Title: Who is the Future of Wrestling?
Description: There'd be too many choices for a poll.
The Last Free Voice - December 11, 2004 02:35 PM (GMT)
There'd be far too many choices for me to make this a poll, so who IYO is the future of The Wrestling Biz. I have to go with CM Punk, for one. He is the complete package. Also gotta go with Jack Evans as the future of high fliers...
So... GO~!

All of Gen Next deserve to be mentioned. Also B-Boy, Matt Sydal, possibly Arik Cannon. For WWE, I'd go with Paul London and Shelton Benjamin if I didn't already know that Triple H will be around for 15 more years at least...

They have a great talent in Paul London (who will sell anything) and they continue to treat him like garbage. At least he beat Akio last week :D

That's easy: Triple H is the future of wrestling.

Has Akio ever won a match in the WWE?

The future should be Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Paul London, Akio, and Carlito.
The future will be Triple H and the Undertaker.

I would normally say Kurt Angle right here but since hes gone into career protection mode like the Undertaker has, hes off my list.
Shelton Benjamin and Batista right now are looking promising. Shelton because of his incredible ring skills that have gotten better and better and Batista for his raw power, great look and ferocity in and out of the ring.
John Cena should be in there too but I think they missed the train with him when he was still a heel and did not pander to the audience. The guy was just raw on the mic, probably still one of the best talkers they have.

I LOVE Jack, but he's not the future of the business. If he can still walk at 30, he'll be lucky.

I hope Haas and Benjamin go a lony way in the WWE. They have a great opportunity to innovate what wrestling is seen as currently. I also hope to see some of the young wrestlers in RoH and JAPW to one day make an appearance in the WWE.

Going by hints recently, I think WWE is pushing for Shelton Benjamin to become a big star in the future. Not a super push, but slow and steady to get him over.
Charlie Haas has a clouded future. WWE is treating him too much like a Jobber right now (rarely wrestles on SD and pulls Velocity duty a lot), but isn't being completely jobbed out.

You think correctly....

Yeah, it was on the January 15th Velocity. I reviewed the show and over-rated the match.
