My dad is convinced U2 is the best ever. I think they're good, but not OMG BEST EVAR! What do you guys think?

Well I like them, but I guess I haven't heard enough to "Get" them really. I have Joshua Tree and the one with Mysterious Ways... They're good, but I dunno... ::shrug::

Part of what makes U2 so good is their growth as people shine through. If you check out their earlier stuff, you get a lot of youthful energy and innocence, War is the beginning of their "maturity" and their recent stuff is just good rock. I really do like them more than I want to admit.

Their not bad, but their new stuff is just awful. WAR is a wonderful album that I don't think they will ever top.......I do like Joshua Tree and even some Rattle and Hum, but besides those I'm not the biggest fan.

I find their music to be hit or miss. Either a song will be pretty good, or so pussificationally bad that I want to stab myself in the ears with scissors.

As far as rock bands go, I would have to say U2 is the best ever. I just think they've made better songs for a longer period of time than anyone else. I think this new disc is great, in the top four that they've done.

I'n Ireland we're not allowed have bad opinion of U2, so I can't really be honest. I'm only a fan of some of their stuff. They went experimental for a while and I turned off, but I'm digging the new album

Yes. And I love me some U2. Everything they've done except for those crappy mid-90s albums. Everything else is awesome, and my uncle Pat McGarvey will personally skull fuck anyone who says otherwise.
