I find that smiley offensive, and am suing you because I have no real talent outside of sucking.

Raw was pretty good tonight (for once). The opener was alright, but a bit sloppy (a bit is a whee bit nice), the Main event was good, tag title match was energetic, and Batista planting Maven into the ground with the Batista-Bomb was awesome.

I can't wait for SNHeat. (KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE~!)

I loved the hell out of the submission match. The sloppiness added to the story of Benoit fucking MURDERING Jericho with the headbutt (he may have been legitimately dazed from one of those) and they stiffed the shit out of each other to boot. Plus Jericho countering Benoit's counter of the lionsault into the Walls was a thing of beauty.

Tajiri/Regal vs. La Resistance was a lot funner than I was expecting, and I loved the 2 double teams Tajiri and Regal busted out (Regal Stretch into running dropkick to the face, and a drop toe hold followed by a stiff knee). Plus Conway actually matched Regal's stiffness in the match, and Grenier took the kick of death like a man, even though he didn't do anything else of note.

I actually liked HBK/Flair a lot. It was fun seeing the Japanese reactions to both men, and even though the psychology wasn't emplemented until about midway through the match, they did an okay job with it, and HBK's selling was better than usual (except for the superkick, where he should have sold the leg more).

HHH/Edge was pretty fun as well. I figured it would be boring hearing that it went 20 some minutes, but they kept me watching. The chain wrestling at the beginning was strange coming from Trips, but whatever, I enjoyed it. The headstand nip-up was also fucking weird. My friend turned to me and asked what the hell just happened after he did that. Predictable finish, but I loved the facial expressions from Trips and Batista at the end.

Best Raw in a long time.

Benoit is God - February 9, 2005 06:02 AM (GMT)
I missed Benoit-Jericho. Shame on me. :(

Real F'n Show - February 11, 2005 03:34 AM (GMT)
Smackdown ruled it this week also.

Luther Reigns' promo was great. Plus he's got the best butterfly suplex in the company. Does anyone else use this move? Anyway, it fucking rules. So does his crazy ass neckbreaker. Luther is the man.

Chavo/Funaki was fun. Heel Chavo is good Chavo, and he was great here. Least sloppy Funaki match I've seen in a while. Fun match that the crowd was into.

Torrie looks hot. Oh yeah...

Alright I'm back. Don't ask what just happened.

Rey/Angle was fantastic. These two have such good chemistry together, and their reversal spots are always flawless and amazing to watch. Rey with the baseball slide headscissors to the floor was great, as was Angle's counter of the 619 into the anklelock. Fucking great match, I liked it better than Benoit/Jericho from Raw.

Good shit. I'm eagerly awaiting London/Akio...

JBL cutting a promo on the inflated Godzilla was fucking AWESOME.

"You're a lizard on steroids. You're Barry Bonds, you probably play baseball!"

I can't wait for London/Akio IV.

Another good episode of Velocity, with yet another great match with London and Akio, which seems to get better every time they wrestle.

Real F'n Show - February 14, 2005 01:22 AM (GMT)
Velocity/Heat thoughts:

London/Akio was damn good. Unlike Charlotte Bobcat however, I liked their one before this better than this one. Still a great match, they just didn't mesh as well this time out. I'm a big fan of London's double stomp to a standing opponent's back. And his sick bump of the match (he's taken a brutal bump in everyone of their matches) onto the stairs was nasty as hell. Good stuff.

Venis/Shelton on Heat was really good too. I dug Shelton's counter of a headlock by ROLLING THROUGH IT. Brilliant. I forgot Val still used the Blue Thunder Bomb. Pretty long match with Val getting in an equal amount of offense. Val is the Paul London of Heat, no doubt. Nice finishing sequence.

All 4 shows this week had at least one really good match. Excellent week of TV for the WWE.

Scrooge McSuck - February 14, 2005 02:05 AM (GMT)
I like the fact the last three Akio/London matches have all been different. Several spots can be seen in 2 matches, but you won't go "OK, I saw them already, they will just repeat the same formula". I felt the match was better than the one last month, which I probably gave a slight bump in the rating, but I felt that was better than the one in December, so it evens out.

Venis/Benjamin was good as well. Venis has had a string of good matches with everyone. Last month, him and Chad Collyer had what I would consider a *** match. Smart wrestling, enough time to build to everyone, and not at all boring.

Edit: I did a comparison check, and the InsidePulse reviewer said ****1/2 (too high), and 411 I think said ***3/4, so I guess I sandwich.

SamoaRowe - February 17, 2005 02:44 PM (GMT)
Damn, I wish I'd seen that Collyer/Venis match, I would've loved it.

Smackdown in Japan was really good too. I loved the reaction Funaki got and he tore down the house with Chavo. The Angle/Rey main event was really good too, though depressing to think about how much time Angle has left.
