Post Mania goodness this week.
Will Triple H finally step back and let someone else be the focus on Raw?
Mad Dog - April 4, 2005 10:17 AM (GMT)
I expect for it to be a really bad sign if we open Raw with a Triple H promo.
I would like to see him come out and for Batista to attack him and then Triple H sell an injury for a couple of months. Then trade JBL over to Raw for Batista to destroy at Backlash. I think Batista just needs to destroy all of his challengers in under 12 minutes until Summerslam.
Real F'n Show - April 5, 2005 12:44 AM (GMT)
Matches announced for Raw:
Trish vs. Christy in a WM rematch for the Women's Title
Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Jericho vs. Christian for the IC Title
The latter could be very good.
Scrooge McSuck - April 5, 2005 12:52 AM (GMT)
The former could be the newest match to be described worse than The Undertaker vs. Giant Gonzalez. WHY THE FUCK ARE THEY USING THIS FUCKING BITCH AS A GOD DAMN WRESTLER?!?!?

BECAUSE VINCE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO PAY HER OUT THE ASS.

There's no need to shout. :D
Scrooge McSuck - April 5, 2005 01:57 AM (GMT)
Getting to see Hogan from WM on RAW was awesome. :)
Mad Dog - April 5, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
Also, don't think about all those people like Rico who got fired last year so they could pay her so much money.
Mad Dog - April 5, 2005 03:10 AM (GMT)
Good to see it's still the HHH show.
Real F'n Show - April 5, 2005 10:04 PM (GMT)
Raw was great last night. The opener was very fun and I dug the the superplex/powerbomb spot, although I've seen it in TNA so many times. Hot ending too, and Shelton is quickly becoming the third best thing on Raw, behind Trish and Benoit.
Speaking of Benoit, his match with Edge was a complete clinic on psychology from the MASTER. Seriously, I haven't seen that much psychology in a WWE ring since, who knows. Props to Edge for the great armwork, and to JR for correctly calling a keylock. Benoit's selling of the arm is fucking fantastic in this. If I was rating it, it'd be an easy ****.
dynamite kido - April 5, 2005 10:22 PM (GMT)
I agree RFS, Edge/Benoit last night was a pretty damn good match. Also, I like the fact that Edge won the money in the bank match.....because now he can do jobs and it doesn't retard his push. Plus, the end of the match was pretty fucking sweet as well.
By the way......Benoit is the fucking company MVP especially for the last few weeks. If the WWE was smart....they'd have Shelton ready for that big gold belt come Summerslam too.

Everyone in WWE can learn from Benoit on how to fucking sell an injury even when doing your big spots.

There's a LOT of things that the whole roster could learn from Benoit.

It's a start at least.

Well, Cena just cut a great promo. Probably his best. I really hope he doesn't really screw up the belt though.
jamiegeist - April 8, 2005 05:58 PM (GMT)
That JBL-Mysterio match came off incredibly good to me. I wasn't expecting Bradshaw to work with the headscissors and shit as well as he did. Good finish too, as far as lame DQ finishes go. At least this one meant something.
I don't know about these matches to find a person to wrestle Cena. I really want Rey to get a real push. Maybe vs. OJ.
whitemilesdavis - April 8, 2005 06:03 PM (GMT)
Loved the match, but I thought Eddie kind of botched the ending. He waited a few minutes instead of just chargeing the ring after Bradshaw, so the "fit of rage" thing seemed kind of odd. But, it does set up a Rey vs. Eddie feud which has to be good, and I like Eddie better as a heel anyway.
dynamite kido - April 8, 2005 06:15 PM (GMT)
I actually really like the JBL/Rey match myself. The end was shitty, but at least it progressed the Eddie/Rey storyline a bit.
Mad Dog - April 8, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
I really liked their feud from WCW. One of my favorite parts was when Guerrero cost Mysterio a match by stealing his mask.
Scrooge McSuck - April 8, 2005 06:30 PM (GMT)
Useless trivia: I think it was a match vs. Dean Malenko

I'm guessing they're signing all the luchadores (Psicosis, Super Crazy) for the Eddie/Rey feud. Heel Eddie is always the best Eddie anyway. Could be a fun feud.
