Title: March 2009 Site Feedback
Description: What Da' World is Watching!

Erick Von Erich - March 10, 2009 05:40 AM (GMT)
It's been March for well over a week. I also hadn't noticed that we set clocks forward, last night.

Here are the top 10 Site referrals for the month of Febuary 2009:

1. www,dawrestlingsite.com
2. dawrestlingsite
3. "awesome jericho promo"
4. wwf man.whistling
5. da wrestling site
6. wrestlemania 3 reviews
7. wwf house show reviews
8. the veer union lyrics
9. "prime time wrestling" wwf 1992
10. angel williams spank

The kids apparently still cream themselves over Angel Williams being spanked. If you Google that, you get PSR's FIP review. Whatever would we do without Angel Williams and her buns?

Oh, and I still need help with clicks. If we don't reach a certain level by June, I won't be able to continue funding the site. I'm not issuing an ultimatum... just putting that out there so you can maybe help.

Sometimes I feel bad. Down in the dumps. Depressed. Bluesy.

Then I get an email with the following subject line:

"SCOTTY RIGGS is now your friend on MySpace!"

And the world is a better fucking place!!

I have a question. My profile says I joined in 2006. I didn't possibly join way back then, did I? I thought I'd only been here like a year.

Erick Von Erich - March 17, 2009 06:18 AM (GMT)
I think you did register back then. But you probably forgot about it.

I remember some ding-dong named "powerslam" registered, about a year ago, then proceeded to spam EVERY single registered member; asking them to join his shitty message board. So you probably got a PM from him, logged in to check, but stuck around for Da' Board.

EvE: tellin' it like it is.

Oh, I remember what happened now. I joined when Rowe asked me to way back when but I can't handle posting at two forums at once so I stopped coming back. Then when I got kicked out of GStorm for being too sarcastic I came here to play instead. I just think the 06 stamp makes me seem like more of a vet than I actually am. haha

Just thought I'd mention that I'm actively trying to keep my blog somewhat up to date now, since it's still linked to the main page and all that. Recent topics include Test, Koko B. Ware, and the developing Wrestlemania 25 card.

So are you Real F'N Show Erick? I remember that guy got me to come to this place in the first place.

They're two different people (I think) it's just that RFS has been MIA for a while.

Like most people here.

Real F'n Show started Da' Board a few years ago. He's still the official admin/owner, but he changed his name to "Metrodome" and hasn't been seen since late last year.

I guess you could he's sorta' like the Linda McMahon of this dive. Rarely seen on screen, but still apparently has some Important Ownership Value to the company.

Da' Site, however, is pretty much all me (with hefty contributions from everyone around here).

C'mon now, Rowe... did you just bump/dig-up/re-hash your "Heroes of Wrestling" review AGAIN?!

SamoaRowe - March 24, 2009 07:49 PM (GMT)
Hey, it's the first time I've posted it on the blog, and I figure why not since I don't see it getting added to da main page anytime soon.

Also, the NWA has fallen behind updating the Showcase on their website, so I'm kind of up in the air on whether or not I'm going to keep following it (also, the show kind of blows nowadays).

Erick Von Erich - March 25, 2009 05:42 PM (GMT)
I got an enthusiastic email from some guy who was into the NWA Showcase reviews. I directed him to your email, so he may have contacted you last week.

See, my issue with "Heroes of Wrestling" is that it's one of THE most lampooned and ridiculed shows in the history of Internet Rasslin' Fans. To me, it's beating a dead horse to constantly recycle the damn thing.. just like the constant referrals to WrestleCrap that also peeve me off. I don't want us to join the crowd and keep using the same frickin' punch lines. What's next? Gooble-de-gooker references?! That'd be fresh.

It's not a knock on Rowe's writing at all. You could have the funniest joke I've ever read in there and I'd ignore it because of the context. I'm just sick of seeing it.

There's enough stuff out there that we shouldn't have to re-hash anything. Funnier stuff, more obscure stuff...more interesting stuff. I don't really like digging into our old "Reviews & Columns" folder and posting stuff to Da' Site (which is why I hated that "post all of the old WrestleManias" from last year). All that stuff's been presented already and putting it on Da' Site does not improve Google traffic or "make the site look fresh". In fact, by putting it in two places, we're actually competing with ourselves.

Let's move on and find something new.

SamoaRowe - March 25, 2009 07:26 PM (GMT)
Oooh, I have a fan. Maybe I'll stick to those reviews after all. If he e-mailed me, I must have deleted it by accident.

Honestly, I don't really care if Heroes of Wrestling ever shows up on da main site or not, I just wanted something to pad my blog and not repost something that's on the actual main page. So huzzah for new things!

Can we get rid of the "Da Cage Effect" banner? It makes my skin crawl a bit whenever I see it

Erick Von Erich - April 3, 2009 02:26 PM (GMT)
Made the shittiest, easiest, cheesiest logo I could think of for April Fool's Day. Have a few more shitty themed logos that I'll be trying out over the next week or so.
