| 8. IWGP Heavyweight Title & Triple Crown: Satoshi Kojima © beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan © (59:45) by KO (1st defense) to become the 41st IWGP Heavyweight Champion. |
Wow, I am extremely shocked that they did this. I really wanna see this match too.....

So explain to me how this is impossible.

New Japan and All Japan at one point were like how WCW/WWF were in the US. So for someone to hold the TC and the IWGP is not just a big deal.......it's the first time EVER that it's happened.

Oh, see I didn't even think about the titles, I thought you were talking about the guy who won or something.
As for the belts, WOW. How did the match happen? Are AJPW & NJPW helping each other out or something?

I can't believe that they fucking jobbed Tenzan. That guy can't catch a break with the IWGP Title.

It's not that negative MD. Tenzan is horribly injured right now and they NEEDED to take it off of him. This has me wondering though if now Muta is going to fight on a major NJPW show to pull major job duty?
Oh, and Swiggy.....they are sort of helping each other out. See what is happening now in Japan is that Kensuki Sasaki has pretty much been the hottest wrestling going right now (except for Kobashi) and he's a freelancer. That means that he pretty much wrestles when and where he wants. He's been such a needed addition to everywhere he's fought they have been throwing pushes left and right at him and NJ actually put the IWGP on him. Then he lost it to Tenzan who they were planning to give a fairly decent (or as decent as NJPW can do) run with the title until his injuries were too much. I'm sure that NJ is expecting some sort of favor in return for putting the IWGP on Kojima like having Muta wrestle on one of the NJ shows and put over someone they are pushing. I'm just hoping that it's Tanahashi......

I think it's time Tanahashi gets the IWGP Title. It's time to solidify the young guns on top. Have him beat Mutoh for a shot and then have him win the belt at one of the major summer Dome Shows.

I was also surprised to see that Tiger Mask retained the Junior Title against Jushin Liger.

I'm soooo all for that it's not even funny. Tanahashi is probably the best heavy NJ has right now so that would be a decent idea.

I guess they could also put it off till fall and have him win the G-1 Climax. Or he could win the belt in July then win the G-1 Climax. Either way GIVE HIM THE BELT!!!
