After about 6 minutes (literally) of horrible commercials, Sunshine Network FINALLY aires Xplosion again. I had the feeling TNA got rid of Xplosion because for the past 4 weeks it hasn't been on either CSS FL or Sunshine.

TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA!

Edit: Just my luck... Xplosion is already in progress thanks to a horrible fucking College baseball game.

Even more my luck.. Tito Ortiz pimping, interview, blah blah blah bling bling bling blah.

FINALLY a match... and it's Michael Shane vs. Chris Sabin on his way home from a visit with Isaac Yankem. Yippy...

Scrooge McSuck - May 14, 2005 02:47 AM (GMT)
Wait... is this some kind of Gauntlet, and if so whats with the rushed entries?

Yup, TNA can't book worth a shit. Tritan? AND Lance Hoyt? Blech, can the suck get any bigger?

ABYSS!!!!!!!!!

Hmm... Abyss, Lance Hoyt, A-1, Apollo...

Yep, Abyss is definitely the worker in this batch of "Talent".

Big F'N Swigg - May 18, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
Why was Hoyt so over with the crowd during the battle royale?

Scrooge McSuck - May 18, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
I hope to god it was canned heat, because I don't see how this guy can be over when he really isn't that good... at anything. at least most bad wrestler can talk, but I don't think I've seen this guy cut a good promo.

Mad Dog - May 20, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
Tonight's show is quite good. The Raven segment is awesome.

Scrooge McSuck - May 20, 2005 04:22 PM (GMT)
Hmm... I hope Xplosion airs... in it's entirety this time, and show's him beating down the Self-Proclaimed Living Legend.

I take it you get the Friday "early morning" edition of Impact. Some weeks they do it here in Pittsburgh and sometimes they just show the replay of last weeks show.

whitemilesdavis - May 20, 2005 04:33 PM (GMT)
Is Raven ever gonna get a run with the title?

Not that I think that's a good idea, but a lot of people seem to want it.

Yeah, it's about a 50/50 chance of getting a new show at about 2 am Friday morning. I recommend it thise week though. Raven makes the show with his rant.

Scrooge McSuck - May 20, 2005 04:41 PM (GMT)
In the beginning of his run in TNA, I wanted Raven to win so badly I actually ordered every PPV from the beginning of February until April 30th. Then you-know-who went over, and since then, I ordered maybe 12-15 PPV's over the course of a year.

Since TNA is free now (or as free as Channel 38 is), I don't mind watching, but push Abyss dammit!

Mad Dog - May 20, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
That was Raven's fault actually. He would've won the belt if he had signed a contract but he refused at first.

Scrooge McSuck - May 20, 2005 04:48 PM (GMT)
... and he came back the very next week and ran in during the rumble match and has been back since.

I honestly don't buy that 100%.

Funny thing is he cut a GREAT promo at Hard Justice that was totally over the top. Plus him vs. X-pac was pretty good. Maybe he's back on the right track again....

whitemilesdavis - May 20, 2005 06:23 PM (GMT)
AKA doing drugs again. He's the one guy who really sucks when he gets clean.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Raven has NEVER gotten totally clean.

TNA has always had that policy. Raven was being paid by appearance at that point, like 90% of the roster, and guys had to be under a written deal to be NWA World Champion.

Big F'N Swigg - May 21, 2005 01:06 AM (GMT)
Is it me or has everyone suddenly forgot that AJ is a multiple time World Champ?

And Scrooge, there is a "Hoyt" section on Impact this week

Big F'N Swigg - May 21, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
I also think their World Title booking is the shits.

Scrooge McSuck - May 21, 2005 02:52 AM (GMT)
I caught most of Xplosion (stupid nap time...), and eh... nothing that good, but it wasn't bad either. My only gripe is why doesn't TNA bring in new teams? I'm fucking tired of Team Canada and even more tired of Americas Most Over-Rated.

Big F'N Swigg - May 22, 2005 03:27 PM (GMT)
I'm surprised they haven't tried for the Briscoe Brother's. I'm also surprised they haven't gone the "WWE route" and slapped two singles stars together.

Scrooge McSuck - May 28, 2005 04:18 AM (GMT)
Here's something werd... TNA booked the two face teams that are going to "split" against each other, and then have Konnan beat up Billy G. with his sneaker.

Edit: This is the first time I saw that Phi Delta Slam team.. and let's just say, I expected something other than two fat guys. I guess Hoyt is the worker of the match.

Edit #2: When the hell did Lance Hoyt get over?!

Edit #3: The Canadian Destroyer is still the most obviously worked move in wrestling history. At least shit like the Pedigree or Rock Bottom have some sort of realism to them, if not much.

Big F'N Swigg - May 29, 2005 12:34 AM (GMT)
WHEN THE FUCK DID THE NATURALS TURN????

Scrooge McSuck - May 29, 2005 01:06 AM (GMT)
Probably by mooching off Candidos death.

Big F'N Swigg - May 29, 2005 04:11 AM (GMT)
It was inevitable, but man was that random. I really think TNA needs to plot out their storylines more clearly

Scrooge McSuck - May 29, 2005 04:24 AM (GMT)
Indeed... when the hell did Lance Hoyt get over? And am I the only one who thinks Lance Hoyt looks a lot like Test (minus the horse teeth)? Also the fact he does nothing but slams and big boots further proves my point.

I will say though, at least he can do a moonsault properly.

Big F'N Swigg - May 30, 2005 07:34 PM (GMT)
I don't think he's bad, but I think the Orlando crowd has weird taste.

I've actually been thinking about what the problem is with running the shows just in Orlando, and I came up with two things: 1) I've never seen a Florida crowd that I liked. For some reason Florida crowds don't do much for me. They don't seem as interested in the wrestling as other areas. This of course leads to my second point: 2) TNA creates their miserable crowds by treating them like children. ECW had a great repeating crowd not just because it was Philly, but because they respected the fans as intelligent people. This is part of how ECW got over. I wish TNA would follow suit instead of having a "heel" Entrance and a "face" entrance.
