Welcome to May, where the baseballs flow like wine

Scrooge McSuck - May 2, 2005 04:00 PM (GMT)
Welcome to May, when the good teams wake up and the bad teams are exposed for what they really are.

How are the Cincinnati Reds doing, by the way? I don't follow the NL Central outside of watching the occasional Cub game on WGN.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 2, 2005 06:01 PM (GMT)
Reds just got passed by the Brewers, which should tell you something....I think they'll be sliding past Houston within a couple of games

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 4, 2005 02:28 AM (GMT)
y'all wish y'all was the cards right now

17-8!

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 12:29 AM (GMT)

Scrooge McSuck - May 5, 2005 12:30 AM (GMT)
Y'all wish you were the Orioles... uh... 17-8?

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 12:32 AM (GMT)
nope

Scrooge McSuck - May 5, 2005 12:33 AM (GMT)
17-9?

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 12:37 AM (GMT)
you can try again

Scrooge McSuck - May 5, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)
OK, enough with the games... what's their record? 18-8? 18-7? 19-8? 17-10?

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
18-9

Scrooge McSuck - May 5, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
You mean I was wrong 6 times? Damn it, I'm losing my edge.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
you had an edge? :P

The Force is with you, young Choate, but you're not a Jedi yet.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
have you noticed we're the only two who post here?

Scrooge McSuck - May 5, 2005 12:42 AM (GMT)
Slow week? And we need to get more sports fans than wrestling fans.

GET MORE PEOPLE, BITCH!

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 5, 2005 05:00 AM (GMT)
Cardinals are on fire right now, man.

Mad Dog - May 8, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
Reds finally got a win yesterday. Though I've given up on them doing anything this season. They've just been awful the last 2 weeks.

Scrooge McSuck - May 9, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
The Rockies finally win a game on the road, increasing their road record to 2-15 this season.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 11, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
Rolen hurt his shoulder....and the Cards recall their entire Triple-A team in anticipation of more injuries

Mad Dog - May 11, 2005 07:00 PM (GMT)
Classuen took a nasty line drive off the back during the Reds game last night. Shame if he gets hurt since that was the first game he looked really good in. Reds still won though.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 12, 2005 08:49 PM (GMT)
The Cards are really rolling at this point.

eStragand - May 17, 2005 04:18 PM (GMT)
Not that you guys give a damn, but the best record in the NL over the last ten games: Pittsburgh.

Now if Ollie can get over this shoulder problem...

Scrooge McSuck - May 17, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
Go Pittsburgh... hell, go anyone in the NL Central. I don't follow any of those teams religiously, especially since the only one I get regular access to is the Cubs, and they haven't been doing too well lately.

<---Front Runner and damn proud of it.

Scrooge McSuck - June 1, 2005 05:24 AM (GMT)
Wow this topic was dead this month... I guess I'll do one merged one.

Oh yeah... the Cubs suck! Zambrano had a 1 hitter through 8 innings, and they still couldn't get him into the 9th! BOO!
