In case you hadn’t heard, D-Lo Brown and Bam Neely have been released. While D-Lo had been rarely used by creative, Neely’s release had a little to do with the heat he caught by not catching Evan Bourne and causing his ankle injury. Other firings include Jimmy Korderas, a referee, Canadian Val Venus, ECW’s Kevin Thorn and both of Vince McMahon’s limo drivers. Developmental talent Gavin Spears and Mike Kruel have also been released. (PW)

Speaking of Thorn, his WWE Universe account and blog were cancelled after he posted a post-firing blog. (PW)

Although the message has been taken down from the WWE.com Hall of Fame site, it appears that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the main inductee for the 2009 Class. (PW)

You’ll be happy to know that the Beth in the car accident on Smackdown with Jeff Hardy is not Jeff Hardy’s real fiancée Beth. (WV)

Chris Jericho received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Winnipeg’s Red River College, from where he graduated in 1990, this weekend. (G)


TNA
In a wonderfully tragic turn of fate (for Jillie’s sake, anyway) Christy Hemme will be out with a neck injury that will require surgery indefinitely. She sustained the injury while training with AJ Styles for her Genesis match against Kong. A replacement opponent will be named at the PPV, who is expected to be Taylor Wilde. (PW)

Dwayne Johnson (formerly The Rock) will be hosting the Kid’s Choice Awards on March 28. (WV)

Bobby Lashley’s next opponent will be Mike Hayes. (WV)
