Title: TNA EWR Diary by Infinite Devil Machine
Description: I keep a diary, but I'm not gay. Really.

Infinite Devil Machine - September 19, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately for the wrestling world at large, at some point after TNA: Total Nonstop Action's initial creation, head-man, world champion, and the man who was inadverdently cause for the creation of the term "puppies" in wrestling, Jeff Jarrett would step-down from his position in management, citing his need to focus on his in-ring work as TNA world champion.

This would lead to the hiring of messageboard poster, sexual deviant, and all-around good guy, Infinite Devil Machine as TNA's new head booker.

TNA has always been about crossing the line. But, many insiders feel IDM crossing the line from messagboard loser to booker is a bit too much to swallow. But like untalented women wrestlers trying to get a job IDM is forcing them to swallow. And he's starting.....

Segment 1: On X-Plosion the fans are screwed out of seeing a free match, as AJ Styles is in the ring cutting a promo:

AJ Styles: "The X-Division's never been about weight limits, its always been about no-limits. And I've never limited myself to titles I think I can win. I know I can win any damn belt I put my mind to, and I have. That's why I'm TNA world champion and not that prick Jeff Jarrett."

*Jarrett's music hits, to a chorus of boos and chants of "you're a prick" from TNA fans in attendance.

Jarrett: "'Ya know what Styles, I think you might be gettin' a little too big for your britches, boy. Now if you wanna call 'ol Double J a prick than go right ahead. You can call me anything, just don't call me dumb. Because before your fluke win over me to get that belt, I added a little something to our contract. That being a rematch clause, AJ. And I'm cashing in right now. Tonight on the pay-per-view, you and me. We're gonna do it one more time.

*Styles accepts.

TNA NEWS

The old rumor mill is pumping overtime now, as TNA gains a new promoter and booker, as well as a new world champion. But that's not the only big changes to hit TNA this week.

* We have confirmed, through our anonymous wrestling news ninjas (no, not Al Snow as Shinobi....) that TNA have signed independent standout Samoa Joe as well as former WCW and Japan all-star Vader. Expect them both to appear soon.

* CM Punk, yet to be used under IDM's new reign of terror, is apparently being retooled as a face. Expect Alexis Laree to be packaged with him.

* Independent female wrestler Buffy has been signed. Expect her to debut with a "valley girl" type character. So far TNA denies signing any vampires for her to slay.

* Despite rumors to the contrary, Terry Funk does not appear to be interested in coming to TNA to feud with Shane Douglas.

Match 1: Chris Sabin © Time Limit Drew Low Ki in an X-Division Title Match

Incredible match to kick off TNA this week; Sabin and Ki take it straight to each other with a series of forearms and martial arts kicks. Ki takes over a couple minutes in with a nasty kick to Sabin's neck. He wrenches away at it trying to wear Sabin down for the Dragon Sleeper. Sabin makes a comeback, standing up out of a front-facelock, and almost murdering Low Ki with a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge for two. Sabin follows up, hitting his usual stuff, but it fails to put Ki away. Ki avoids Sabin's corner dropkick causing him to crash and burn. Sabin avoids a flying doublestomp by rolling through and German suplexing Ki overhead, but Ki lands on his feet and kicks out the back of Sabin's legs. Ki manages to wrench in the Dragon Sleeper, Sabin counters the DS into a Futureshock, Ki lands on his feet out of the Futureshock, and locks in a front sleeper submission. James Mitchell (standing in front of Abyss): "This man; no, this monster, with the correct and unflinching guidance will be unstoppable. But, until now, Abyss has yet to gain the guidance he needs to truly channel his destructive abilities. He's a cat who's been de-clawed; but I'm here to replace those claws with machine guns. Postmatch: Abyss bloodies BG with a series of punches and throws him over the top. BG does a dead sell on the floor as Abyss stomps his head onto a chair.

Match 3: The Harris Boys (Ron Harris/Don Harris) deaf. TNA Tag-Team Champions America's Most Wanted (James Storm/Chris Harris) in a non-title match

Surprisingly decent stuff from The Harris Boys of all people; The Harris Boys isolate Chris Harris with their brawling stuff but fail to finish him off. Harris counters a Harris suplex with one of his own but gets decked with a Harris clothesline before he can make the tag. The Harris boys isolate Harris and go for the "H-Bomb" but Harris battles his way out and makes the tag. The less confusingly named James Storm hits the ring and cleans house in Ricky Morton fashion, but gets cut off. Before the Harris Boys can finish off Storm, Chris Harris hits a flying clothesline on Ron Harris. Don Harris tries a suplex on Storm but eats a kick to the gut, and Storm cradles him for two. David attacks the legs with a chopblock, and wrenches in a spinning toehold. Jarrett bails and David follows him out to the floor. David blocks a few punches and backdrops Jarrett onto the concrete. He chops away, as Jarrett backpedals and eventually takes over by leveraging Flair into the ring post using his t-shirt. Jarrett throws Flair back inside and he pounds and stomps away, stopping to taunt, not taking David seriously at all. David rolls up Jarrett for two. Flair doesn't let up; he hits a long series of cradles and pin attempts but can't put Jarrett away. Back standing; David chops the shit out of Jarrett. Jarrett recoils into the corner and begs off, David doesn't back down and pounds the hell out of Jarrett with headlocked punches, Ric Flair style. Jarrett counters by shoving David into the referee, knocking him down. Jarrett hits David with "The Stroke" but can't get the three because the ref is out. Jarrett attempts to take advantage with a chair, but David catches him with a dropkick to the chair into Jarrett's face. But again, no ref. David picks up the chair and looks at it, but throws it down. Jarrett finishes things succinctly moments later with a low blow and a Stroke for the pin.

I'm not into EWR diaries...but I changed the thread title so people can see what it is when displayed on the main page.

Before, you would just see: "Infinite Devil Machin..."

So I modified it so someone can see "TNA EWR Diary by Infinite D..." Might help a bit.

X-Plosion Pre-Show

Match 1: Chris Sabin © deaf. Amazing Red, Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper to retain his TNA X-Division title.

Pretty damn fantastic spotfest to start out TNA's weekly Pay-per-view this week, with Chris Sabin defending his TNA X-Division title in a four-way, one fall to a finish match.

To start; Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper dominate Sabin and Red with a series of high-impact double-team maneuvers. Sabin battles back with a springboard dropkick that decks Daniels. Skipper locks in an Oklahoma Roll, but Daniels breaks it up at a long two. Daniels and Skipper begin battling each other, each man trading hard hitting kicks and forearms. Sabin and Red square off with in much the same manner with Sabin dominating. A cool spot comes toward the middle of the match when Sabin whips Red from one corner and Daniels whips Skipper across from the opposite corner with Red leapfrogging Skipper, hitting a huricanranna with a cradle on Daniels and Sabin getting a cool looking rollup on Daniels. Finally to cap it all off, both men break their own pincovers to break up the other man's. The finish comes, after the prerequisite "tower of doom" spot, with Sabin taking a double powerbomb from Daniels and Skipper and Red eating a top-rope suplex from Sabin. Skipper and Daniels try to finish off Sabin with some double-team stuff, but Sabin avoids a running Skipper charge into the corner by jumping through the first and second rope. Sabin finishes things by hitting a springboard clothesline on Skipper, and pinning Daniels with the Futureshock after countering the Angel's Wings.

Segment 1: TNA's Wednesday night delight begins with Sabin still celebrating his victory in the ring. Low Ki jumps Sabin and lays him out with several nasty looking kicks to the chest and head. Sabin is bloodied as Ki double stomps a chair onto his chest from the top rope.

Ouch... :)

EWR Rating: 67%

Segment 2: Low Ki is backstage explaining his actions to TNA officials and the audience;

Low Ki: "Yes, I know what I did is probably wrong. I left a human being bloodied and broken in the ring. But I have my reasons; since I've come to TNA I've been overlooked and underutilized, I've been passed over for title shots and all that *bleep*, and I'm *bleeping* sick of it. That's why I made the "Impact" I did. Now Sabin, if you're not a pussy, you'll give me a goddamn title shot. I normally fight with "honor", friend, and its about time you do too."

EWR Rating: 68%

Match 2: Low Ki deaf. D'Lo Brown

A really good match here, oddly enough; D'Lo takes it to the younger Low Ki, taking over in the early going with a series of high-impact moves. D'Lo gets a great looking nearfall by countering a 'ranna into a sit-out powerbomb. Low Ki begins to take over toward the end hitting a series of hard kicks to the gut and legs. Ki tries for a knockout kick to the head, but D'Lo ducks and gets a loooooong two count with a German suplex. D'Lo's end comes when he tries for the Lo-Down off the top and Ki gets his knees up. With D'Lo flat on the mat, Ki finishes things off with a simple, quick kick to the side of the temple for the pinfall.

Damn, that's nasty....

EWR Rating: 75, 72, 79

Match 3: CM Punk deaf. Kid Kash

Another good, if kinda short match;

Punker and Kash start off going through a quick series of chain-wrestling moves. Kash works over the left arm of Punk ramming it into the ringpost. After a brief heat sequence arm work, Punk makes a comeback with his hard hitting () knees and forearm blows. Punk gets nearfall off a running knee in the corner. Punk shoves Kash back into the corner and nails another one, this time attempting to follow it up with a running bulldog, but Kash counters with a hammerlock back-suplex on Punk's injured arm. Kash locks in a Fujiwara armbar in the dead center of the ring, Punk gets to the ropes to break it. Kash gets a little pissed off and doesn't release the hold, the referee pulls him off allowing Punk time to pull himself up to standing. Kash comes back on the attack, but Punk decks him with a high kick to the side of the head. Kash gets up to his knees and Punk simply kicks the shit out of him. Kash however, ducks a big spinkick and dumps Punk on his head with a pumphandle suplex for a long two. Kash returns the favor from moments ago by kicking away at Punk with hard kicks to the chest, Punk stops the assault by catching Kash's foot and pulling him into a spinning backfist, that gives Punk enough time to "Kash out" with an odd looking Knee to the head out of a fireman's carry position for the pin.

EWR Rating: 82, 64, 100 (No, I'm not lying. I like Punk, but Kash was never this good in real life. That's why I love EWR....)

Segment 3: Raven versus Jeff Jarrett for the TNA world title is announced for tonight via a video package.

* Raven is in an undisclosed location; that location being a dark room with what appears to be an old wooden coffee table, an old-school counsel TV and a shitty rotted old couch.

Raven: "Jarrett, look at this; this hell-hole is what I call home. I don't like calling it home, but TNA's not paying me a pittance compared to what they're payin' you, Jeff. They're payin' you championship pay. Me: I'm on the low end of an open contract. Why do you think I signed this contract? You think its because I wanna sleep on a sofa that smells like old dog piss and looks like the inside of a 70-year old woman's c**t? Hell no, it's because my contract guaranteed me a title shot against you Jeff. For once its not "what about me?", tonight its all about you Jeff... and your title."

Match 4: America's Most Wanted © (Chris Harris/James Storm) deaf. The Harris Boys (Ron Harris/Don Harris) in a tables match to retain their TNA Tag-Team Titles

Pretty much a punchy/kicky brawl, with The Harrississes dominating with their brawling style for the most part. There's all the typical table-spots including the prerequisite "move the table before your partner is superplexed through it", and such stuff. The end comes when The Harris Boys have Chris Harris in position for an "H-Bomb" through the table. Storm clocks one Harris (who knows which -- they look alike you know) with a superkick, and he and Chris Harris put the remaining Harris through a table with the Death Sentence.

Segment 4: Dick Togo hype video; Togo is shown in black and white footage ripping into people in Japan, with blood highlighted in bright red to emphasize the level of violence.

The TNA audience doesn't respond well, apparently not knowing who Dick Togo is. But at least some people are laughing at his name... dick,

Main Event: Jeff Jarrett © deaf. Raven in a hardcore match to retain the TNA World Title

Another great match, with TNA bookers making this a hardcore match moments before the entrance of Raven. Raven however comes down with a shopping cart full of weapons. Raven and Jarrett brawl in the entrance way, with Raven dominating Jarrett for the most part. Raven hits a snap-suplex on the floor. Raven pounds away with several weapons, including various street signs and assorted hardcore junk. The TNA fans show their loyalty to Raven by chanting "ECW" as he smashes Jarrett into the ringside barricade with a kendostick assisted Russian legsweep. That gets two. Raven continues his assault, throwing Jarrett into the ring and pounding away. Raven goes for a chairshot, but Jarrett catches him low for, literally, his first offensive move of the match. Jarrett pounds on Raven with some of his generic brawling stuff, both inside and outside the ring. On the floor Jarrett whips Raven to the barricade and works him over with a kendostick. Jarrett attempts high risk, by coming off the ring apron with an axehandle, but Raven moves and Jarrett crashes and burns. On the floor Raven takes over, whipping Jarrett from coast-to-coast. Raven clotheslines himself and Jarrett into the crowd. They brawl through the crowd, and up into the arena's concession area. In the concession area, Raven scores a kneelift and a swinging neckbreaker on the concrete. That gets two. Back up, Raven hammers Jarrett onto a glass popcorn heater. Raven lays Jarrett out on it, and climbs a conveniently placed ladder. Jarrett avoids a Raven splash, and Raven puts himself through the glass.

Ouch...

That only gets two for Jarrett. Back up, Jarrett hammers Raven back toward the steps back into the arena. Jarrett grabs a shard of broken glass. Raven avoids a violent stabbing death, and backdrops Jarrett down the steps. Jarrett literally rolls down every step as Raven stands at the top doing his "Christ Pose" before following him down.

Back inside the ring, Raven pounds on Jarrett, literally snapping his kendostick over Jarrett's back. Raven finally decides to finish things with his drop toehold onto the chair. Jarrett however, turns it around quickly by jumping over the toehold and "Stroking" Raven throat-first onto the top of the open chair for the pin.

Postmatch: A Bloodied Jeff Jarrett mocks Raven's "Christ pose" as he clutches his belt and Raven lays on the mat holding his throat. Moments later AJ Styles hits the ring, laying waste to Jarrett with a steel chair and hitting Raven with the "Spiral Tap" to close out the show.

X-Plosion Pre-Show

Match 1: Chris Sabin © deaf. Kid Kash to retain his X-Division Title

Kash, fresh off his loss against CM Punk on TNA's last show is given an X-Division title shot. Why? I dunno. It just seemed like the right idea at the time.

Sabin and The Original K-I-D start off with some basic chain wrestling stuff, with Kash dominating for the most part. He tries to work over Sabin's right arm, but Sabin fights back. Sabin breaks an armbar with a few left-armed forearm shots. Sabin gets a pretty long run of high impact offense, but can't put Kash away. Kash takes over after a couple minutes when Sabin misses his "hesitation dropkick" in the corner and lands on his injured arm. Kash tosses Sabin outside and posts his injured arm. He whips him from coast to coast and Sabin hits the rail. Kash charges, but Sabin elevates him over the rail. Sabin hits a running flipping-front senton, Jerry Lynn style, into the crowd. Sabin throws Kash back inside and hits a springboard dropkick. That gets two. Sabin hits a snap-suplex with his left arm. He tries to follow up with a left-arm backsuplex, but Kash flips out of it and catches Sabin with a jumping knee to the face. Apparently he's learned some stuff from Punk... Kash whips Sabin into the corner and tries for a running knee and connects for two. Back up, Kash kicks Sabin and attempts a tornado DDT, by springing off the second rope, but Sabin counters by dumping him on his neck with a nasty Northern Lights. That gets two. Sabin tries to finish things off with the Futureshock, but Kash hammers and fights his way out. He catches Sabin with a hard knee to the gut, and several kicks to the legs. Sabin gets whipped into the corner, Kash charges but is elevated into a DVD position and gets fucking flattened. That gets two. Sabin tries to finish Kid off with a top-rope maneuver, but Kash kicks him off and DDT's him from the top. Sabin sells it, looking like a an exclamation point, before crumpling to the mat. That only gets two. The finish comes moments later, with Kash setting Sabin up on the top rope. Sabin fights his way out and hits Kash with a top-rope brainbuster (I don't need to tell you that's DAAAAAAAANNNNGGGGEERRROOUUUSSSS, do I?) for the win.

Segment 1: AJ Styles is backstage in catering; he's eating a donut (peanut, for the record) and drinking some coffee until The Extreme Horseman jump him and beat the hell out of him. To add insult to injury, The Necro Butcher even pours coffee on him.

(I hope he doesn't put the balm on...)

Poor AJ; the guy can't even eat a damn donut in peace....

Match 2: 3 Live Krew (Konnan/Ron Killings) deaf. The Harris Boys (Ron Harris/Don Harris) and XX2 (Christopher Daniels/Elix Skipper) in a triple threat ladder match for the TNA Tag-Team Title number one contendership

Damn, that's a long title.

Anyway this thing's your typical six-man tag-team ladder match clusterfuck. Daniels and Skipper do their share of cool high-flying stuff. The Harris boys brawl with everyone. Killings does some neat shit and Konnan... well... he's pretty much just Konnan. The finish comes when Skipper and Daniels bring in a second ladder, as Ron Harris and Konnan fight on the first ladder, Don Harris powerbombs Konnan to the mat. Skipper and Daniels use their second ladder to knock Don Harris over the top rope down to the floor (Oh my God! He actually took a bump!) Skipper and Daniels set up their ladder next to the original one, and both men try to climb up on the same side of each ladder. Konnan recovers in time to score a double lowblow on both Skipper and Daniels and pull them both down. Killings finishes both men off with a double axekick, allowing Konnan to grab the contract and win the match.

Match 3: Abyss deaf. D'Lo Brown

Dude, Abyss has got the real deal now.... for about four minutes.

D'Lo controls the early moments of the match with his normal stuff, but Abyss powers his way back into it. D'Lo scores a nearfall with a swinging neckbreaker when Abyss sets early off a whip. Back up, D'Lo ducks a big boot and hits a jumping back-heel kick. He hits three running clotheslines. Abyss swings for the fences with a big clothesline, but D'Lo gets a backslide for two. Back up, Abyss recovers and D'Lo charges straight into a Blackhole Slam. Abyss gets the easy pin.

Segment 2: It's VADER TIME!

Vader is shown beating the crap out of some meat (get your mind out of the gutter...) in a meat packing plant. He's maskless, wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. He turns to the camera and says simply, "In a couple weeks it'll be Vader time. And this time, there's no stopping me."

Segment 3: THE CHAMP IS HERE...

Cut back to the Impactzone; the lights are down and the crowd is buzzing. Suddenly, the lights come up with Vince Russo in the center of the ring. He's got the stick, and he speaks rather simply; "TNA fans, please welcome Samoa Joe!"

Joe's music hits as he comes out to the top of the stage, wearing a Ring Of Honor shirt and blue jeans. Joe walks to the ring and shakes hands with Russo.

And the IWC explodes....

Segment 4: Hype video for the Jeff Jarrett/Raven/AJ Styles main event.

Raven is shown in that same shitty room he did his promo in on the last show. "Jarrett, you hick, you got lucky. The only reason you beat me, was because I got careless."

Raven kicks over the shitty TV. "But it's not gonna happen again."

AJ Styles is in an empty arena, sitting in the empty bleachers. "Jeff, you rotten piece of garbage. You stole my damn title from me, you cheated and you lied like a dog to steal it from me. You know you can't beat me straight-up. I started my career in the X-Division. I'm not about weight limits; I'm about no limits. And I'll have no limits when it comes to what I'll do to you, and Raven for that matter, to take that title away from you."

Jeff Jarrett is shown boarding a private jet. "AJ, Raven; I'll give it to you; you're both damn good at what you do. Styles, you fly like my plane. Raven, you're more hardcore than most porn stars. But, neither of you has what it takes to take my title away from me. You're good, but neither of you are "Double-J" good."

"Now chew on that slapnuts."

Match 4: CM Punk deaf. BG James

Pretty close to being a straight-up squash match. BG dominates with his usual shit in the early going. A minute or so later Punk counters the Pumphandle slam by floating down behind. He finishes BG off with a couple spinning backfist shots, a round-kick and a high-kick to the temple and the G2S in short order.

Main Event: Jeff Jarrett © deaf. Raven and AJ Styles in a hardcore triple-threat match to retain his TNA World Title

A really great main event for TNA this week; the match starts on the floor with Raven and Jarrett pretty much brawling, like their match from last week never ended. AJ Styles however, hit the ringside area. He and Raven double-team Jarrett, but, Jarrett doesn't go down. As Styles and Raven argue, Jarrett shoves hits Styles with a trashcan and nails Raven with it too. Jarrett whips Styles into the ringpost, busting him open. In the ring Jarrett unfolds a chair and sets Raven up for another Stroke to the throat. Raven however counters with a rollup for two. Raven takes over on Jarrett with his usual hardcore stuff, hitting Jarrett with all manner of plunder. Raven tries for his corner clothesline, but Jarrett ducks. Meanwhile, a recovered AJ Styles hits Raven with his springboard forearm shot. Styles goes on the attack on Jarrett. Styles dropdown dropkick combo sends Jarrett out to the floor. A dropkick also sends Raven outside. Styles scores with a big running senton on both guys. Styles tries to cover Raven first, and only gets two. A pin on Jarrett also only gets two. Back up, Raven and Styles are exchanging forearms and punches, but Jarrett hits lowblows both men. Jarrett whips Raven to the barricade. Jarrett whips Styles into the same barricade, but Styles counters by hitting a sweet looking Pele kick off the top of the barricade. Raven meanwhile hits AJ with a kendostick to the back as he's recovering and Russian legsweeps Styles into the barricade. Raven would try to finish off Jarrett with a Raven Effect, but Jarrett counters by dropping him throat first across the barricade. Back inside, Jarrett would try to finish Raven off with a Stroke across the top of the chair, but Raven would turn it and hit the Raven Effect. That only got two for Raven. The finish would come when Raven attempts another Raven Effect on to a chair, but a recovered AJ Styles would interrupt it with his backflip DDT off the ropes. But before he could make the cover C Fuckin' Dub and The Necro Butcher would interfere and beat down Styles, first with a chair shot from Necro and a CW Anderson spinebuster.

Jarrett covers for the win, as Necro and CW run off leaving Styles in a bloody heap.
