Bomb at 8:10. Tatanka runs down to the ring to prevent any further assault being done to Badd. (67%/65%/70%)

3. (XWF Tag Team Title) Barry Windham (2-0) & Curt Hennig (2-2) def. The Road Warriors (Animal 2-1; Hawk 0-2) to become the NEW XWF Tag Team Champions (***)
Set up with multiple cheap wins from both Windham and Hennig against the LOD. The first ever title switch on XWF Explosion, and it happens when Windham pins Animal following the Lariat (a.k.a Clothesline from Heck) at 14:15. 4. Papa Shango (0-0) def. Chris Chetti (0-1) (**1/2)
The Debut of Papa Shango in the XWF, fresh off being fired by World Wrestling Entertainment. Extended squash that somehow got a good rating. Shango pinned Chetti following a Shoulder Breaker at 7:28. Shango casts a spell on his defeated opponent following the match. (58%/58%/59%)
5. (XWF World Title) Hulk Hogan (3-2) def. Masato Tanaka (0-0) (**3/4)
The fourth and final title defense of the night, and the first ever Explosion Main Event. Hogan is able to snap his losing streak with a clean victory over Tanaka with the big boot and leg drop combination at 12:49. This was miles better than what would probably have come out of Hogan/Warrior III. Vader does yet another post-match attack on Hogan. (65%/70%/54%)

Scrooge McSuck - May 19, 2005 03:47 AM (GMT)
XWF Total Impact: (8/9/05)
- Hulk Hogan interview to continue the never ending talking between him and Vader to set up their big one-on-one match at Summer Blast 2005. (84%)
1. The Road Warriors (Animal 2-1; Hawk 0-2) def. The Midnight Express (Eaton 2-0; Lane 1-1), and The Can-Am Express (Furnas 0-1; LaFon 1-0) (**1/2)
#1 Contenders Rules, which is pretty pointless because I assume everyone (all 2 of you) reading this knows the Road Warriors will get the titles back. Animal picks up the win for his team (of course) by pinning Furnas with a Powerslam at 12:19. Animal improves his record to 3-1, while Furnas continues to be unlucky with a second loss in his second match. (56%/54%/58%)
- Candido completed his face turn by confronting Johnny Smith and challenging him to an Impromtu match, which will happen right after the commercial break. (61%)
Road Agent Notes: Chris Candido's turn was completed, and he is now a face. Chris Candido gained 7 points of overness from this turn.
2. Johnny Smith (2-1) def. Chris Candido (1-2) (***1/4)
Stemming from last weeks Explosion where Smith "accidentally" cost Candido the Cruiserweight Championship, and thus turning Candido face. Pretty good match sees Smith hook the tights of Candido to pick up a tainted victory at 10:16. Smiths record improves to 3-1 while Candido gets screwed and drops to 1-3. After the match, the two continue to brawl around the ring, and it ends up backstage where it's finally broken up. (73%/63%/83%)
3. Steve Williams (2-0-1) def. Typhoon (0-3) (*)
I continue to try and break a record, by continuing Typhoons losing streak which makes it the worst record in the XWF. Williams manhandles for the majority of the match, and pins him with the Oklahoma Stampede at 6:01. (44%/46%/42%)
Road Agent NoteS: Typhoon really didn't sell very much, which hurt the match rating.
4. (XWF Tag Team Titles) Barry Windham (3-0) & Curt Hennig (2-2) def. Bushwacker Luke (0-1) & Jerry Sags (1-0) (**)
Token title first title defense by the New Champions, which means facing two losers/jobbers/undirectional wrestlers. Windham and Hennig win the match easily, capped off with Hennig pinning Bushwacker Luke with the Perfect-Plex at 7:28. Windham and Hennig continue the beating on Luke as Sags leaves the ring area. (53%/57%/44%)
Road Agent Notes: Bushwacker Luke didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating. the XWF Tag Team Titles have gained in image.
- Hulk Hogan with another promo (sounds like an old episode of Saturday Night Main Event), hyping the match tonight against Mike Awesome. In fact, it's next! (81%)
5. (XWF World Title) Hulk Hogan (4-2) def. Mike Awesome (2-0) (**3/4)
Part of the unofficial angle where Hogan goes through all of the members of the Destruction Crew, except everyone after this match will probably only lose after botched interference or something. Hogan wins with the usual of Hulking Up after the Awesome Bomb and putting Awesome away with the leg drop at 11:20. (63%/72%/44%)

XWF Explosion: (8/12/05)
1. (XWF CW Title) Bobby Eaton (2-0) def. TAKA Michinoku (3-0-1) by Count-Out (**3/4)
Thrown together match to continue the angle between Michinoku and Smith. After a pretty good match, Smith makes his way to the ring and knocks Michinoku out on the outside of the ring, allowing Eaton to pick up the tainted victory at 11:56. Smith continues his assault on Michinoku until officials can break it up. ( 64%/50%/78%)
Road Agent Notes: Bobby Eaton gained 1 point of overness from this match. The XWF Cruiserweight title has gained in image.
2. Lex Luger (0-2) def. Typhoon (0-4) (*1/2)
A battle of the Winless, and thrown on to continue the losing streak of Typhoon, because lord knows losers get over. Luger picks up the win in a lethargic match with the Torture Rack at 4:06. (46%/56%/25%)
Road Agent Notes: Typhoon didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating.
- Tatanka issues a challenge to Steve Williams for the XWF Television Championship at the upcoming PPV title Summer Blast. Will the challenge be accepted? Probably... (47%)
3. Barry Windham (3-0) def. KISS Demon (1-1) (***)
Windham continues to be on a hot streak, extending his record to 4-0 and having another pretty good match with someone with very little talent. He picks up the victory with the second rope superplex at 7:25. (66%/67%/65%)
- Backstage, the Road Warriors catch up to Windham and Hennig and lay them out with several steel chair shots to advence their angle over the Tag Team Titles. (75%)
Road Agent Notes: Barry Windham gained 2 points of overness from this segment.
4. The Faces of Fear (Haku 0-0, The Barbarian 0-1) def. Jim Duggan (0-1) & Jimmy Snuka Jr. (0-0) (*)
Thrown together match to get some people who haven't been used much in the XWF to this point. Haku wins the match by making Duggan submit to the Tongan Death Grip at 11:56. Haku goes to 1-0, Duggan drops to 0-2, and everyone else remains the same. (42%/47%/31%)
Road Agent Notes: Jim Duggan lost 1 points of overness from this match. The Barbarian gained 2 points of overness from this match. Haku gained 1 point of overness from this match. Jimmy Snuka Jr didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating.
5. Chris Candido (1-3) def. Cassidy O'Reilly (0-1) (**)
The first match of Candidos since his face turn... actually it's his second, but most of the people in XWF are senile, so pretend it's the first. Anyway, it's basically an extended squash match, as Candido picks up the win with the Blonde Bombshell at 6:37. (54%/36%/72%)
- Hulk Hogan and Big Van Vader participate in a Contract Signing, making their Title match at Summer Blast official. Vader, of course, takes out Hogan following the signing, because it's in the contract of wrestling that this must always happen. (80%)

SamoaRowe - May 19, 2005 07:03 PM (GMT)
I really like how you are keeping track of win/loss statistics as well as show attendance.
Scrooge McSuck - May 19, 2005 07:07 PM (GMT)
It reminds me two things...
1. I'm a stat freak
2. If it starts declining, I better stop booking shitty shows and bust my ass to get something good going.
Judging by results so far, that last part has been ignored for quite some time.
Also, the records help me decide who is and isn't a Title Contender. Too bad one person with a good record will retire at the end of August. :(
Scrooge McSuck - May 19, 2005 07:44 PM (GMT)
XWF Total Impact: (8/16/05)
1. Tatanka (1-0-1) def. Haku (1-0) (**)
Tatanka is still deeply embedded in a feud with Steve Williams over the XWF Television Championship, and Haku is just floundering around in limbo, so he gets to put over the dancing guy with coals in his boots. Tatanka pins the former Islander with the Papoose to Go... I mean Fallaway Slam/Samoan Drop at 7:11. Tatanka improves his record to 2-0-1, and Haku suffers his first loss in the XWF and is now 1-1. (53%/51%/56%)
2. The Midnight Express (Eaton 3-0; Lane 1-1) def. Doink The Clown (0-2) & John Tenta (0-0) (*)
Thrown together match to put the Midnight Express over in the on going attempt to build up their credibility again. Doink The Clown has been a big Jobber, and Tenta is just there to take up space... no, that's not a fat joke. Too long of a match sees Stan Lane pink Doink following a martial arts kick at 9:42. Lane improves to 2-1, Eaton remains 3-0, and Doink suffers his 3rd loss in the XWF. (44%/43%/45%)
Road Agent Notes: John Tenta didn't really sell very much, which hurt the match rating.
- Scott Norton came out to the ring and challenged Hogan to a title match on behalf of the Destruction Crew for later in the match. Hogan accepts the challenge of course, and the match is set for this weeks Main Event! (63%)
Road Agent Notes: Hulk Hogan lost 2 points of overness from this segment.
3. The Road Warriors (Animal 3-1; Hawk 0-2) def. Drezden (0-0) & Mr. Jones (0-1) (**}
The Road Warriors continue being pushed after pretty much being jobbed out to the duo of Curt Hennig and Barry Windham in this current feud over the Tag Titles. Mr. Jones hasn't been used since the first XWF Show, and Drezden is finally making an appearence... and suffers the Doomsday Device, and gets pinned by Hawk at 5:16. Hawk gets his first win in the XWF despite being a Tag Champion, and Drezden his first loss. (54%/57%/50%)
- Following the match, the Road Warriors have some very unkindly words for Hennig and Windham, who they are scheduled to face for the Tag Team Titles at Summer Blast (due to winning a #1 Contenders Match). (72%)
4. Rick Steiner (0-2) def. Pez Whaley (0-0) (1/2*)
This is Pez Whatley's Debut in the XWF... and it isn't very pretty. Steiner has been jobbed in two big matches, and finally gets a win, destroying Whatley with the Steiner Line in an XWF record time of 0:58. Steiner moves to 1-2, and Whatley down to 0-1. (37%/40%/33%)
Road Agent Notes: Pez Whatley didn't sell very much, which hurt the match rating.
- TAKA Michinoku vs. Johnny Smith is confirmed for Summer blast with the XWF Cruiserweight Championship up for grabs, which leads into a horrible brawl that doesn't get anyone over. (49%)
5. (XWF World Title) Hulk Hogan (5-2) def. Scott Norton (1-0) (**3/4)
Hogan continues steam rolling through the Destruction Crew, except this time Vader accidentally costs Norton the match, setting him up as a victim to the leg drop and being pinned at 13:40. The duo try double teaming on Hogan, but Ahmed Johnson makes the save, which only makes sense because he has issues with Flash Norton. (61%/69%/43%)

NOOOOOOOOOO!
- Scott Norton has sustained a broken leg (what a fucking surprise)during his match with Hulk Hogan, and will be out of action for 16 months (a.k.a Nah Nah Nah Nah, Hey Hey Hey, Good Bye). With Norton injured, Ahmed Johnson will either face a replacement at Summer Blast, or the match will be scrapped from the card altogether.
