In other news, look for Tommy Dreamer to be released soon. (J)

TNA
As late as Sunday, the word was Terry Funk was going to show up at TNA’s Final Resolution in the corner of Angle (PW). Obviously, it was Al Snow.
The original plan was to bring Frank Trigg in, but he had a scheduling conflict. (WV)
Jillie’s Note: Apparently, the mobile alert concerning this mystery person said that he would be a former World Champion and Tag Team Championship partner of Mick Foley’s. Later, the “former World Champion” part was dropped. The predictions being thrown out were The Rock, Stone Cold, Kane, Terry Funk, and Mikey Whipwreck (PW, WV). No one predicted Al Snow. According to Wikipedia, Al Snow and Mankind were 1 time WWF Tag Team Champions from November 2 to November 8, 1999, winning it from Crash and Hardcore Holly and losing to The New Age Outlaws. I’m not really sure how EVERYONE missed this, because it’s clearly listed on Mick Foley’s Wikipedia page, of all things.
On that note, expect to see Al Snow on Impact this week. (WV)

All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Akira Raijin will debut next week against Concequences Creed in the X Division Title Tourney. (PW)

Midway Games has announced another TNA game will be developed in 2009, after poor sales of TNA Impact! (WV)

Rhino was hospitalized with high blood pressure and wasn’t medically cleared to wrestle a show on Friday. (WV) Obviously, the problem must have blown over, because Rhino was wrestling at Final Resolution.

Look for a new one hour international TNA program featuring rare footage from the good ol’ days. (WV)

Nick Aldis will be debuting in the next couple of weeks on Impact. (WV)

TNA is happy with the sales of Kurt Angle’s latest DVD. (WV)

And, in case you’ve been living under a rock, Suicide is Frankie Kazarian. (WV)

OTHER

The National Board of Review recently named “The Wrestler” as one of the 10 best films of 2008. (WV)

If you hadn’t heard, Hogan was refereeing Reid Flair’s debut match on Saturday. He worked the show for free. (WV)
…and this is what Jimmy Hart had to say about it: http://www.wrestleview.com/news08/1228602435.shtml (WV)

Speaking of Hogan, Brutus Beefcake is now free to use his name after settling with the WWE. (WV)

On the off chance you were just thinking to yourself about The Oddities’ Kurrgan and what he has been doing these days, you will be happy to know he just knocked out Robert Downey Jr on the set of their new movie. http://www.kentnews.co.uk/kent-news/Explos...aspx?news=local (WV)

It really wouldn't surprise me if Angle showed back up. It would also make me very happy as I really dislike TNA and it hurts me to watch him on iMPACT~!
