Have at it.

Mad Dog - March 29, 2005 11:18 AM (GMT)
I like how HBK can't put anyone over these days. What's the point of a DQ ending to teh Hassan match when HBK cut him off at the knees after all was said and done anyway. Might as well let HBK pin him.

whitemilesdavis - March 29, 2005 12:56 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the ending to that match was terrible, and I really thought Hassan handled himself well up to that point. Like you said, the DQ didn't even matter because HBK kicked everyone's butt when it was all said and done. That being said....

I HATED Raw. The last 10 minutes were the only good part, and I'm surprised how good WWE is building this. Now I'm almost sure Batista is losing at Mania, 'cause HHH has to screw this up some time.

Real F'n Show - March 29, 2005 06:40 PM (GMT)
I missed Raw, but judging from reports, I didn't miss much. How did you guys like the opener?

whitemilesdavis - March 29, 2005 06:42 PM (GMT)
Completely forgettable. They've just burned us out on that combination of guys.

SamoaRowe - March 29, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)
I think it was just a mistake booking HBK against Hassan in the first place last night. They are two guys who shouldn't have been jobbing this week. HBK has a high profile WrestleMania match this Sunday so he shouldn't have lost while Hassan's current angle is that he has not been pinned or made to submit. A disqualification was really the best way to go about ending the match last night (even though the sweet chin music on Hassan after the match was not necessary).

whitemilesdavis - March 29, 2005 07:04 PM (GMT)
Hassan should have gone over with extreme help from Daivari. It would have solidified Hassan, and couldn't hurt HBK. Maybe then you could have a built in angle for after Mania.

Mad Dog - March 29, 2005 07:08 PM (GMT)
At this point in his career HBK shouldn't be going over every young guy on the roster. It's just silly at this point. At least Hogan was screwing over established guys in his day and not cutting off the new talent a few months into their run.

I bet HBK would've beaten Goldberg in WCW to end the streak had he been there.

whitemilesdavis - March 29, 2005 07:12 PM (GMT)
Instead that honor went to fellow Klik'er Kevin Nash.

dynamite kido - March 29, 2005 10:01 PM (GMT)
Well the bottom line is that there is no way they are going to make HBK put over ANYONE until at least after Mania. Considering that HBK/Angle is the most strongly built program (Besides Bautista/HHH) then they are going to do whatever it takes to make both of them come into the match strong. Plus, if they are building Hassan....he shouldn't be anywhere near HBK right now.

RAW was a pile of dog shit this week. They throw everyone who's a capable worker in one match, have a 3 minute tag title match, and then a bunch of forgetable garbage.

Well.....I pretty much agree with this. I know that the show was mainly for Mania build.....but it was still fucking terrible.

Trish vs. Redhead Bimbo... ORDER WRESTLEMANIA FOR ONLY $49.95!

I sometimes wonder what the hell the creative team is thinking and/or smoking to come up with this garbage... for Wrestle-fucking-mania!

SamoaRowe - March 30, 2005 11:48 PM (GMT)
It's really 49.95 again this year? It was passable last year since it was WrestleMania XX and five hours... but damn, I think Vince is going to have a fucking heart attack when he sees how low WrestleMania's buyrate is this year.

Scrooge McSuck - March 30, 2005 11:57 PM (GMT)
They haven't announced the price yet, and I can't find it anywhere... either they are waiting to spring it on everyone, or WWE is that disorganized.

Safe bet is that it will be $44.95 or higher.

Since another board I usually use has immature people as Mods, I'll do live updates for Smackdown!.

Jerry Lawler is filling in for Tazz, completely shattered the seperate brands rule. Why not put Josh Mathews instead?

Eddie vs. Basham #1: Match barely goes three minutes, and features the "I didn't mean to cost you the match" finish when Rey Jr. comes out.

Scrooge McSuck - April 1, 2005 01:17 AM (GMT)
Chavo is eliminated first, which means we'll have a new Cruiserweight Champion.

As I type that, Nunzio dumps Funaki in a leverage manuever.

Kidman throws Nunzio out in a head scissors attempt being blocked.

Spike Dudleys 100 lb. body elimianted after a WORM and superkick from Scotty 2 Hotty.

Akio dropkicks Scotty off the apron to eliminate him.

Double drop-sault gives London a breather. Soon after, heel iscommunication leada to Akio being eliminated.

Paul London winsd the CW Title by eliminating Kidman with the skin the cat head scissors.

Real F'n Show - April 1, 2005 02:01 AM (GMT)
I love that second rope stomp to the back that London uses. Where'd he get that from? I saw Rocky Romero using it in ROH recently too, but I think London started using it first.

Scrooge McSuck - April 1, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
Londons been using it for the 3 years I've seen him wrestling, so I'm guessing he made it popular.

That threw me off. I heard Lawler's voice and didn't think anything of it at first, but then I remembered I was watching SmackDown.

Big F'N Swigg - April 1, 2005 02:59 AM (GMT)
I must say that Kidman sucks ass.

And I'm hoping they switch Lawler and Tazz after Wrestlemania.

Other than the Battle Royal, I've really enjoyed this Smackdown so far

prof_plague - April 1, 2005 03:03 AM (GMT)
I thought Big Show and Akebono were supposed to wrestle in a "WWE Style" wrestling match tonight. Why did he wrestle Eddie Vegas? Granted, I know Big Show vs. Akebono wouldn't be a terrific match, but I guess I missed why they didn't. ...I think that Akebono match was actually much worse though. Mostly because he only pushed the guy and then half-slammed him in the corner. And the poor guy had to see it this entire time.

I agree. Figures they'd keep the worst cruiserweight from WCW around the longest.

I never thought I'd say this, but I actually think Cole reigns in Lawler a little better than JR does. And I HATE Cole.

Scrooge McSuck - April 1, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
Just get rid of Lawler period. He gets the worst out of J.R. (even J.R./Coach is entertaining), has no idea how to act serious on commentary, and sounds like an 11 year old who saw his first tit.

Scrooge McSuck - April 3, 2005 05:14 AM (GMT)
As much as it pains me to say it, I almost cried for Hogans induction... ALMOST. (wipes tears away) God damn I miss being a mark.
