Dark match Mark Jindrak pinned Frankie Kazarian
Velocity Booker T pinned Spike Dudley Akio pinned Funaki Heidenreich pinned Sean Evans Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas beat Bashams via DQ when Bashams used a chair on Holly
Smackdown JBL came out and wanted a rematch with Cena.Eddie Guerrero,Booker T,Big Show,Rey Misterio & Kurt Angle all came out and wanted title matches.Angle had a great line saying he was arrested after Mania for armed robbery because he stole the show.Teddy Long came out and said that JBL forgot to put a rematch clause in his contract and ordered a no.1 contender series with the first match tonight being Rey vs. JBL
Paul London retained cruiserweight title over Billy Kidman London bled a good amount during the match. After the pin Chavo Guerrero, who was on commentary, and Kidman laid out London
Luther Reigns was in the back making fun of Show for losing to Akebono and Show challenged him to a match Big Show pinned Reigns after a choke slam.
John Cena came out and talked about his title win.It was definitely a "beginning of a new era" type of speech and he celebrated in the crowd.During the celebration security knocked over a little kid who ended up getting a front row seat because of it.
Angle Invitational saw Angle make a Latin jobber tap out.His name was Jose something. Before the match Angle said he would be facing Guerrero next week in the next match of the no. 1 contender series
Carlito was interviewed backstage and said he interrupted piper's pit because it was boring watching a guy in a skirt and a bald guy in daisy dukes. He said next week he would start his own show called Carlito's Cabana
Rey & Eddie talked backstage and Guerrero said he didn't think Rey could beat JBL on his own and Rey said for Eddie to stay away
Next up was a bikini contest with Torrie Wilson,Dawn Marie & Miss Jackie.Joy Giovanni,Lauren Jones & Michelle McCool came out and wanted to take part.Torrie was declared the winner although I think Joy got a slightly better reaction.
JBL beat Rey via DQ match was good and had great heat.Orlando Jordan interfered which led to Eddie coming down and he was attacked by JBL.Rey made a comeback and had JBL pinned when Eddie threw Rey off and started attacking JBL for the dq.Bashams ran in followed by Cena to clean house. |
Ugh...... I was actually going to consider watching but this sounds like quite possibly the most boring show ever.

Pass... how does Kidman keep getting SD matches (and even CW Title shots) despite being horribly boring and possibly the worst CW on Smackdown (thats a REAL CW... not counting Spike Didley).
dynamite kido - April 6, 2005 02:23 PM (GMT)
WOW, they do Rey/JBL NOW........Why the fuck didn't they do that when JBL had the fucking title?
Mad Dog - April 6, 2005 02:23 PM (GMT)
Because when you've gotten so sloppy that you're almost killing people with your finisher it's time for a push in WWF land.

Silly. Mystery only gets matches with JBL when he needs to be built up with squash matches.
You see Mysterio isn't 6'5 and not a candidate for the master race so therefore WWF fans obviously don't care about him.
Scrooge McSuck - April 6, 2005 02:25 PM (GMT)
Good point... look at the former WWE Champion. He's nearly causes a riot by goose stepping and giving the nazi salute in a german house show, then wins the title 3 weeks later after being fired by NBC or FOX or whoever for his acts.
prof_plague - April 6, 2005 03:28 PM (GMT)
It just sounds like a standard show. Not necessarily going to be boring...may be segments will make up for it. ...Like Carlito. :)
But if they're going to name it Carlito's Cabana, I demand a feud with Colt Cabana with LOTS of mic time! :smiles gleefully as if that ever stood a chance of ever happening:
dynamite kido - April 6, 2005 03:54 PM (GMT)
I've always been surprised by the lack of interest by the WWE of Colt.
Mad Dog - April 6, 2005 03:56 PM (GMT)
Probably their typical BS reasons for not signing good indy talent. Like he's too vanilla, too stiff, too small or he ties his shoes the wrong way. They only seem to sign bodybuilders with little experience these days.

fixed

Good one.
I'm surprised that they've never tried to sign Bob Sapp. He seems to be the type of big guy they love except for the fact he's black. I think I just answered my own question there.
dynamite kido - April 6, 2005 04:05 PM (GMT)
Well, they would have to give Sapp HUGE money to come in, so that's probably the most logical reason why. Otherwise.....I'm with you on that one MD.

Fixed again.

Knowing us....we could probably keep this up all month long.

Why was he stripped of the IWGP title?
Mad Dog - April 6, 2005 04:36 PM (GMT)
He sustained injuries in a shoot fight.

...and Punk...and Daniels...and Danielson...
They even had Daniels in development and he's even wrestled as a jobber for them.
Wait...they're all "CW"s, so there is no way to ever use them.

I would go further and say a couple of years.
Mad Dog - April 6, 2005 04:44 PM (GMT)
He vacated on 6/2/04, the kayfabe reason was he refused to face the next challenger.
Fujita beat Tanahashi to get the IWGP Title shortly after.
dynamite kido - April 6, 2005 04:47 PM (GMT)
Sorry, I WAS wrong about Fujita beating Sapp for it. I actually looked it up.....here's what I found

I wouldn't call them cruiserweights. They're more like Middleweights, really. I'd say the best they'd ever get would be a midcard title if they ever got signed. I'd also throw Kidman in there, too. He's almost too big to be CW. But so was Matt Hardy, so nevermind.
Also, I seem to remember hearing about them being against new guys with tattoos after Batista, Orton and Tomko debuted. Ironic.
