Title: Raw Rating
Description: Batista a draw?

SamoaRowe - February 24, 2005 06:36 PM (GMT)
Raw did a 4.0 this week, which isn't too exciting until it is mentioned that the segment where Batista turned on Triple H scored a 5.0! This is the first time that has happened since the draft lottery last year!

Some people are giving credit to the Ultimate Fighter because it scored a record 2.0 rating.

I think it was Batista turning though.

Definitely that last segment. It was well done, and the crowd was going crazy.

I agree. A 5.0 is nothing to scoff at. I just really hope they don't screw this up.

whitemilesdavis - February 24, 2005 07:23 PM (GMT)
Consider it screwed. Seriously, when is the last time WWE got it right? Dave could be their next real break through star if they'll play it right.

Scrooge McSuck - February 24, 2005 07:32 PM (GMT)
The last time WWE did consistantly good 5.0 segments was when Kane did his unmasking angle... and before McMahon made him his bitch. The last time it's happend period was already mentioned.

FINALLY WWE does something right... intentionally.

Mad Dog - February 24, 2005 07:36 PM (GMT)
If this rating continues you just know Triple H is going to go over Batista at Mania to make sure this doesn't work at all.

Hahaha. That's all I really stuck around for to watch. But then again, I didn't get out of one my meetings until 9:30 anyhow...so I didn't start watching until about 10-ish.

I've actually been meaning to get into the Ultimate Fighter. I just am so used to turning it off when Raw goes off the air.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 01:03 PM (GMT)
I'm disappointed in the Ultimate Fighter. Regular old reality show BS for 50 mminutes, then a fight between two very unpolished fighters.

TehDoct0r - February 25, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
That fight on Monday was the pussiest thing I have ever seen in my life.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
You should've seen Charlotte Bobcat and Mad Dog fighting over the curling iron...OK, sorry.

Yeah that fight completely sucked. These guys are just so raw. They want the fights to stay on the feet so there will be a chance of a good punch landing, but when it goes to the floor the guys have no clue what to do.

Scrooge McSuck - February 25, 2005 05:03 PM (GMT)
I hate 90% of reality shows. Hell, the only ones I've watched in the last year was the Real Gilligans Island, and TBS really fucked up the show with their non-stop advertisements and horrible time scheduling.

I also watch the Simple Life: Interns... don't ask why (and no, I find Paris Hilton very unattractive)

I think the problem was Leben was hyped up as the next big thing and he ended up being nothing in the ring. All he did was talk shit and it's hilarious that he couldn't even begin to back it up in the octagon.

I blame the shitty fight completely on him. The other guy didn't really need to do much other than takedowns when he figured out Leben was just going to lay there.

whitemilesdavis - February 25, 2005 06:05 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I agree. I loved the whole "You're a wuss for beating me in that manner" rant. The guy did what he had to do and it worked. Leben had nothing but a punch, and once you take that away, he's pathetic.

Yeah.

What did he expect? For him to stand there instead of standing there so Leben could punch him? Koschek executed a great plan to neutralize a striker. It was boring as hell but what does he care if he gets a W at the end.

TehDoct0r - February 26, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
Yea. The retard got PISSED that a WRESTLER took him to the mat and won on points. Little bitch.

Scrooge McSuck - February 26, 2005 08:22 PM (GMT)
The guy obviously hasn't seen much UFC, where 99.999999999999% of all fights leads to one guy getting owned when Fighter A locks him in a hold on the ground (specifically against an opponent who does poorly off his feet) and beats the shit out of him because Fighter B has no idea how to counter or fight back.

I watched this again on the replay last night, and I must ammend my first statement. Koscheck completely dominated the fight. Leben didn't land one clean shot, and never had Koscheck in any position for a submission. Koscheck on the other hand completely controlled the fight, and had a couple of really strong take-downs. Really a nice fight by Josh, that was only boring because Chris was so inept.

Random thread bump!

So that Batista sure did turn into a big draw eh? Good thing the WWE learned from their mistakes and didn't ruin Edge when he was drawing 5.0 segments either...

Ah, I've never been there, but seeing as I live in the midst of Red Sox Nation, I can only imagine the stupidity that goes on there.
