| - December 2nd: It appears that dangerous feudal lines may cross on 12/26 in Philadelphia! The ROH World Tag Team Champions, Kevin Steen and El Generico, have requested to team up with the man they saved from a sure beat down in Toronto, The Necro Butcher! Steen and Generico have made it known to ROH officials that they are chomping at the bit to get their hands on the Briscoe Brothers again, especially after the sheer disrespect that they dealt with after their "Rising Above" PPV encounter, while Necro is dying for another chance to exact revenge on the Age of the Fall. These three men have requested a 6-man-grudge match! We're awaiting word from both the Briscoes and the AOTF on whether this six-man-battle will happen! - Speaking of Necro, we now know what he'll be doing in Nashville on 12/6. Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black basically told Necro in the ROH Videowire www.you-tube.com/watch?v=ArgX8V2BULk to "bring it on" and he's vehemently stated that he's going do just that. One night after he teams with "Crazy" Ace Steel in suburban St. Louis to face Jacobs and Delirious, he will once again face the AOTF, this time in the form of former ROH World Tag Champs, Jacobs and Black! And Necro has selected a partner that knows the AOTF all too well. Fresh off his "I Quit" victory over Jacobs at "Rising Above", Austin Aries will team with Necro in Nashville! All four of these men have been entrenched in one battle of another over the past several weeks, and all bets are off on 12/6. One thing to consider is that Aries is facing Tyler Black in a one-on-one match in St. Louis, so who knows how well Aries will fare this Saturday even with Necro at his side! - ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness and Claudio Castagnoli will oppose the team of Bryan Danielson and Jerry Lynn on 12/5 in St. Louis. Now we've come to learn that McGuinness and Castagnoli have an open contract for a tag team match on 12/26 in Philly! More on this as it develops. - Alex Payne made his biggest impact in ROH during the epic McGuinness/Danielson championship classic at "Rising Above". "Sugarfoot" will return to singles action on the 12/6 Nashville main show! - The ROH Booking Committee is bringing the Four-Corner-Survival back to New York City during "Final Battle" on 12/27. The first entry into the fray is none other than Sweet-n-Sour's "Young Knockout Kid" Chris Hero! We'll have more competitors as we get closer to 12/27! - The movie "The Wrestler" in which Ring of Honor is featured opens December 17th in limited release. The reviews so far have been excellent, especially the performance of star Mickey Rourke. The movie is featured in the current issue of Rolling Stone magazine (pg. 74) with Britney Spears on the cover. There was also a great article in the New York Times entertainment section this past weekend on the movie and Rourke. You can read the article here: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/30/magazine/30rourke-t.html. - Due to the popularity of the Cyber Monday Sale we've extended it for an additional 24 hours. You can still purchase 2004 ROH DVD's for only $8 each and save 40% off all tickets for upcoming live events. The sale will now end on Wednesday at 9am EST. | - December 3rd: Rhett Titus has had disparaging remarks for Grizzly Redwood and Luke Williams as of late, and now he'll have to back up those words in suburban St. Louis on Friday night. "Addicted to Love" will team with new found friend and Kenny King's YRR partner, Sal Rinauro, to take on the unorthodox duo of Redwood and Luke in tag team action! - Don't forget that also on Friday, Kenny King will face Kenny Omega in a singles grudge match stemming from Montreal where King left Omega to fall to the Briscoes. Then on Saturday in Nashville, King, Titus, and Rinauro will face Omega and the Briscoes in a 6-Man-Tag Team affair. - There is a 1-day sale at www.rohwrestling.com where you can save 20% off your order. For details click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2338 - Larry Sweeney has been reportedly gloating to anyone who will listen, saying he's got the best young tag team around. And it appears now that they will have an opportunity to prove it. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards of Sweet-n-Sour Incorporated will be on hand in Philadelphia on 12/26 and are demanding a "high profile tag team match". Sweeney commented, "Hahahahaha, once again Sweet-n-Sour proves why it is the straw that stirs the drink! Davey and Eddie are top shelf, and we intend to prove it. The ROH Booking Committee will be forced to take us into championship consideration - one way or another." - ROH officials spoke briefly with Jimmy Jacobs about the challenge laid out by the Necro Butcher, Kevin Steen, and El Generico for Philly on 12/26. Jacobs said with a smirk, "A game. That is all this challenge represents. This is an attempt by Necro to get into my head, to spew the tale that only he hears in his deranged mind. I laugh at the notion that I'd run the Age of the Fall headlong into a slaughter by not only facing Necro, Steen, and Generico – all three with which we've certainly played the game – but by also agreeing to have one of us team with Mark and Jay Briscoe. Surely this is a game crafted by the mind of a child. A child, who in Collinsville and Nashville, won't like the game I intend to play." - For those fans attending the Nashville event on Saturday night, the folks at Vanderbilt University have asked that everybody should park in lots 73, 74, and 75. To access these lots, turn off of West End Avenue onto Natchez Trace. The lots will be on the right. - We will have it on good authority that a huge announcement regarding "Final Battle" will be made in the next 24 hours. More on this as it develops. December 4th: Daizee Haze had plenty of venom in her words for Rhett Titus and the Age of the Fall in a video recently forwarded to ROH Officials http://www.you-tube.com/watch?v=PIgyZ3NV8SM. She is bound and determined to force Rhett Titus to admit that his lewd and disrespectful claims are untrue. Titus commented, “Brother, seriously? If anyone could tell you I’ve got shoulders like boulders, it’s Daizee. If anyone could tell you that my thighs mesmerize, it’s Daizee. And if anyone, and I mean anyone, knows that the thrust is definitely a must and knocks off the rust, it’s that tramp Daizee.” December 4th: We will have the first talent announcements for the January 16 event in Manassas, VA and the January 17 event in Edison, NJ early next week. ROH officials are finalizing negotiations with some great Mid Atlantic talent for these two events. |

| - December 9th: ROH Officials want to thank the wonderful patrons in both Collinsville and Nashville for wonderful events over the past weekend! Both debuts were a success and we owe it to you, the fans! Ring of Honor returns to Collinsville, IL on Friday, March 13th. Tickets are on sale right now at www.rohwrestling.com. - In major news, The Briscoe Brothers were able to secure their shot at Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima by virtue of their win in the Gauntlet Challenge in Collinsville. In comments from the 12/8 article http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2444, the former World Tag Team Champions make it clear that they are up to the challenge, despite suspicions about the knee injury suffered by Mark Briscoe. Jay Briscoe commented, "Those two want ROH's toughest fighters? Well ya don't have ta look much farther than the Briscoes to see who's the toughest around." We'll have more comments from the Briscoes in the upcoming ROH Videowire. - In a disgusting display from Saturday in Nashville, ROH World Champion, Nigel McGuinness sunk to a new low after Jerry Lynn took him to the limit in their championship match. McGuinness, who retained the title after blatantly using leverage from the ropes, took the microphone in what seemed at first to be a genuine gesture of respect toward the veteran Lynn. That perception quickly turned into a huge display of arrogance and utter disrespect as McGuinness insulted Lynn's background, age, and anything else that came to mind, emphatically stating that Lynn "never-made-it", "never-had-it", and that "the boys in the back are laughing at him". Lynn, who has held championship gold several times in his career, was visibly shaken by the words, as the Nashville faithful peppered Nigel with trash from ringside. ROH Video crews captured a heated display from Lynn, who erupted in the locker room area post match. We hope to have that footage available as son as possible. Lynn was unavailable for comment as this went to press. - Brent Albright placed several heated phone calls to the ROH offices on both Sunday and Monday, after a weekend that saw his team lose a shot at Sasaki and Nakajima after more Sweet-n-Sour games in Collinsville. Albright and Erick Stevens were disqualified after Stevens used Larry Sweeney's snakeskin boot to KO Davey Richards during the Gauntlet Challenge last Friday. Fortunately for Albright and Stevens, ROH officials are aware that Sweeney is the person that introduced the boot into the match. The following night in Nashville, Sweeney replaced Bobby Dempsey with himself in the match against Albright and Stevens, and once more attempted to introduce a weapon into play. This time, Sweeney mistakenly nailed Richards with a steel chair, allowing Albright and Stevens to score the win. ROH officials have grown very tired of the repeated rules violations by Sweet-n-Sour. Thus, on 12/27 in New York, the team of Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and Go Shiozaki with Larry Sweeney, will face the team of Brent Albright, Erick Stevens, and Roderick Strong in a "Come-As-You-Are New York City Street Fight"! Anything goes in this one, as ROH officials hope that this will be enough to settle the score once and for all! - The Buy 3, Get 2 Free Ring of Honor DVD Sale has been extended for an additional 24 hours until Wednesday at noon EST. Don't miss this great opportunity to save money on the latest ROH DVD's Driven 2008 PPV, Return of the 187, Ring of Honor 2. For complete details on the sale click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2440. - Rhett Titus allegedly came clean last Saturday in Nashville. Daizee Haze confronted Titus in front of the entire audience, and with the help of the Necro Butcher, got "Addicted to Love" to say that everything he'd said about Haze was untrue. That apparently wasn't enough; as Titus went on to exclaim that he was indeed a "virgin". This elicited raucous laughter from those on hand, and left Titus in complete embarrassment. What we have been unable to ascertain is whether Titus only said this under duress as he was facing imminent damage at the hands of Necro, or whether it's actually factual. Regardless, Rhett has entered himself into the Four-Corner-Survival encounter on 12/27 in Manhattan! In addition, we've been informed that he is lobbying executives at VH1 to cast him in the upcoming "Daisy of Love" reality show. If you want to cast your vote for "Rhettski the Jetski", you can make your voice heard by visiting: www.daisyoflovecasting.com/people/rhettdathreat. Word from the Titus camp is that we'll all soon know why he said what he did in Nashville! - ROH officials are happy to announce that the Mid-Atlantic region will be well represented in January! We'll welcome Damien Wayne, Sean Denny, and Chris Escobar to Manassas, VA on 1/16 and in Edison, NJ on 1/17. Wayne and Denny have appeared in the past, and this will be the debut for Escobar. All three competitors are standouts in their territory and worthy of competing in ROH. We'll have more talent additions soon, right here in the newswire. - Ring of Honor returns to PPV on Friday, January 16th with Rising Above. This event will carried on iN Demand, Direct TV, The Dish Network, and TVN cable systems. Mark your calendar now. More details coming soon. - We'll have more news for Final Battle Weekend tomorrow in the newswire; including reports of news from the Age of the Fall that, if true, won't sit well with ROH World Tag team Champions, Kevin Steen and El Generico! | - December 12th: Larry Sweeney said that Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards would take the tag team wrestling scene by storm, and it looks like they're setting the stage to do just that. We received a fax this morning at the ROH offices from Sweeney, saying that the "American Wolves" are issuing a challenge for December 26 in Philadelphia. And this challenge isn't for your typical run-of-the-hill tag match. The Wolves apparently aren't satisfied with the prospect of debuting and beating one team – they want two! That's right; the ever-arrogant Larry Sweeney is demanding that the American Wolves face TWO teams! The proprietor of Sweet-n-Sour Incorporated stated, "We don't care if it's a gauntlet, we don't care if it's a 3-Way-Dance, the American Wolves are going to show the world what tag team excellence is, and it is going to start in Philadelphia!" - In other Sweet-n-Sour news, a heated grudge match has been signed for Philly on 12/26. "That Young Knockout Kid" Chris Hero will represent Sweet-n-Sour and oppose the powerful Erick Stevens one-on-one! Stevens is looking for any reason to beat on a member of Sweet-n-Sour, stemming from the public beat down and subsequent concussion suffered at the hands of Sweeney's men in Markham, Ontario last month. Hero has stepped to the plate and promised Sweeney that Stevens will eat his vicious elbows, lose, and suffer another head injury on 12/26! - Check out the Ring of Honor "Holiday Triple Savings Sale" on the main page at www.rohwrestling.com. The first part of the sale includes 25% Off All Orders placed on the ROH website. With the second part of the sale you can get Free Shipping on your next order. The third part offers $5 Off all ROH live event ticket purchases. As always you can combine offers so you can mix the Free Shipping with the 25% Off Sale and also combine the $5 Ticket Sale with the 25% Off Sale. - New DVD Releases include "The French Connection" from Ring of Honor's debut in Montreal, Quebec on November 7th. This event includes a battle of champions as Nigel McGuinness defends the ROH World Title against FIP Champ Go Shiozaki, Tag Champ Kevin Steen, and Tag Champ El Generico in an Elimination Match. Also, Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black; Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards; plus more. Also just released is "Bound By Hate" from Markham, Ontarion on November 8th featuring Kevin Steen & El Generico defending the World Tag Team Titles against The Briscoes; Austin Aries vs. Jimmy Jacobs in a Dog Collar Match; Bryan Danielson vs. Tyler Black vs. Kenny Omega in a tremendous Three Way Match; Nigel McGuinness vs. Necro Butcher for the ROH World Title; plus more. - Kenny Omega aims to continue his meteoric rise in ROH during Final Battle Weekend! In Philly on 12/26, he has signed to face "Addicted to Love" Rhett Titus in a singles contest. Titus, completely embarrassed by Daizee Haze and the Necro Butcher in Nashville, is looking to get back on track. Then on 12/27 at the Hammerstein in midtown Manhattan, Omega is certainly facing his biggest challenge, Claudio Castagnoli! Castagnoli has been fuming and is fresh off a No DQ loss to Bryan Danielson. Without question, Claudio is looking for someone to take it out on. Will Omega rise to the occasion? We'll find out in two weeks! - Speaking of Rhett Titus, we've been told by Titus to expect another "sweet" video in the next few days. Good lord. Credit: ROHWrestling.com |

| December 15th: Roderick Strong’s challenge was answered as announced on the main page this morning at http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=2455. The Kensuke Office agreed to a tag team match on 12/26 in Philadelphia, and Strong has selected Brent Albright to team with against Sasaki and Nakajima. The four men in this match surely know how to “bring it”, and without question the fans in Philadelphia are in for one hell of a ride. Sasaki said he wanted ROH’s “toughest”, and it’s hard to argue that there are any tougher than Roderick Strong and Brent Albright! December 15th: Rhett Titus told us he had another “sweet” video in store (http://www.rohvideos.com/watch?v=xBxj6zOB50k), but we didn’t expect that he’d be calling out the Necro Butcher. The ever flamboyant Titus has challenged Necro to enter the Four Corner Survival on 12/27 in midtown Manhattan. Already signed are Chris Hero, Jerry Lynn, and Titus. Necro isn’t known for backing down from any challenge, so we hope to have confirmation this week! December 15th: Speaking of Necro Butcher, Jimmy Jacobs sent word late Sunday night that Necro, Steen, and El Generico will never get the six-man-tag match they want. Jacobs still can’t believe that anyone would be stupid enough to expect him to do business with the Briscoe Brothers under any circumstances. Jacobs has stated, however, that he’s not opposed to entering himself, Tyler Black, and Delirious into battle. In fact, he’s now challenged Steen, Generico, and Necro to face the AOTF in Philly on the 26th! Don’t forget that Jacobs has also lodged a complaint with the ROH Booking Committee, claiming that he and Delirious should receive another Tag Title shot based on the “unfair playing field” he alleges they faced several weeks back. We’re waiting for a determination from ROH officials on whether or not these charges merit any action. December 15th: There are less than 24 hours remaining in the "Holiday Triple Savings Sale" on the main page at www.rohwrestling.com. Sale ends Tuesday morning at 10am EST. December 15th: Larry Sweeney and the American Wolves wanted to make a statement and face two teams in Philadelphia on 12/26. We now know who one of the teams will be. In huge news, Claudio Castagnoli and ROH World Champion, Nigel McGuinness, have petitioned to be a part of this match. This is particularly risky for McGuinness, who only 24 hours later will face Naomichi Marufuji in New York for the ROH World Title. Sweeney, normally overflowing with sarcasm, shockingly had no comment after learning that Nigel and Claudio were signed to the match. ROH officials did not offer who the third team might be, but said they expect to have that announcement this week. December 15th: A special bonus match has been added to the DVD release of the 11/21 "Escalation" event from Dayton, OH. Recently in Chicago, Samoa Joe made his long awaited return to an ROH ring. Now, as part of the Dayton DVD, you can see Samoa Joe vs. Tyler Black in its entirety. Check out this first time ever match, and get a sneak peak at the new production equipment that was used for the PPV taping. We hope to have this DVD available to purchase at www.rohwrestling.com later this month and at the merchandise table during Final Battle weekend. |

| - December 17th: Ring of Honor will present their annual Wrestlemania weekend shows in Houston, TX on Friday, April 3rd with an 8pm bell time and Saturday, April 4th with a special 3pm bell time. Both events will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida de las Americas, Houston, TX 77010. Tickets for both events will go on sale Thursday, December 18th at 11am EST at www.rohwrestling.com. - It didn't take long for the Necro Butcher to answer the challenge laid out by Rhett Titus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBxj6zOB50k. Necro emphatically told ROH officials on late Tuesday night that he would love the chance to enter the Four Corner Survival on December 27 in New York City. "Titus is gonna learn his lesson", said the Butcher. "And he's gonna learn well. I never back down from a challenge. Not in the ROH/CZW Wars, not when I was with the Age of the Fall, and sure as hell not now. I'm coming for you Titus." This completes the completely stacked Four Corner Survival as Necro joins Rhett Titus, Chris Hero, and Jerry Lynn at the Hammerstein! - Speaking of Rhett Titus, he and Kenny King have signed to be on hand for ROH's return to Manassas, VA on 1/16 and Edison, NJ on 1/17. Previously announced for the doubleshot weekend are Mid-Atlantic standouts Damien Wayne, Sean Denny, and Chris Escobar, as well as the "American Wolves" of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards with Larry Sweeney. More stars of ROH will announced soon here in the Newswire. - ROH World Tag Team Champions, Kevin Steen and El Generico, have both made phone calls to the ROH Booking Committee in the last 48 hours to discuss the claims made by Jimmy Jacobs that he and Delirious had the deck stacked against them in Dayton last month. Steen, in particular, was outraged that Jacobs brought what he called "complete bull" to the Committee in hopes of landing another title shot. This topic apparently wasn't the only one that the champs discussed with ROH officials. We will have more on this before the week is over. -: It's official. After listening to claims made by both competitors and weighing the situation very carefully, ROH officials have sanctioned a huge match for 12/27 at Final Battle! The heat between Tyler Black and Austin Aries has been building, especially after Black scored a clean pinfall over Aries in suburban St. Louis earlier this month. Now these two will battle it out again. This time, ROH officials have upped the ante. Austin Aries and Tyler Black meet in New York, and the winner of this contest will be declared the Number One contender to the ROH World Championship! - The new ROH Video Wire posted at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W2Y0JLYoGc features highlights from our recent event in Nasville, TN. This includes comments from Nigel McGuinness towards Jerry Lynn from after their World Title Match, followed by a disturbing locker room confrontation. - The movie "The Wrestler" opens today in limited release. In New York City you can see the movie at Landmark Sunshine Cinema, 143 E. Houston Street, New York, NY 10002 and Lincoln Plaza Cinemas at 30 Lincoln Plaza, Broadway between 62nd and 63rd, New York, NY 10023. In Los Angeles it will be playing at The Landmark, 10850 West Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064. The New York Daily News gave the film a tremendous review today which you can read here: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/m..._with_role.html. - ROH officials received a surprising phone call this morning. | - December 23rd: Ring of Honor is looking forward to one of the biggest weekends in company history. We return to the New Alhambra Arena (former ECW Arena) on Friday night in Philadelphia, and we anticipate our largest crowd ever this Saturday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. Both shows feature five of the most celebrated Japanese professional wrestlers in the sport today. This includes the legendary Kensuke Sasaki, former ROH & GHC World Heavyweight Champion Takeshi Morishima, former Pro Wrestling NOAH Triple Crown Holder Naomichi Marufuji, Katsuhiko Nakajima, & Go Shiozaki. Advance tickets can be purchased online at whttp://www.rohwrestling.com/shoponline.asp?1=1&catid=163&keyword=&alKeyword=&iCurrentPage=2. - The fourth return of All Star Extravaganza, at the ECW arena in Philly, is going to be something special. For the first time ever, Austin Aries will lock horns with Naomichi Marufuji. These two spectacular athletes have never met in the ring before, and this first time encounter promises to be an instant classic. Go Shiozaki, fresh off the loss of the FIP Heavyweight Title to Tyler Black, gets not only a chance to redeem himself to the world and his agent Larry Sweeney, but possibly the biggest opportunity of his career. A win over Morishima would cement his already rising star and establish him as an international force. A third never-before-seen dream match will occur when the legendary powerhouse Kensuke Sasaki teams with protégé Katsuhiko Nakajima, a standout on the ROH shows in Tokyo in September, to take on the brutal combination of Roderick Strong and Brent Albright. Will these American two hard-hitters be able to overcome a team that combines a tremendously agile young star and a legend who has been leaving a trail of bodies in his wake for two decades? In Philly we will find out. - Kensuke Saske and Nakajima, fresh of their match in Philly with Roderick Strong and Brent Albright, will face the most prolific tag team in ROH history when they tangle with the Briscoe Brothers in New York. ROH World Champion Nigel McGuiness is in for a long night when he takes on the incredible Naomichi Marufuji, and the title will be on the line. The Ring of Honor World Championship has been held by one Japanese wrestler in the past, and may soon be worn by another. These matches highlight a card that includes Austin Aries vs. Tyler Black, a 4-corner survival match, a NYC Street Fight 6-man tag, and much more. - Bryan Danielson and Takeshi Morishima are no strangers to one another. Their meeting this Saturday at the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle has been brewing for a long time; the last two stateside singles contests between these men ended in disqualifications, and the most recent of these was a full year ago. In August of 2007 in New York, Bryan sustained an eye injury that required surgery and could have resulted in permanent damage. In November and December of last year, they each traded DQ victories in their attempts to maim one another. It's been a year since they last met, each man has been anxiously awaiting this opportunity, so given the circumstances, ROH officials made this a Fight Without Honor.. There's no telling what lengths these two will go to, as not only are they among the best in the sport today, but there is also an intense personal aspect to this match. - The BIG TEN SALE has been extended until Friday morning. For complete details click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=860. - We are thrilled about all of the positivity surrounding the movie "The Wrestler.' Mickey Rourke has won many awards worldwide for best film actor of 2008 and the movie has made many critics' best of lists, including Entertainment Weekly, which named it best picture of 2008. Ring of Honor is featured prominently in the last segment of the movie, which was filmed at ROH shows in Dover, New Jersey this past March. The movie is currently in limited release and will open Nationwide in January. In related news, Jerry Lynn was in attendance at a private ROH screening recently, and said to be very emotional about his career and its similarities to the career of Rourke's Randy 'the Ram' Robinson. "The Wrestler" will open this Friday in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Check your local listings for theater locations. Mickey Rourke will appear tonight as a guest on Late Night with David Letterman on CBS at 11:30 PM Eastern. |

| - December 29th: Everyone at ROH sends a huge "thank you" to each and every fan that has supported us throughout the past year. We look forward to 2009 and entertaining you with what we believe is the best wrestling product in the country. - Everyone in the Hammerstein Ballroom stood in shock as Austin Aries did the unthinkable. Shortly after defeating Tyler Black and earning a championship match, he watched Jimmy Jacobs lock the End Time on the fallen Black. He followed that up by wrapping a chair around Tyler's head and scaling the ropes, ostensibly to cripple Black. Aries charged the ring, in an apparent effort to stop Jacobs, but shattered that perception with a thunderous chairshot on Tyler as he struggled to get to his feet. Even Jacobs seemed stunned at the actions of Aries, but that didn't stop him from joining in an impromptu beatdown of the bloodied Black. No one is sure how to react to these events, and Aries has refused all attempts to discuss the matter. Jimmy Jacobs was more forthcoming, but also guarded, saying, "And everyone thought that Aries won our feud." Jacobs walked off with a sly smirk and refused further comment. - Larry Sweeney's American Wolves certainly left their mark over the past weekend. The biggest of their "achievements" is undoubtedly the knee injury they inflicted upon Mark Briscoe. As of this time, we are uncertain just how long Mark will be out of action, but we do know that surgery is required to repair the injury. Things could be worse for the Briscoes, and ironically they could have their arch-rivals, Kevin Steen and El Generico, to thank that things aren't worse. It was Steen and Generico that stopped the Wolves from going even further than they did, as Jay Briscoe could do nothing as he was handcuffed to the ropes and forced to watch his brother endure the torture commanded by Sweeney. We understand that comments from all parties are forthcoming in upcoming ROH Video Wires. - A gigantic End of Year Sale is currently ongoing where you can save 35-40% Off your next order. Don't delay as this type of sale doesn't come around often. For complete details on how to save, click here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=1682. - We are happy to announce that Brent Albright, Roderick Strong, and Erick Stevens will all be on hand in Manassas and Edison over the January 16-17 weekend. These three are elated to have finally been granted the steel cage grudge war that they have been seeking against Sweet-n-Sour Incorporated. Albright pleaded with ROH President Cary Silkin for the match, stating that Sweeney and his men are "ruining the company that (Silkin) built." ROH officials are currently trying to decide when this huge battle will take place, and we will bring you that announcement and any other news as soon as we have it. - ROH Officials are unhappy that security crews had to become involved in the events in Philadelphia and New York. In both cases, security personnel performed wonderfully, removing those that decided to interject themselves into the action. Ring of Honor respectfully asks those that attend our events to please respect the boundaries set forth by our ring barricades. We ask this of everyone, whether it be a paying customer or a wealthy prince. (heh!) Thank you for your attention. - We'll have the first match announcements for the ROH return to Manassas and Edison tomorrow in the Newswire. Credit: ROHWrestling.com |

| - December 30th: The Necro Butcher is coming off a tremendous performance in the highly anticipated film, "The Wrestler", as well as at Final Battle 2008, and now he continues his quest for revenge on the Age of the Fall. On 1/16 in Manassas, Necro will face Delirious one-on-one. This match has another subplot, as Daizee Haze as pegged Necro as the one that can help her deliver Delirious from the mind control that she claims Jimmy Jacobs has been able to maintain over him. Will Necro be able to get through to Delirious? Will Jimmy Jacobs have anything to do with this match? Will Daizee Haze interject? We'll find out on 1/16! - Damien Wayne and Chris Escobar are highly respected by their peers in the Mid-Atlantic region and have made strides as a tag team in FIP. Now they will face their biggest test as January 16 in Manassas brings them the challenge of Brent Albright and Erick Stevens. Albright and Stevens are fresh off a street fight victory in NYC, and are preparing for war inside the steel cage against Sweet-n-Sour Incorporated. If Wayne and Escobar can pull the upset, they'll solidify their status in ROH for sure. Or did they simply take a payday from Larry Sweeney to soften up the enemy? - Speaking of Larry Sweeney, ROH officials have been in talks with him in reference to the actions of the American Wolves this past weekend. The blatant interference is one of the biggest factors that prompted ROH President Cary Silkin to award the Steel Cage match to Albright and Company. But even this may not be enough, as rumor has it that ROH officials feel that Richards and Edwards may need to face some specific music for their high-profile part in the Sweet-n-Sour's most recent transgressions. More on this as it develops. - The End of Year Sale has been extended until Wednesday at noon EST. Don't miss your opportunity to save 35-40% Off your next order placed at www.rohwrestling.com. Details on the sale can be found here: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/article.aspx?id=1682. - It didn't take long for the match to get signed, and the dawn of a new day is upon us. On January 17 in Edison, the answers to many questions should be uncovered as Tyler Black has signed to face his former mentor and AOTF leader, the maniacal Jimmy Jacobs. The history between these two men is well documented. The end of their relations came on what is considered to be ROH's biggest stage. The blood has to be boiling in both men. Both Tyler and Jacobs were contacted for comments. Both men declined. - The DVD "Escalation" from Dayton, OH on November 21st is now in stock and available for immediate shipping. This event features Nigel McGuinness vs. Tyler Black vs. Austin Aries in a Non Title Three Way Match; Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli; Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Delirious for the World Tag Team Titles. As a special bonus you can witness the Samoa Joe vs. Tyler Black match from Chicago Ridge, IL on 11/22/08. - ROH officials have reached out to Austin Aries to see when he wants to exercise his title shot, which he earned by defeating Tyler Black in New York. ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness has stated that he'll accept the challenge whenever mandated by the ROH Booking Committee, but did so with a bit of trepidation, as he questions Aries "mental state". ROH Officials have also expressed concern, as Aries' recent actions, both in and out of the ring; have prompted many to raise issue. From the heated blood feud with Jacobs, to the happenings this past Saturday in New York, and now with Aries refusing all forms of contact from the ROH office, no one is quite sure where Aries stands.
