According to the Raw Preview, Kane faces Benoit and HBK vs. Edge like I expected... excuse me.

It'll probably be HHH/Kane.

They already announced it as Benoit/Kane, so I'll trust them. If it DOES end up being Hunter/Kane, I will vomit up every ounce of blood in me, leaving me for dead.

I really enjoyed how an extended, excruciatingly stupid commercial turned into Simon Dean and Maven, which then turned into the Hurricane charging into the ring in all his limited fury.

You know, if HBK wins tonight, HBK v Kane would actually be an incredibly fresh and fun match. Especially with Kane slowly moving more and more heel.

It'd be real fun if Kane mentioned how he helped HBK beat Taker back in the day.

Unforgiven 2004 was the only time that I remember them ever having an official match. Guess who went over. Still, I love the fact Kane tried killing Jesus. :P

Nice finish to the main event I thought. Old school sunset flip mixed with a weapon. I like it. HBK had to sell that thing for all eternity though on the slow count. Nice fuckin shot though, denting the hell out of the briefcase.

Match was just there though.

side note: the bit with batista and triple H was hysterical. there's something about triple H swearing he'll quit, lip trembling, and batista telling him to "take his ball and go home". classic stuff.

So it'll be Kane vs. Edge next week? $400 says we get the finish everyone is expected but WWE thinks we don't.

I think Edge vs. Kane is win-win as long as one of them actually gets the title shot.

Edge winning could be an awesome storyline.

Fuck Edge, Kane should get a Title Shot. Hell, he should get the title... for once. He held it for a day 7 years ago. Edge has plenty of time left to get the belt.

I'm really, really all for a quick switch title shot to either Edge or Kane (preferably Kane) to really mix shit up. Have the quick switch maybe to Kane, Edge is pissed so he envokes his briefcase.

I dont know. I'm talking out of my ass here. I just think it would be a really entertaining storyline to have Triple H on the outside looking in. He just whines and cries constantly about his belt. If Lita turned, Edge v Kane might be able to draw with some build. Bring back the usual players, Snitsky and Matt (yes, I know) to make it real fun.

Shit, we never did get a paternity test for Kane.

This could be fun.

Edit: Further thoughts to add. I'm really liking this idea. Batista just feels sluggish with the gold, and he and Triple H still (been saying this since before WM) don't need the title to have the feud they should be having. So Triple H stays off TV completely next week, making us think he is gone. Kane v Edge needs nice build, big main event feel. In the match Lita turns on Kane for what should be the finish. Like, Edge is about to whack Kane with the 'case, Lita steals it. She stares down Edge, turns and just wallops Kane with it. Kane stumbles back into the corner and eats a spear. 1...2...kick out barely. Kane sits up (the spear sucks anyway by a 200 lber) and stares down Lita. He gets ahold of her, chokeslams her to hell, turns to Edge, almost eats a DDT and finishes with the tombstone for old times sake. Afterwards, Lita and Edge beat the hell out of Kane with Lita's crutches, and the bloody him with the briefcase.

With the turn, Kane should be firmly supplanted as a babyface. Next week, taunts from Edge and Lita about the legitimacy of Kane as the father of the baby. Hell, Ross can even do his semi-kayfabe shit with something like "well we heard the rumors about these two...I guess it is official now" and have Edge say that after Kane loses to Batista, he'll lose his manhood too when Edge reveals next week that he wasn't the father of Lita's baby. Lita has to just turn uber-slut during all this too. Man I'm rambling.

Somehow Kane beats Batista in a face v face Main Event without pissing the crowd off. You never know who'll they'll be behind anyway. Triple H needs to interfere just to keep the program with Batista going, yet he will be pissed when he realizes Kane has won the title.

Triple H opens RAW the next week bitching about how he still wants a rematch for the title. Bischoff comes out and says he'll get his rematch now...but not against Kane for the title....it'll be against Batista, like he wanted...in the HELL IN A CELL!!!!!! Okay, sorry. Of course, he is interupted by Edge and Lita, who finally put the briefcase into effect. Edge announces that he wants the title shot at the PPV, and Triple H is incensed.

I like it. But there is NOOOOOOO fucking way any of it happens. It sure was fun to type though.

Kane shouldn't win the title.....period. He is fine with the gimmick that they have him in with Lita and all that shit. They don't need to mix in the title with that. Edge should be the one to get the title if they even change it to anyone. I'm pissed that now we get fucking Edge/Kane instead of a HBK/Benoit match that I ACTUALLY would have wanted to see.

If their Backlash 2004 match is any indication on how good this one will be, we are in big trouble.

Me too...........they NEVER do the ref bump anymore.

I cut it off at the ref bump. I'm not watching that crap anymore. I was disappointed with Shelton / Conway. Way too short, and I was hoping it was building to a Conway singles run. Instead, he basically got squashed. Looking at the original tournament brackets, the worst possible final I could come up with would be Kane / Edge. WWE delivers again.

I was thinking the same thing about the final. Then again if they had some blockbuster match for the final it might blow away the mediocreness that is Triple H/Batista.

Some other RAW thoughts:

Maven is on Steroids.

Maria should not be employed.

Hassan has no direction, and must suck tremendously in the ring to be protected the way he is. Only Chris Masters rivals him as wrestlers who never wrestle.

Over the top in love Kane is hilarious.

Shawn's gay shirt getting ate by the stage was beautiful.

I'm a big A-Team mark (Hey, I'm an 80's kid) and I'm actually pretty big on the guy that is Mr. T in the Video (He's Freddie Foxxx who's been a rapper for sometime, who's actually really good) and I'd rather watch the video than another goddamned diva's segment.

I think the song is pure cheese, but the video is kind of cool in a goofy way.

I actually held the Cena cd in my hands today when I went to buy WrestleMania 21. My buddy from the media department handed it to me and mentioned that some really dumb marks had been there earlier asking for it.
