The following is courtesy of Mike Johnson of PW Insider. Also, it was reported yesterday that Kazarian will work some more dark matches in a couple of weeks. A very good signing.

Frankie Kazarian publicly announced that he was signing a WWE deal at last night's Ultimate Pro Wrestling event in Santa Ana, California. Daniel Puder and Jesus also appeared on the show. Puder did a segment where he challenged anyone to take him down in one minute, while Jesus came out and cut a promo about his neck surgery and noted that when he was able to get back in the ring, he'd be gunning for John Cena. .

Well, at least that adds someone else with some talent to be on Velocity. I clearly stand corrected from my original comment, as I doubted the WWE would sign Kazarian.

prof_plague - February 25, 2005 05:28 AM (GMT)
Hooray! I like it when the WWE does something right! :)

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 01:02 PM (GMT)
Well, it's not like WWE pushes cruiserweights, so we'll probably never see him.

Big F'N Swigg - February 25, 2005 05:04 PM (GMT)
Eh, I've not seen anything impressive out of Kazarian.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 05:15 PM (GMT)
I like Kazarian fine, but it's not like he's some workrate king.

Scrooge McSuck - February 25, 2005 05:25 PM (GMT)
He's better than Rene Dupree, Hardcore Holly, Kenzo Suzuki, Heidenreich, and Shannon Moore.

So then it'll make sense when he's way below on the card than all of them.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 05:31 PM (GMT)
I would say he's not in the same league with Shannon Moore.

Scrooge McSuck - February 25, 2005 05:35 PM (GMT)
Shannon Moore is painfully average (at best), and Paul London couldn't get a good match out of him.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 05:48 PM (GMT)
Where? Velocity? As if WWE doesn't weight down their guys enough, put them on a D-show. Shannon Moore was a stand-out worker in the NC indies before going to WCW. While there, he put on some really good performances as part of Three Count, particularly against the Jung Dragons. After WCW he spent more time on the indy circuit, turning in some incredible performances against Shane Helms. Since being in WWE, he has not had one decent opportunity to display his talent, not one.

Trust me, he is worlds ahead of Frankie Kazarian, and Kazarian is not all that bad.

SamoaRowe - February 25, 2005 08:01 PM (GMT)
I've really enjoyed Kazarian's work thus far. He's not "the greatest" but he'll be a good addition to the Smackdown roster.

I've about lost all faith in Shannon Moore, as I remember he was doing a lot better when he first appeared on Smackdown in 2002. I think he's just lost his motivation.

I don't really remember many 3 Count matches that didn't involve the three of them being destroyed by a hoss.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 08:59 PM (GMT)
Their series with Jung Dragons was the highlight of Nitro for several weeks. He's had nothing to do in WWE to be motivated for.

He had some good tag matches with the Hurricane when he first debuted. That's all I can think of.

I know. :( But I can always dream.

Again, we can only hope.

Wait...London has held a WWE title. The Tag Team title. :P ...For a month. Hey...wasn't that as long as Orton was Heavy-weight champion?

Scrooge McSuck - February 26, 2005 07:32 PM (GMT)
London/Kidman were tag champs for about 2 months, give or take a week. :)

I meant a singles title... where he can wrestle the whole match instead of staying on the around 50% of the time.

Oh yeah. That's right. My bad. I forgot the OWW site uses European dating so when I saw, "Billy Kidman & Paul London 08/07/04 to Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki 09/09/04" I was reading it that way, and not as July 8, 2004 to September 9, 2004. So it take that back...they were tag team champions longer than Orton as Heavy-Weight champion. :D

What? Why as a singles title? You make it sound like the WWE hired someone with talent. :P

London actually gets a Wrestlemania spot. I think I'll wet my pants. Too bad Ultimo Dragon never came back. :(
