Announced 7/18 Card by RD - 24 Apr 2005 - [Comments (3)]
One massive match has been announced so far for NOAH's July 18th Tokyo Dome show. Two of the mast famous symbols of strength in pro wrestling, Kenta Kobashi & Kensuke Sasaki, will battle it out in a first time ever meeting. Secondly, Mitsuharu Misawa & Toshiaki Kawada will meet in either singles or tag action at the Dome!

NOAH "DESTINY", 7/18/05
Tokyo Dome

1. Kenta Kobashi vs. Kensuke Sasaki

Well for Japanese wrestling fans this is huge news. If they can pull off having a Kobashi/Sasaki match and a Misawa/Kawada match all in the same show.......they are going to sell this fucker out! I'm really psyched about this and this will hands down be the best show of the summer if they are pulling out all the stops.

THIS IS FUCKING SWEET!

Even for a baby Puro fan like myself...that looks incredible.

Misawa/Kawada will probably be a disaster inring but this card is huge if NOAH could pull it off.

Why will Misawa / Kawada be a disaster?

Mad Dog - April 25, 2005 01:22 PM (GMT)
Misawa is old and very regressed as a worker. He's basically living off of his name alone at this point. Kawada tends to get lazy in the ring and his matches turn into kickfests.

MD, you nuts though if you don't this one will be any good. You have to follow the fact on this one for it to make sense.

1) They won't be lazy or dog it in the ring if it's in the Tokyo Dome at NOAH's biggest event of the year.

2)Both guys have been personal rivals for years. They will both be trying to top each other.....

From the littel bit I've seen, I couldn't imagine Kawada / Misawa being anything short of great...even if they had no legs.

They could pull something decent out. But I think we're talking a ***1/2 cap on it.

***1/2 cap? Not on this one, as I think many will be surprised by Kawada working his ass off in this one.

I just think Misawa is limited now.

Now that I'm not denying. I just think that if there is anything that would make Misawa put his work boots on it would be for a singles match against either Kawada/Kobashi/Muta.

Mitsuharu Misawa will take on Toshiaki Kawada in a match that needs no introduction. It has been confirmed today that the two will meet in a singles match, resuming their over decade long feud. Kawada was an intricate part to the NOAH-All Japan split, being the only native wrestler apart from Masanobu Fuchi not to defect to NOAH; can he channel his anger towards Misawa into a singles victory?

Well........welcome to my Wrestlemania people!
