Big F'N Swigg - February 8, 2005 12:27 AM (GMT)
from PWInsider.com

A source close to the situation has told us that Amy Weber has given notice to WWE head of talent relations John Laurinaitis. According to the source, she chose to do so due to locker room antics and the usual "boys will be boys" kind of stuff that often happens in the WWE locker room and can rub some women (and men for that matter) the wrong way. I checked with some well placed WWE sources (obviously not Laurinaitis) and word of her giving notice had not reached them yet. As of this writing, Weber's bio is still up on WWE.com but according to our reports she did not appear on the weekend house shows. We will update this story when we get more information.

To follow up from an item we had yesterday, the special called "Polynesian Power: Islanders in the NFL" will air on ESPN2, not ESPN, on Saturday February 12 at 8PM EST and the Rock will be doing some guest commentary for it.

Former ECW star Super Crazy worked out for WWE officials before one of the Japanese shows last weekend, but was hampered by his hand problems. We don't have any word on if WWE will bring him in, but they have been considering doing so for a while now.

Joanie Laurer's "train wreck" appearances on the Howard Stern show will air again on E! this coming weekend.

WWE Raw Diva Candice Michelle appeared in a commercial for GoDaddy.com last night during the Super Bowl.

The 2/3 edition of Smackdown did a 3.4 broadcast rating, with a 5 share. That is a better number than the overnight and fast national ratings had indicated on Friday, so WWE will be happy with it.

Today's Post Tribune has an article saying that Booker T got married to his girlfriend Sharmell "Paisley" Sullivan yesterday in Gary, IN. They will live in Texas after being married.

Today's Winnipeg Sun, quoting a "WWE Insider", is reporting today that Christy Hemme will pose naked in the April edition of Playboy magazine.

During the UFC PPV last night, they showed both Ken Shamrock and Bill Goldberg sitting at ringside.

Damn, Amy was the ONLY diva search participent I was actually enjoying.

Mad Dog - February 8, 2005 07:22 PM (GMT)
I don't even know who these new divas are. They've got way too many of them running around Smackdown now.

Scrooge McSuck - February 8, 2005 07:30 PM (GMT)
Good... she sucked anyway. 1 down, 67 to go (or so it seems).

SamoaRowe - February 8, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
Actually, I would have gotten rid of them all except for Amy (and maaaaybe Joy, depending on my mood). Maria, Candace, Michelle, and even Christy, are all totally worthless. Joy and Amy have actual roles. What do the others do? They are usually talking a wrestler to open a scene until someone interupts them and the diva goes off screen. Does Michelle McCool really fly out to these arenas to be on tv for 15 seconds?

Exactly. If they want people to know who the hell they are, then why introduce like 10 of them onto TV all at once. The only ones I know are Christy and Maria.

Mad Dog - February 8, 2005 11:19 PM (GMT)
I also can't believe they fired almost the entire lower card just so they could bring on most of the Diva Search contestants.

Scrooge McSuck - February 8, 2005 11:21 PM (GMT)
Smackdown has at least 3 or 4 of them I don't even remember who seem to just stand around talking.

Mad Dog - February 8, 2005 11:23 PM (GMT)
Are they training any of these women to actually wrestle? Or are they not even pretending that they're more than eye candy.

Scrooge McSuck - February 8, 2005 11:25 PM (GMT)
I doubt they are being trained to wrestle. Even if they were, I'd wish death on whoever would make them wrestlers. Most of them look like anorexic whores. At least the Women Wrestlers (all 4 of them) look suitable for wrestling in size. Not too big, but not too skinny.

It would be nice if they would, I would've liked to see Amy get in the ring, but now she's quitting.

::sigh:: I'll just have to watch Benoit vs Jericho instead :P

I must kill Ernie... never ever say you'd want to see them wrestle, or the Terrorists and Vince McMahon win!

C'mon, you know you want to see that match. They could have it on WrestleMania and put the Cruiserweight title match on Heat ;)

What the hell did she do to her hair?????????????

Scrooge McSuck - February 10, 2005 08:59 PM (GMT)
Eh... she wasn't that good looking clothed to begin with.

I disagree, I always thought she looked adorable in bikinis.
