Title: Worst Feds Ever

Nominate the worst feds you've ever had the horror of watching.

I'll go first and nominate Jerry Lawler's USWA fed. This is an easy one as Jerry Lawler was a 27 time World Champion for them and Bill Dundee (who sucks) got pushed to the moon there. Let's also take into account that Brian Christopher is something like a 20something time champion there as well.

Also the Moondogs won a bunch of Tag Titles there as well.

Second one is a local Ohio fed that was called the IWA. Not one of their wrestlers ever amounted to anything and I'm guessing few accept for Doink the Clown ever appeared in another fed. Most of the guys were fat and could barely wrestle.

UWF... the later version (you know, after selling out to NWA and having all their stars pushed nowhere). The Beach Brawl PPV featured nothing but a bunch of has-beens and no names. In fact, the only young(ish) stars were really Bam Bam Bigelow and Dr. Death Steve Williams.

USWA gets a second vote from me. KOKO B. WARE and KAMALA exchanged the World Title.... I'm sorry, but (throws up)

One of my worst feds would have to be IWA Puerto Rico. We get it here in Pittsburgh on one of the local channels and I've never seen a good episode. The matches are slow, boring, and even when they bring in decent people (I've seen guys like Abyss and Homicide wrestle there) it isn't even remotely good.

IWA: PR I second... god Damn is it bad.

I'm surprised no one has nominated XPW yet. I guess I'll be the first :P

 You beat me to it!

I have a slight temptation to say CZW, but also want to refrain from it.

I think CZW gets saved for having a couple of good years and converting from a garbage fed to a junior fed.

Jimmy Hart's XWF

Also the AWA get a laugh out of me, if only for thier crack induced website

Since we're on the topic of current promotions that failed... the WWA. 5 or so "tours" that featured less than spectacular results, and the same crop of over-the-hill legends, nobodies, and the occasional Indy talent.

I won't vote it worse than the XWF though, since it gave me a chance to finally see Sting again. :)

CZW isn't so bad. Out of the two dvds of theirs I own, I enjoy one of them and just dislike the other one.

They have a lot of talented wrestlers. May be it's just because they're key to popularity is the "200 Light Tube" matches.

After watching this IWA Puerto Rico crap for about 20 seconds, I think it's easily the worst fed ever. Blech...not only do the matches suck ass, but the commentary is even worse, done with as much interest as having to watch Golf for 10 hours.

The finish of one match was David Flair knocking some out of shape mexican with a SCRUNCHIE

(vomits)

What we are discussing is entirely personal preference to begin with, but I don't think it's so much that USWA is a candidate for worst promotion or worst wrestling, it's just a matter of rather or not you dig the Memphis style. I hate lucha but I wouldn't necessarily say AAA and EMLL are the two worst promotions I've ever seen.

As for me, what was that shit in Florida about five years ago called, WXO? They had Chris Cruise, Ted Dibiase, kept hyping appearances from Japanese wrestlers. The TV was atrocious IMO.

Scrooge McSuck - May 28, 2005 06:17 AM (GMT)
I've seen some USWA... and it's bad, which is mainly because of horrible booking. It makes a WWE Event look clean of shit finishes. I can't even count how many times I've seen a "We have a new champion, no wait, the referee reverses the decision" finish in USWA, especially when it's a Lawler match.

Big F'N Swigg - May 29, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
On TV, I'd say USA Pro Wrestling. It was horrible. Mostly TNA stars working half-assed matches and the announcers putting over some guy named TWEEK like he was Jesus. (As in Christ, not Carlito's bodyguard)

Live, I've seen TCW, and what used to be TCW in Tennessee, and it's not that good. The only good thing about it was that the wrestlers weren't afraid to interact with the fans, and Air Paris nearly spit on me.
