Title: Worst CD Ever?
Description: I Got Beef with Macho Man

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 25, 2005 05:46 PM (GMT)
I think that Macho Man's rap CD is possibly the worst musical effort of all time (excluding all country). Professor Plague made me listen to that last year and I lost a little bit of my humanity in the process. Does anyone agree, or do you have a CD that you'd like to set fire to?

SamoaRowe - April 25, 2005 06:20 PM (GMT)
I just want to mention that I'm the one who leaked the Macho Man cd over to Plague :D I actually purchased it for 12 bucks when it first came out because I was in the money at the time and needed something to laugh at.

The worst cd I've ever bought though... is probably still the Macho Man cd. Or WWE Originals.

whitemilesdavis - April 25, 2005 06:25 PM (GMT)
Well, being the proud owner of about 1,000 indy CD's...I'd say I've got 200-300 worse than Macho's CD, but yeah that thing is awful.

.......you bastard :ph43r:

Scrooge McSuck - April 25, 2005 06:31 PM (GMT)
Anything with people from American Idol, Macho Mans ©rap album, WWE originals was pathetic, any boy bands, anything from Ashlee Simpson...

Worst CD's that I own though?

1. WWE Originals
2. Michael Jacksons last album (Invincible)... crap!
3. Limp Dick (Results May Vary)
4. More Music From 8 Mile

whitemilesdavis - April 25, 2005 06:33 PM (GMT)
Y'all need to specify major releases, cause I've got some crap that makes that stuff sound like Album of the year.

SamoaRowe - April 25, 2005 06:40 PM (GMT)
I never actually purchased Results May Vary but I heard enough of it to know that it made Limp Bizkit's previous effort made it sound like the album of the century.

Katie Kincaid - April 25, 2005 06:42 PM (GMT)
Our Lady Peace's Gravity. The best songs were the two they released on the radio. Total waste of money

whitemilesdavis - April 25, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
The words OUR LADY PEACE on the cover should have been a give-away B)

I gotta say the very last Living Colour disc. It came out in about 2003. Man did it suck, and I'm a huge Living Colour fan.

EDIT: It's called Collide-o-scope. I had to go look it up. That's how long it's been since I listened to it.

Katie Kincaid - April 25, 2005 06:48 PM (GMT)
lmao Hey, I liked the song "Somewhere out there" and "Not Enough" and that was the last time I bought an album because of the first two singles. lol

Lucky bastard... I wasted $16 on the piece of shit (I still don't know why). It has maybe 2 tolerable songs, and the rest causes brain damage.

I think you were just upset that you realized that they were no longer the cult of personality. B)

William Hung. End of discussion. My brother asked for it for Christmas and got it.

No crap man. That was an awesome track.

Nothing even sniffs Glamour Boys on Collid-o-scope. And Glamour Boys is gayer than a George Micheals fan-fest.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 25, 2005 07:14 PM (GMT)
I think this is because I hate Ja Rule so much, but I would also put every CD he's ever made on my shit list. If he ever does a duet with Macho Man, I'll probably have to kill myself

I know, but it's the only reference I could get off the top of my head.

Vernon Reid is badass on the gee-tar too.

prof_plague - April 25, 2005 07:47 PM (GMT)
WWF - WrestleMania: The Album.

A present from SamoaRowe. I lies next to my other presents from him: Glitter. It also lies next to another present: You Got Served.

Scrooge McSuck - April 25, 2005 07:51 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't call those "presents". More like torture devices.

Oh yeah, he can still smoke, there's just no good songs. I went and saw them live last December, and they were still one of the best live bands I've ever seen.

"Build a Bridge" is the only song from that cd I'll admit to liking, and that's probably only because it was the Survivor Series theme that year too. It's not a great song or anything, but by Limp Bizkit standards it's a **** song.

whitemilesdavis - April 25, 2005 08:54 PM (GMT)
BY Limp Bizkit standards, "Little bit Country" by Donnie and Marie Osmond is a **** song.

Scrooge McSuck - April 25, 2005 08:59 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't call it a horrible CD, but Eminem's "Encore" was very disapointing.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 25, 2005 09:01 PM (GMT)
eminem has progressively gotten worse since marshall mathers LP, to the point where it's hard to take him serious when he starts picking fights with vanilla ice

Agreed. I thought The Eminem Show was good enough but Encore is just shit in my eyes. Fortunately, The Marshall Mathers LP has aged well.

Scrooge McSuck - April 25, 2005 09:31 PM (GMT)
I enjoyed the Eminem Show quite a bit (almost all of the tracks are enjoyable), but Encore had maybe 5 or 6 (even the 3 song bonus CD sucked).

it definitely does, though for whatever reason i like the slim shady LP better, despite the quality of beats

As crazy as this sounds, I haven't given the Slim Shady LP a real listen to since it was first out my 8th grade year. I remember thinking it was funny, but at the same time I felt very dirty for listening to it :P

I have about 5 Christian pop albums from the early nineties that smokes ANYTHING you guys have.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 26, 2005 03:28 AM (GMT)

It depends, which Christian rappers are we talking about. There are some who would surprise you.

Of course, if it's from Grapetree records, you win hands down.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 26, 2005 11:35 PM (GMT)
I'll have to check which ones they are. To be honest, the only thing that sticks in my head is the rhyming of "Thesis" and "Jesus"

I do have a few tracks from one group that's really good, but I don't remember their name, either

I'm doing well today

Big F'N Swigg - April 26, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
There are some select good ones, like Dirt, LA Symphony, Tunnel Rats, etc.

But there are some HORRIBLE ones too

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 26, 2005 11:40 PM (GMT)
I've heard and like Tunnel Rats, but they're not overbearing

The only things I can dig on the Christian rap scene is Grits and John Reuben.

And yes DK, it appears Living Colour is still planning on touring a couple months out of the year.
