I had one today on my day off. Used Liriano in MLB '06: The Show and kept running a changeup in which they had no chance on, then finished most of them off with his nasty slider. 19 K's, 0 hits.

I would've liked MLB '06: The Show had it not kept locking up while it was changing menus. Took it back the same day and got another used game. Never got a chance to play a game.

I've had no problems with my copy whatsoever. It's no MVP, but it's the best replace I've found to the MVP series. I fucking hate the 2K games with a passion.

Maybe I had a bad used copy or something.
Real F'n Show - August 8, 2006 11:56 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm fairly reluctant to buy used games anymore. I once bought the game Devil May Cry used 2-3 years ago, and the game wouldn't even work on my PS2. It kept saying "Disc Read Error" or some shit, so I took it back, and the guy wanted me to show him what the problem was before he gave me my money back (which was bullshit, because I had my receipt). So anyway, he pops it in and it starts right up. I eventually got him to give me "store credit" and thankfully the copy of Red Faction I got in return worked fine.

I just noticed one major difference from ESPN and MVP... I've already pitched like 5 perfect games on MVP, and ESPN still puts up a challenge. After the 2nd, I just went "meh."

Hey Show, does MLB '06: The Show have any unlockables, like retro jerseys?
Real F'n Show - August 10, 2006 12:36 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it does. I haven't really had a chance to play anything other than Season mode yet, but I've seen loading screens advertising classic players and fields, etc. I'm sure there's retro jerseys, just not as many as the massive selection MVP had.
