Real F'n Show - March 1, 2005 12:58 AM (GMT)
Raw could be decent with Benoit vs. Hassan and HBK vs. Edge in a Street Fight already signed.
Scrooge McSuck - March 1, 2005 01:16 AM (GMT)
If Hassan beats Benoit in any way, shape or form, I'm gonna be really fucking pissed off.
Edge v. HBK? Whoopy... that Rumble victory sure did help Edge didn't it?
Scrooge McSuck - March 1, 2005 04:21 AM (GMT)
Hogan is in the Hall of Fame... I officially have spooged myself. When "Real American" blasted out of nowhere... (wipes shorts clean)
Raw sucked otherwise.
dynamite kido - March 1, 2005 05:13 AM (GMT)
I must admit, I did mark out like a 8 year old at the Hogan annoucement too. Hell, if he's not wrestling on a regular basis anywhere......I actually don't mind the guy. I loved him as a kid, so it's purely nostalgia but WTF......
jamiegeist - March 1, 2005 09:15 AM (GMT)
Goddamit.
Why can't Edge win a match. Was the blowoff here really a necesarry HBK clean win? Angle could've interfered 2 seconds earlier (it WAS no dq after all) and helped Edge get the pin. Cause at least that is something! I think he is doing a great job getting his character over, bring the goods in the ring. I just don't get it.
Michaels blade job....christ. The minute he rolled outside and I saw it rushing, I knew we were in for a treat. That was sickening. And this is exactly why they got rid of the hardcore title and all that crap. That match was a ton of fun, even though it was just a garbage match. It'd been so long since I'd seen something like that.
I don't like Orton's thing with Taker. I like the idea of a match...but I like him turning outright heel because of a trade or something. I dunno. I just don't like this so far.
Trish is the best heel on Raw, hands down. Why can't they do something this simple, yet heated between 2 of the male wrestlers with a real feud.
Benjamin's fighting champ thing could be good, as long as there are no more Snitsky matches. Fuckin A. Who did I piss off to get Snitsky for the title 3 weeks in a row.
I am fully confident that the Hassan-Benoit match was aborted and that Hassan might be fucked. He blew that spot (which I think was gonna be the finish). Benoit's sloppy kickout at 1 and 3/4 along with the ref WAY overcommunicating says they changed it. Therefore, I think Hassan was set to go over. Which is lame. Thank god he fucked up his own push.
Jericho's 6 man challenge? 6 man ladder match? If Benjamin isn't involved, what the hell will it be for? Sounds like a clusterfuck anyway. I wanted Benoit/Jericho v Eddie/Rey to unify the straps.
I guess I read that the guy Masters squashed is an ROH champ or something? People need to stop crying. The guy went on (to get more exposure in 30 seconds than he has in probably 5 years in ROH) and knew what he was getting into (probably got more money as well) so I think people need to calm down about their champ getting squashed. It happens.
So, those are my RAW thoughts. Anyone else?
Oh yeah. Batista v Flair next week, in North Carolina?!?! Are they FUCKING STUPID?! They might lose everything they have with Batista next week if that match goes on as planned. Batista (or anyone that faces Flair) will get booed the fuck out of the place.
Big F'N Swigg - March 1, 2005 03:11 PM (GMT)
Who did Masters squash? Was it Walters?
Scrooge McSuck - March 1, 2005 04:22 PM (GMT)
What happend with Benoit/Hassan Chop? I wasn't paying attention because I was cursing out WWE for Benoits depush.

Personally I was thinking the same thing. Now, let me make it clear I'm not Edge's biggest fan in the world or anything, but he DID get fucked when it comes to being in the World title picture too. Also, during the Edge promo before the match he should have noted that not has he defeated HBK......but he defeated Angle as well. Personally, I would have enjoyed Angle coming out and beating the hell out of HBK and Edge as he IS a SD guy and should hate the entire RAW roster. At least in this sense......

I would agree 100% here. HBK is great at the face simpathy and they decided to pull that card out here and it worked great.

Well, I really don't know what to say about this match. If they had Orton go over at Mania then I can see the point of it. But if it's just another match to keep Taker's undefeated streak going at Mania.....then it's totally fucking pointless.

Well, Trish has worked hard at developing her character. But call me a snob or whatever you will........but I watch Joshi now and again, and after watch that......these women aren't worth looking at unless it's for strickly T&A reasons.....and that novelty wore off years ago.
| QUOTE |

Well, I agree that the matches are bad.....but at least they are making Shelton look more believable through their series of matches. Believe it or not, this series of matches did more for Shelton's image than all thos HHH matches that they did on RAW after they had guys switch brands.

Personally I think you may just be reading too far into this, but in all fairness I should watch this again as I was doing like three things at once while it was on. I have it on DVR so I should check it out again this week.

Could be good, but mainly it sounds like shit. Personally I wanted to see Benoit/Jericho in a match at mania and same with Eddie/Rey. Too bad we probably won't see either......

Basically I think this is bullshit, but it IS ROH's fault. Especially if they are allowing their champions to be squashed by rookies on live national television.

You know what that means? Yes, WWE calling NC Bizzaro Land II.
Mad Dog - March 1, 2005 06:41 PM (GMT)
If Orton beats Taker at Mania I will never watch WWF programming again.
Just throwing that out there. I've only made that threat twice before:
Taker vs. Triple H at WMX-7
the potential of Stephanie as WWF Champion.
Scrooge McSuck - March 1, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
If Orton beats Undertaker, I say the same thing. Undertaker should NOT put over Orton, who isn't even over enough to be a credible World Champion, and wins over anyone won't matter in the long run. Plus all the Undertaker has left is "The Streak". Fans will remember the strak far longer than they will if someone ended it.
Real F'n Show - March 2, 2005 02:41 AM (GMT)
Raw ThoughtsI really liked HBK/Edge a lot. Otherwise, lackluster show.

The finish to the Muhammad Hassan/Chris Benoit RAW match was botched. The finish was supposed to have Hassan hold the ringbell while Benoit went for the Flying Headbutt. Benoit would then hit his head on the ringbell, allowing Hassan to get the pin. Hassan, however, did not get the ringbell in position and WWE had to call an audible and go with the DQ finish. WWE management was very upset about the botched finish since they wanted Hassan to look extremely strong and stay undefeated going into WrestleMania 21. Believe it or not, WWE is considering having a Muhammad Hassan vs. Hulk Hogan match at WM21.

I'm not one to say I told you so, but....well shit. Nailed that one.
Scrooge McSuck - March 3, 2005 12:16 AM (GMT)
HULK HOGAN vs. MUHAMMAD HASSAN?!?!!?!?!
God dammit... I WANT MY PPV AXCESS BACK!!!!!
Mad Dog - March 3, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
Hassan should be completely depushed for how horribly he fucked everything up on Monday.
Scrooge McSuck - March 3, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
Job him to Hogan at WM XXI. :D WOOO! HOGAN BACK!
Mad Dog - March 3, 2005 01:29 AM (GMT)
He should be fired actually. I bet a student that's only taken 2 or 3 classes is above the kind of botches the guy made.
Scrooge McSuck - March 3, 2005 02:23 AM (GMT)
I'm sure I could've wrestled a better match than that (somehow you-know-who gave the match ***, when it really should've been -***), but firing? He probably just choked. It happens...
JOB HIM OUT TO EVERYONE!
Mad Dog - March 3, 2005 02:33 AM (GMT)
I'd have given it a Dud or a 1/4*. Though I don't give out negative stars for anything. But there's no way in heel that was a *** match.
Scrooge McSuck - March 3, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
I was just making a point, I don't give negative ratings unless I'm really pissed. That is a fucked up rating though, and even my blind love for a certain wrestler isn't that clouded. (I've ranked maybe 8 or 9 Kane matches ever over ***)
Scrooge McSuck - March 3, 2005 05:16 AM (GMT)

High-larious... I hope everyone sees what I do (NOT HBK bending over)
dynamite kido - March 3, 2005 06:00 AM (GMT)
It was funnier than hell on TV too as the security dude runs over and basically tackles the sign.
Scrooge McSuck - March 3, 2005 06:04 AM (GMT)
I'm so glad I taped RAW... I don't even remember seeing it happen.
Edit: Best 3.4 seconds of TV ever.
Real F'n Show - March 3, 2005 10:56 PM (GMT)
Hahaha. I really wanna see the security guard guy tackle him now...

No no, he doesn't tackle the guy holding the sign. He just tackles the sign. Which makes it like 100x funnier.

Someone post a gif or something. NOW.
Scrooge McSuck - March 4, 2005 02:06 AM (GMT)
(continues watching on VCR) So... damn... funny. The guy acted as the sign was the President of the United States.
whitemilesdavis - March 4, 2005 02:16 PM (GMT)
I've gotta say, I was loving the Jordan/Cena match. I hate Cena, and I've never been impressed by Jordan, so I was pretty shocked at how well his match was turning out. At the end it fell apart, but I blame that more on the booking.
Scrooge McSuck - March 4, 2005 02:28 PM (GMT)
So far in 2005, I've watched Smackdown once... barely. Orlando F'N Jordan is the new US Champion... oh well, it's off Cena at least.

The only thing that means is that Cena is getting ready to get the WWE title. Which is worse than JBL. Hey, if Jordan's effort last night is any indication of things to come, I'm all for his oush.
dynamite kido - March 4, 2005 02:42 PM (GMT)
Personally, I hated the match WMD. I'm shocked that they gave two workers that are that poor in the ring that much time.
At this point, I'm starting to think that putting that title on Cena could be a monumental disaster.
whitemilesdavis - March 4, 2005 02:51 PM (GMT)
I can't believe you didn't respect Orlando's effort. I thought he was carrying a very watchable match until Cena started taking over late. Cena's offense is SOOOO rediculous, it makes the Hulk-up seem believable (sorry for the cheap shot, Polo). I've never seen anything in Orlando, but last night I got the feeling that against a decent worker, he could really put something on.
I totally agree with you about Cena and the WWE title. Gimmick's should not get the heavyweight championship. JBL was a risk that could have turned out a lot worse for WWE, but Cena is sure to sink the title.
dynamite kido - March 4, 2005 03:19 PM (GMT)
Honestly, I did think that Orlando did alright in the match. I was just stating that up to this point he's shown very little promise and also with them knowing how limited Cena is, it's amazing that they put two workers or their caliber in a match slated to be that long. I'm not saying the match was unwatchable, it just wasn't good at all IMO.
Scrooge McSuck - March 4, 2005 03:23 PM (GMT)
Oh no... CENA as WORLD CHAMPION? Fuck it, I'm not watching Smackdown ever again. Please JBL... goosestep again to get the reign to last longer! I'M BEGGING!
(hulks up on every moronic Cena fan)
dynamite kido - March 4, 2005 03:26 PM (GMT)
Actually I still do think there is a strong chance that JBL keeps at Mania. I just doubt it.....
whitemilesdavis - March 4, 2005 03:43 PM (GMT)
With the golden child Cena losing the US title last night, it just seems inevitable that he would win the strap at Mania.
As I've said before, I thought the ending of the match last night pretty much destroyed anything they had going. I thought the larger portion of the match, with OJ on offense was pretty darn good. The minute Cena hit that horible swinging kneck-breaker, the match was shot.
dynamite kido - March 4, 2005 03:53 PM (GMT)
This was mentioned at Smarkschoice in one of the threads talking about Cena and in thinking about it I got a laugh out of it.
"A guy may win the fucking WWE Title with a firemans carry"
Something to think about.....when it comes to Cena.
whitemilesdavis - March 4, 2005 03:55 PM (GMT)
Well you know what's next...
A guy wins the World title with a full nelson?
Let's hope they abort that douche before it goes that far.

I don't think we'll ever have to worry about that.......at least not with Trips around.
Holy shit....I just came up with a positive reason for trips to be around. The world is definately going to end now.....great.
whitemilesdavis - March 4, 2005 04:15 PM (GMT)
I don't even complain about HHH anymore. Look at it this way....Trips, JBL, Cena, Chris Masters...who is the most credible champ? In other words, it could be worse. Plus, I think the build they are doing with Batista is perfect. If they could pull off a 20 minute / *** 1/2 star match at Mania, it could really put Batista on that next level.
