Real F'n Show - February 21, 2005 06:12 PM (GMT)
I don't think they've announced any matches for Raw yet, although the preview says the "unveiling" of The Masterpiece will take place tonight...

Scrooge McSuck - February 21, 2005 06:21 PM (GMT)
Good god, more OVW shits that can't get over and have no significant talent. I'm glad I rarely watch RAW and Smackdown these days.

VELOCITY ALL THE WAY! ALL THE WAY! ALL THE WAY!

dynamite kido - February 21, 2005 07:07 PM (GMT)
Well, I was out on Saturday and I DVR'd Velocity. Anything good on it?

Nope. Probably one of the worst Velocity's in a long while. Charlotte Bobcat's got a review up in Fantasy Booking.

Ahhh, I didn't even know that's where they are. I rarely frequent that folder.....thanx

Scrooge McSuck - February 21, 2005 07:37 PM (GMT)
Short and simple: The show sucked. Haas/Dupree was OK for a B-Show match, but a Heidenreich squash and Holly v. Suzuki makes the baby Jesus cry.

Looks like that Velocity is headed for Erasedville....

I think we ought to take reviews out of the Fantasy folder, and just put them in the folder with the subject they are about.

We could always have a folder JUST for reviews if people would do them often enough.

whitemilesdavis - February 21, 2005 08:01 PM (GMT)
I think that's a great idea, and would be a good place for archiving and discussing reviews once the site is up.

Scrooge McSuck - February 21, 2005 08:06 PM (GMT)
It would end up being the Bobcat Folder, since I'm the only person to do them, except for (I think) Ernies review of Great American Bash 2004.

Not true. It's just that noone does them in the fantasy folder. I've posted a couple of reviews in different topics.

Interesting idea. I'll look into it.

Scrooge McSuck - February 21, 2005 08:58 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a good idea. (Cries in pain after hitting self in groin) Help... me...

Real F'n Show - February 22, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
Still no matches announced. Meltzer thinks they'll do huge ratings for Batista's decision though. If Benoit ends up on Heat again, I'll be pissed.

Mad Dog - February 22, 2005 02:01 AM (GMT)
I think the WWF tanked Velocity on purpose. Notice about a month to six weeks ago they started putting some really shitty matches on there.

Scrooge McSuck - February 22, 2005 02:02 AM (GMT)
If Benoit ends up on Heat, they should send him to Smackdown to get him on Velocity every now and then to ease my pain.

Mad Dog - February 22, 2005 12:49 PM (GMT)
I miss the days when wrestling tv was eventful. It feels like nothing has happened on Raw since the title got vacated in December.

Scrooge McSuck - February 22, 2005 02:22 PM (GMT)
I miss when wrestling shows were nothing but squashes and the OCCASIONAL superstar match, which made PPV's actually important. We've seen every combination of wrestlers on each show that every week they become more and more meaningless.

In my day, Hulk Hogan NEVER wrestled on T.V, except for Saturday Night's Main Event. You didn't have titles changing every 2 weeks either.

SamoaRowe - February 22, 2005 02:24 PM (GMT)
I miss the days when midcarders were built up as well. If you watch a WWF tape from five or six years ago you'll hear the midcarders getting pops and heat that equal the reactions main eventers get today :(

Scrooge McSuck - February 22, 2005 02:28 PM (GMT)
As much as I dislike Vince Russo, he at least cared about the midcarders, and gave them something to do, no matter how dumb it was sometimes.

whitemilesdavis - February 22, 2005 03:01 PM (GMT)
I actually liked the ending of RAW last night. The crowd seemed to really be digging Batista. Hopefully they'll stumble on to something big with him.

Exactly. That's why I didn't mind Russo so much when he wrote for the WWE. That and I was young enough at the time to not know any better.

My Raw thoughts

Oooh... I should really start a second livejournal for my wrestling ramblings.

Scrooge McSuck - February 22, 2005 09:08 PM (GMT)
I think LiveJournal is over-rated... especially when 99% of the people they have seem to have a hard time trying to understand the english language.

Try Xanga then?

Scrooge McSuck - February 23, 2005 03:37 AM (GMT)
Matches taped for Velocity...

1. Paul London vs. Spike Dudley

2. Scotty Too Hotty vs. Rene Dupree

3. Booker T vs. Kenzo Suzuki

4. SQUASH MATCH TO BE NAMED LATER ;)

SamoaRowe - February 23, 2005 03:40 AM (GMT)
Yay, Paul London returns to Velocity. Looks like that No Way Out performance REALLY helped him out.

Scrooge McSuck - February 23, 2005 03:43 AM (GMT)
And that match against Heidenrape really helped Booker.

Definitly. Rene Dupree was lucky though, he got to wrestle on Velocity and Heat on the same weekend!

Scrooge McSuck - February 23, 2005 03:46 AM (GMT)
As did Haas, Holly, and Suzuki.

Wait... Heidenrape... Hide N' Rape! Thats like a new kinky sex like store name! I'm a genius like Lanny Poffo!
