Title: Da MSG TV Discussion:
Description: April 18th-April 24th:
Scrooge McSuck - April 18, 2005 02:12 AM (GMT)
This week, WWE returns to MSG for the first RAW and SD TV Taping since June 23rd and 24th of 2003, where Kane unmasked, Hogan and Piper made their final WWE wrestling appearences, and Ultimo Dragon made his long awaited debut.
The only match scheduled for RAW is..., blech, Triple H vs. Jim Ross. Hopefully something good happens, since WWE's last visit to MSG for RAW was very disapointing. I have no idea if Velocity and Heat are being taped this week (I think it's one of those Super Shows), so I expect them to be recap shows again.
Oh yeah... Hogan better be on RAW tomorrow night. He just has to be!
dynamite kido - April 18, 2005 02:57 PM (GMT)
There is word out that apparently OVW is sending the team of The Heartbreakers to the Raw/SD Supershow this Monday as well......
For whatever that is worth.....
whitemilesdavis - April 18, 2005 03:01 PM (GMT)
I expect this to be JR's breakout week. He should be able to drag HHH to at least ***.
Yeah right.
I like the influx of new tag teams though.
Scrooge McSuck - April 18, 2005 04:13 PM (GMT)
Who are the Heartbreakers, and will they keep that name since Shawn Michaels nickname is still the Heartbreak Kid (despite being 40 years old)?
whitemilesdavis - April 18, 2005 05:29 PM (GMT)
So is this going to be Raw and Smackdown on the same show, or are they just both filming in MSG?

Oh boy more green vanilla wrestlers on the show.
Scrooge McSuck - April 18, 2005 06:13 PM (GMT)
RAW is being aired live, and Smackdown is being taped directly afterwards, like the San Jose show the week they went to Japan (they are going on a tour of Europe in a few days).
Scrooge McSuck - April 18, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
- The Calgary Sun reported Saturday that WWE sources have said Hulk Hogan will be appearing on Raw Monday night from Madison Square Garden, and this report was confirmed by Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com, Dave Scherer at PWInsider.com and Joey Styles at 1wrestling.com. This will be Hogan's first TV appearance on a wrestling show since he appeared at MSG as Mr. America in 2003.
whitemilesdavis - April 18, 2005 06:25 PM (GMT)
I may have to skip it. I just can't deal with more nostalgia-mania.

 The WWE seems to be doing that a lot lately. Either they never do enough, or at all, or all at once.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 02:00 AM (GMT)
Michaels/Hassan was the worst fucking match that I've seen in a long time. Retard booking to as Hassan can't even get a win.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
This company is so fucking clueless anymore. They don't know how to do anything right. I love Hogan and all but this is fucking 2005. Remember when the WWF was trying to make fun of WCW for using him to sell PPVs in 95?
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 02:32 AM (GMT)
Hogan was the ONLY Good part of RAW Tonight. The Master Lock Challenge... wow, that was terrible. Benjamin squashes Simon Dean, Jericho cuts a horrible musical promo, a stupid non-finish to Benoit/Edge, VISCERA beating down Kane, Jim Ross wrestles... in the Main Event...
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 02:41 AM (GMT)
VINCE MCMAHON~! makes an appearence, walking perfectly fine, and announces another draft next month.
Also, Batista vs. Christian in England for RAW next week.
Also Part II: The crowd was pro-Christian, and boo'ed the name dropping of John Cena, and the Diva Search.

Smart crowd. Well, at least fort he Diva Search part.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 02:48 AM (GMT)
Wow......
WAY TO FUCKING BURY THE ENTIRE ROSTER IN 2 MINUTES.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 02:49 AM (GMT)
I turned off the bastard... what did he say this time? (by he I mean HHH, for those who didn't watch)
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 02:50 AM (GMT)
Masterlock Challenge:
OHHHHHH $1000!!!!! THAT IS SO FUCKING MUCH MONEY!!!! I ONLY MAKE THAT OFF OF 3 DAYS WORK FUCKERS. IT'S FUCKING 2005 NOT 1985.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
It was a video package of Triple H giving a Pedigree to basically every upper mid-card and mid-card guy on the roster.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 02:54 AM (GMT)
The crowd doesn't give a shit... thank God.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
How cute that this is going to get over 5 minutes.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 02:59 AM (GMT)
I love how Kane doesn't get a match and gets beat down by VISCERA, so Jim Ross can get beat up for 10 minutes.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 03:06 AM (GMT)
I really hope he just shattered Triple H's skull with that chairshot. There are mid-carders that can't even get 5 minutes a week yet Triple H gets over 10 to fucking beat up the announcers.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 03:08 AM (GMT)
Jim Ross pinned Triple H...:lol::lol::lol:
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 03:13 AM (GMT)
I swear this company wants us to hate them. That's the first Raw I sat down to watch live and let's just say I'm never watching Raw without fastforward ever again.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 03:23 AM (GMT)
WWE continues feeding MSG shit since Wrestlemania XX. Let's see...
- Non-Finish for Chris Benoit/Edge
- Viscera, who is a PPA wrestler, squashes Kane after Trish cuts a promo on Lita, who responds with D-level acting ability.
- Regal & Tajiri beat the new team clean (the heart Throbs), in a decent match.
- Hassan get's DQ'ed right after nailing his finisher in a horribly boring match, leading to the same Hogan save from WM, except for HBK. (marked out)
- Masters offers a whopping $1,000 on a Full Nelson Challenge. YAY...
- Chris Jericho cut a horrible musical promo, which appeared to be written on his hand.
- Shelton Benjamin pretty much squashed Simon Dean
- Christian is over... and Vince announces another Draft.
- Jim Ross pins Triple H after 10 minutes of garbage, thanks to Batista.
Ahem... WRESTLECRAP RAW!
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
I can't believe that Viscera is actually getting a push.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2005 03:44 AM (GMT)
It's not bad enough he's getting pushed, but he squashed you-know-who in easy fassion.
<-------
prof_plague - April 19, 2005 04:23 AM (GMT)
That was a bad and unnecessary blade job.
dynamite kido - April 19, 2005 06:21 AM (GMT)
RAW was seriously the biggest pile of dogshit I've seen for sometime. I can't believe how unbelievably stupid you could be to book that shit tonight. Viscera getting a push, Trips continued burial of the roster, and all the other boring nonsense really pissed me off tonight. I honestly couldn't believe that they would give MSG such a shitty show. If they keep up the treatment of NY I can see them killing off their own territory. This show was just plain godawful......
jamiegeist - April 19, 2005 06:22 AM (GMT)
I cant even remark on this show. Fuckin weak. If the NYC crowd weren't awesome "smart" the whole night, I don't think I would've finished the show.
Mad Dog - April 19, 2005 06:35 AM (GMT)
Jamie,
Repost the spoilers in a spoiler thread please. I'm going to go ahead and delete that post.

I swear, the crowd did it for me. If it weren't for their "You Screwed Matt" chants, I might not have had any fun last night. Ok, I enjoyed the Jericho promo, and the Heart-Throbs.
But everything else sucked
dynamite kido - April 20, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)
I thought that the Heart-Throbs were fucking terrible.....
Scrooge McSuck - April 20, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
I thought they were Too Much, then realized neither guy sucked as much as Brian Christopher.
Big F'N Swigg - April 20, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
You see, I liked their stupid dancing. I think they're a little too gay, though. If you play the "Roxbury" angle I think it could work well
dynamite kido - April 20, 2005 03:41 AM (GMT)
Well, my main problem with them is that in their first match they weren't even protected. I've read/heard about how they were more gimmick than in ring, and on their debut they fight in a match that was WAY too long for their debut.
Big F'N Swigg - April 21, 2005 12:46 AM (GMT)
This seems to be common with WWE though. Instead of hiding weaknesses, they expose them
whitemilesdavis - April 21, 2005 08:55 PM (GMT)
I missed these guys, but I really don't need another gay gimmick...ambiguous or otherwise. What is it with WWE and homo gimmicks?
