Carter was responding to Vince’s concern that TNA is still TV-14, while WWE has changed with the times and gone PG. Carter also thought it was “wonderful that Vince watches TNA iMPACT.” (PW)

Samoa Joe’s new look was planned to make him a “bigger star than every before,” and in case you hadn’t notice, Joe put on some mass while on time off recently. (WV)
Rumour has it Kurt Angle was frustrated with Sting for not being able to perform the originally planned match a Destination X and for being “often out of position” during that match. (WV)
Don West’s heel character has been toned down as per instruction from top management. (WV)
TNA’s World X Cup tournament seems to be in jeopardy. TNA itself views working with international promotions to be a communication headache. There was apparently an agreement between CMLL and TNA that CMLL would hold the tournament and it would be aired on Impact later, but nothing further has been said about this deal, and CMLL has not been using TNA talent on recent PPVs. Some have suggested TNA work with AAA instead, but with the involvement of Konnan in AAA this sort of deal is unlikely. (WV)

OTHERIf you haven’t heard, AAA’s Abismo Negro was found dead in a river in El Rosario, Mexico on Sunday, March 22. He was 37. (WV)
The official cause of death was drowning. (G)
Abismo Negro’s funeral, held on Wednesday, March 25, was paid for by AAA and was covered by major Mexican media. He was cremated and he will be interred in his hometown of Villahermosa, Tabasco. (G)
On a sad note, those who knew him said Abismo’s drug habit had grown out of control over the past several years, to the point where he would wrestle for drugs or spend all his money on them. (G)
It has been theorized that drugs contributed to Abismo’s death – he was on a bus to Mexico City when he demanded to be let off after becoming agitated. He apparently got lost and drowned in the river where he was found. (WV)
Here’s an interesting story for you: Once upon a time Juventud Guerrera found poop in his bag. He took the bag to the owners of AAA, for whom he was wrestling his second show so far, and blamed Konnan for the poop. Jack Evans, who “had been stiffing [Guerrera] in [their] match earlier in the night,” grabbed Guerrera from behind and started booting him in the face while Konnan held Guerrera down. The moral of the story is that Juventud Guerrera has a broken “noise,” which I can only assume means his nose is broken. Good thing, too, cause otherwise he’d notice the stinky poop in his bag. According to Guerrera he still has his “integrity and pride” somehow. (PW)
Guerrera’s father, Fuerza Guerrera, told the Mexican press that Jack Evans and Konnan should be deported or jailed over the incident, and Hijo del Cien said “all Mexicans should stick together and stop "uneducated foreigners" (meaning Evans) behaving like an animal” (G)
In case you haven’t heard, Jonny Cafarella, who was the ring announcer for GLOW and worked with WOW, is now heading a promotion called “Wrestlicious,” which is an all-female promotion. From all indications, the talent involved in the promotion is great and the wrestling is good, but the characters presented are purposefully silly. Talent included in an August 2008 tape that is being circulated to advertise for the promotion are Daffney (who has since signed at TNA deal), Amber O'Neal, Lizzie Valentine, Christie Ricci, Becky Bayless, Lacey Von Erich, Daizee Haze, Portia Perez, Lexie Fyfe, Serena Deeb, and Danya. The promotion was funded by the youngest Powerball winner in history, 19 year old Jonathon Vargas, who will appear on the show as JV Rich. He won $35 million in 2008 and immediately put the money toward achieving his dream of “being involved in the wrestling business”. (WV)
