Gail Kim did have a couple matches before hand, but only in dark matches and such.

Jerry Lynn won the Light-heavyweight title in his WWE debut (on Heat before Backlash 2001).

Christian def. TAKA Michinoku for the L-HW Title at Judgment Day 1998, his first match.

Mike Awesome won the Hardcore Title before even having a WWF match.

Saturn won the WCW Television title during his first match I believe.
