Description: Finally!

NOTES
Sorry about the absence. I had shit to do. Hopefully all this news will overload your senses. I didn't get any news from Gerweck.net, though, mostly because I was lazy. Enjoy!

WWE
Mr Kennedy thinks he’ll be back in the ring by the end of February. (PW)

As of November 9, MVP has lost 13 televised matches in a row; all of them clean pinfalls, including 11 straight SmackDown episodes. (PW)

It looks like Sci-Fi has extended its contract with the WWE (PW)

Lena Yada, Kenny Dykstra and Elijah Burke have been released by the WWE (PW)

Speaking of Burke, he does not have a non-complete clause and is accepting bookings now. (PW)

Speaking of Dykstra, he put up a comment about his release on MySpace then pulled it. This is what it said:
QUOTE
Believe it or not, I actually am happy to be gone from WWE. I dont have to do things around their schedule and I dont have to answer to anybody. I have never felt so free in my entire life. I had been working with WWE since I was 16 so I've never really known anything else. I did have fun with WWE but the creative side never used me properly or really gave me an opportunity to get over. It sucks when you know your better than the majority and your only used to make people look good. Will I stay wrestling? I'm not sure. WWE kinda puts a bad taste in your mouth after all the politics and garbage that can go on. I may try to go to TNA but we will see. I have 90 days to think about it and possibly try.
(WV)

A member of the audience was kicked out of the RAW and ECW tapings in Manchester on Monday after jumping the guard rail to pick up a 50 pound note that Cryme Tyme threw which landed next to the ring. The incident was edited out of the airing of RAW. (PW)

JR noted in his blog that Matt Hardy has suffered some minor injuries in Europe. (PW)
Matt Hardy posted on MySpace that he has suffered a hyper-extended left knee, and was diagnosed with a torn PCL and stretched ligaments. (WV)

As of Sunday, Wrestlemania was no where near being sold out. (WV)

The WWE has had it up to here with wrestlers continuously failing marijuana tests, and have stopped pushing some wrestlers because of it, but claiming punishment will get more severe. They would like you to know MVP was not one of those, despite his recent losing streak. (WV)

Dolph Ziggler, who was suspended for 30 days, is now available to work again. (WV)

The word backstage is that Evan Bourne will not need surgery. (WV)

Johnny Knoxville took a botched scoop slam from Beth Phoenix and “messed up his neck” on the October 13 edition of RAW, and was seen wearing a neck brace after the show. (WV)

The WWE is set to release a 9th volume of music on January 27, 2009. (WV)

WWE.com had issued a statement about Brock Lesnar’s UFC 91 win, but later pulled it. See if you can spot the reason!
QUOTE
For his part, Lesnar took the encouragement of the WWE Universe and the hard lessons forged during his fiery time at WWE and showed UFC and the world why he is not only a man of mettle but also a former three-time WWE Champion.

Critics have noted that many of the fights on the UFC pay-per-view ended in the first round, leaving UFC producers scrambling to fill the three-hour event with content. The dearth of hearty competition left many viewers to watch less prestigious under-card fights and only served to bolster claims that UFC pay-per-view events can often be a “crap shoot” in regards to filling the full three hours.
(WV)

The rumour is that Shawn Michaels has given the WWE a retirement date. (WV)

TNA
There was some confusion whether or not Scott Hall was booked to appear at TNA’s Turning Point. He appeared next to ICP, and Bashir, Sabin and Shelley interacted with him during their matches. Tenay was trying not to mention Hall or ICP by names and the camera was trying to avoid them, supporting some rumours that TNA did not in fact know they were supposed to be there. After the crew left their seats at the start of the Christian vs Booker match, they went backstage where Hall was asked to leave on account of being too drunk (apparently after Nash asked for his removal). It is now known that, while TNA officials knew ICP would be present at the event (Jarrett gave them permission to sit front row wearing their JCW shirts as part of a friendly relationship between TNA and ICP), they were not scheduled to be there by TNA, nor did they know Hall would be joining them. Apparently officials asked for the posse to leave because TNA didn’t want Hall’s presence to distract from the show. In addition, it is being reported that Rhino was angry, believing that Hall’s presence hurt his match. Nash and Samoa Joe were also angry, saying because Hall was expected to interfere (due to unfounded rumours sparked by his appearance backstage) it took away from the story of their match (Joe took everything from Nash and Nash won using brains, not brawn). (PW)
Jillie’s Note: I, for one, didn’t notice that it was Hall sitting there. I did, obviously, see ICP (how can you miss them, really?).
Interestingly, Jerry Springer interviewed ICP on his radio show “The Main Event,” and a dare was put out for ICP to show up at TNA, WWE and UFC televised events to promote their promotion, JCW. He also predicts that ROH might be a place to look for ICP in the near future. Violent J, in particular, has also challenge Samoa Joe to a match in JCW. (PW)

It is now thought that Christian WILL be heading to the WWE after this TNA contract is up, but no one is really sure as Christian keeps very much to his self. The beatdown of Cage by MEM on Impact is felt widely to be TNA’s way of writing Cage out of the storyline temporarily just in case he does jump ship, otherwise there is said to be a revenge storyline in the works. (PW)

Sarah Palin has been officially invited to Final Resolution. Read about it here: http://www.prowrestling.com/article/news/10963 (PW)
Fox Sports, Orlando Sentinel, TheExaminer.com and The Baltimore Sun all have stories on the invitation. (WV)

Kaz was backstage at Turning Point. (PW)

Rhino’s contract is expiring in the spring, as is Kurt Angle’s and some others’. There are some predictions that TNA will lose some people to the WWE, who is interested in a few of them. (PW, WV)

Check out Kurt Angle’s Sirius XM Radio interview here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6HKyd3nu5E...226210372.shtml and here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6HKyd3nu5E...226210372.shtml
(WV)

Dutch Mantel will be the agent for TNA, after the firing of Disco Inferno and Simon Diamond. Cornette has also been working as an agent, with Foley and Jarrett acting as authority figures on television right now. (WV)

Although the storyline involving Main Event Mafia is dominating TNA right now, neither Sting nor Kevin Nash work house shows, and Steiner has yet to return to house show events. (WV)

Mick Foley is working on a sitcom where he would play a version of himself. Scott D’Amore has signed on as a Producer, as well. (WV)

Christy Hemme has a “renewed passion for wrestling.” You can read about it here: http://www.tnawrestling.com/content/view/1156/84/ (WV)

From November 24 to December 16 (including the Dec 7 PPV, Final Resolution), TNA will team up with the US Marines to accept donations for the Toys for Tots collection. (WV)

And for all you Facebookaholics (like myself), TNA has now opened an official Facebook page. “Become a Fan” here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/TNA-Wrestling/31695961025 (WV)

TNAwrestling.com also issued a statement about Lesnar’s UFC win, but did not pull it. See if you can spot the reason!

OTHER
RVD will be appearing on Hogan’s CCW show next week to “help the stars with moves.”
(PW)

Linda Hogan, whose last name really isn’t Hogan, but whatever, is angry because Hulk Hogan has sold many of his trademarks and trademarked products to Eric Bischoff in an attempt, she says, to keep the money from her during their ensuing divorce. (PW)

In case you’re wondering, Sable and Brock Lesnar are still together. She is featured in a video by UFC’s Dana White talking about Brock’s upcoming fight. You might also be interested to know that Lesnar was guaranteed $250,000 for his appearance at UFC 91, plus a cut of the PPV revenue. (PW)

Also, in case you’re wondering, Brock Lesnar is the new UFC Heavyweight Champion. (WV)
Jillie’s Note: How does someone who has only had 3 MMA fights in his life get a freaking title shot to begin with!?

Bobby Lashley is looking at returning to the WWE. Read a part of his “The Shoot” interview here: http://www.prowrestling.com/article/news/10989 (PW)
Lashley will be fighting Joshua Franklin, also a MMA rookie, on December 13 for the Mixed Fighting Alliance debut. (WV)

The Iron Sheik is back! He shoots on LAX and Hulk Hogan this time, and you can see it here: http://www.tmz.com/2008/11/13/the-sheik-hi...ver-hulk-hogan/ (WV)

Gab Sapolsky has blogged about his recent ROH release. Go here: http://www.wrestleview.com/feds/allnews.shtml and look under Sunday, November 16, 2008. It’s the third point from the bottom, called “Gabe Sapolsky blogs on his release from Ring of Honor.” I would link you, but it will just redirect you to the main page, anyway. (WV)

Mike Adamle is hosting a local sports report on CBS Chicago. (WV)
