Description: Sliding Doors

Well Hi there. I've been gone a long time. Truthfully I'd gotten so burned out on messageboards and infighting, plus the workload in my personal life that I just sort of drifted away. Hopefully I'll be posting a little bit more now

As for EWR, I pretty much gave up on it a little over a year ago. With the Benoit incident, I had now started three games, where one of my featured players had died, and I was just sick of it. This sort of thing doesn't happen in Football Manager you know

But a few weeks back - I've changed jobs and I have a little bit more free time, I sat down and fiddled around with a new version, intending to give it to someone else, and the ideas just flowed, and I'd like to think I've got some decent ideas in me. Whats interesting is I started "post-Unforgiven", and edited the game to reflect what I though would happen at the PPV. Obviously I had no idea what the creative direction of the show would be, so my version is a little different, and basically kicks off with the question - what if CM Punk retained at Unforgiven?

Note to some newbies who might not be familiar with my booking style

-I am HEAVILY biased in favour of Vince Russo as a booker. I am also in favour of heavyweights as opposed to cruiserweights, and talkers. Lots of talkers.

-Stupid shit used to happen a lot on my diaries, but I've tried to keep up the realism this time - i.e. - no stealing willy nilly from TNA. I've made only two roster purchases, both free agents I have however, dumped a lot of guys in developmental, but will use them where I see fit.

-I like HHH. Its difficult keeping guys like him heavily.

-I tend to hire and use Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas, regardless of wether I want/need them

The first show out is Smackdown, but I'm writing up Raw at the moment - the only thing I've outright dumped is Santino's Honka Meter, because its pretty unworkable (i.e. I'm too lazy to keep track) - so I'm changing it to something different, but equally as awesome.

More later as I see fit

Smackdown- 3rd October

Hardy def. The Big Show, MVP and Umaga in a four way match. It was unclear wether or not this was for any sort of number one contendership or not.

Carlito did an interview. He has a hair cut. And he's really, really bitter about being overlooked constantly.

Carlito defeated Matt Maverick. Maverick was Matt Bently, ex of TNA, but the announcers didn't make a big deal of him at all.

Hillbilly Jim was backstage with Jesse and Festus. Seems his going to be their new manager. I can't fathom why, it seemed a good idea at the time.

Video hyped Shelton Benjamin as the "Gold Standard". This was as bad as every other video package given to or for Benjamin.

R-Truth def. Brian Kendrick by DQ when Zeke interfered. After the match, when Truth was being beaten down, the lights went off and the Hurricane's music played. The lights came back on and Hurricane was in the ring, and gave Kendrick a chokeslam.

Hurricane gave an interview. His new name is THE GREEN HELM. (No, really. I work in a god-damn comic book shop and this was the best I could do)

Jim Ross announced that Ken Kennedy was returning from injury soon.

They cut to clips of a sit down interview with Edge. Part One airs next week. This is the dreaded "shoot interview" style that Ross does.

Khali, Curt Hawkins and Zack Rider def. HHH and Jesse and Festus when James Mitchell (from TNA) came down to the ring and distracted Jesse, who got nailed with the Khali CHOP. Hawkins and Ryder introduced Mitchell as James Vandenbergh. He laughed maniacally, and shook hands with Runjin Singh as Khali stood over HHH

Hey DAVE...welcome back, mate! (see, I'm trying to be somewhat personal by using a psuedo-English term).

D.A.V.E. - September 16, 2008 06:26 PM (GMT)
Which would be great if I was English!

Thanks man. More posting ( everywhere) soon.

Show started out in the parking lot, as Cole and Lawler gushed over Punk retaining the title. Punk was walking into the arena, when Randy Orton, Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes jumped him and assaulted him.

Santino beat Paul London to keep the IC Title and the Honka Meter alive. He then announced that since there was no competition for the belt, he was going to go back and beat every Intercontinental Champion. Ever. Beth produced a giant list, and he got started rattling them off, but they cut to commercial

JBL squashed D-Lo Brown. During the match, Cole reported that Santino had challenged Pat Patterson to a match next week.

Smackdown Jobber Matt Maverick came out for a match. Or in his case a job. Chris Jericho came out and got rid of the referee and Lillian. He announced to the arena that Maverick's "Real" name was Matt Michaels, and he was Shawn Michaels nephew. He got in Matt's face and asked him how it felt having HBK for an uncle, and was he pissed off that HBK had never used his "pull" to make Matt a big star, Matt said he'd become a big star on his own and socked Jericho in the jaw. Lance Cade came out of nowhere and took down Micheals, and the match started.

Matt Michaels def. Lance Cade. The idea of the match that Cade had more experiencee over the "jobber" and nearly had him beat when HBK ran out and superkicked Cade, and Matt pinned him. HBK put over Matt big time afterwards,

Iron Mike Adamle was backstage arguing with CM Punk, who wanted to wrestle in the ME despite being injured. Both shut up and were transfixed by the returning Melina.

Melina def. Mickie James in her return match

They showed a gruesome video of John Cena's neck surgery.

Randy Orton def. CM Punk in a non title match after hitting an RKO onto a steel chair. Before the match - the Orton/Dibiase/Rhodes triad were in the ring and Orton declared that the match would be rated NC-17 (the name of the stable, and I will get it over)

At the end of the match, Cryme Time came out and brawled with NC-17, and they all brawled back to the parking lot where the show started.

ECW Taping
-Miz and Morrison did a Live Dirt Sheet that went nowhere except to insult the American Gladiators (No, REALLY)
-Mark Henry def. Finlay in a Number One contenders match
-Video for Elijah Burke's new "reactionary preacher" gimmick
-Hawkins and Ryder def. Evan Bourne and Ricky Ortiz when James Vandenbergh hit Bourne with his cane.
-Tiffany and Lena Yada had a BRUTALLY bad argument over the assistant job
-In the Main Event, Tony Atlas def. Matt Hardy when Mark Henry attacked Matt before the bell had even rung

D.A.V.E. - November 16, 2008 06:47 PM (GMT)
James Vandenbergh did an interview from a plinth above the big screen. His gimmick is Tarot Cards. The idea is that he has a level of mental control over Hawjkins and Ryder.

Kennedy's music played. He got out of a limo, and went straight to the ring.

Mr. Kennedy def. Shelton Benjamin to win the US Title.

Hawkins, Ryder and Vandenbergh def. Hillbilly Jim, Jess and Festus when Vandenbergh drove his tarot cards into Jesse's throat, and Hawkins rolled him up.

R-Truth and The Green Helm~ def. Kendrick and Zeke.

Helms did a crack-induced interview after the match. He kept calling Truth "Kyle Rayner"

The Great Khali crushed A.Jobber.

Umaga and Carlito def. Big Show and Jeff Hardy. Still No Idea what to do with these guys.

Sit down interview with Edge. Early career stuff.

HHH def. Runjin Singh. Khali came out afterwards to brawl.

D.A.V.E. - November 18, 2008 01:30 PM (GMT)
Santino called out Pat Patterson. Reapetedly. Out came "Charlie Pat Hasserson". No, this isn't the way the angle is going to go.

Anyway, Santino beat Haas, and afterwards, Pat Patterson came out and gave Santino a rollicking over respecting the belt. So Santino decked him.

Cryme Time def. The Priceless Generation in a tag team title match, by DQ, when Randy Orton ran in and clonked JTG. Then, CM Punk ran in and they brawled, then,....

Randy Orton and the Priceless Generation def. CM Punk and Cryme Time when Orton pinned the WWE Champion. He showed them how its done, get it

Video about John Cena rehabbing his injury

Chris Jericho and Lance Cade def. Matt Micheals and HBK when Cade pinned Matt.

William Regal won a 10 man battle royal to get a title shot.

CM Punk def. William Regal

D.A.V.E. - November 18, 2008 01:32 PM (GMT)
MVP hosted the MVP Lounge with the US Champion, Kennedy. After a heated discussion, MVP used Shelton Benjamin's music to distract Kennedy, and nail him in the back.

R-Truth, Green Helm, Jesse and Festus def. Brian Kendrick, Ezekial, Hawkins and Ryder when Vandenbergh accidentaly nailed Ryder with his cane and Truth followed up with the axe kick. The idea is that Vandenbergh is favouring Hawkins over Ryder, and trying to turn him into something different. A brawl kicked off between Hilbilly Jim and Vandenbergh, and this time, Hawkins jammed the cane into Jim's throat, and Vandenbergh pinned him.

Miz and Morrison beat the crap out of Ricky Ortiz and Evan Bourne backstage. Ortiz will have to find a partner for Sunday after Bourne was put in an ambulance.

MVP and Great Khali def. Triple H and Kennedy when MVP pinned Kennedy using the ropes.

After the angle on ECW, Mark Henry and Tony Atlas assaulted the Hardy's dad backstage.

Part Two of the Edge interview.

Elijah Burke returns at the PPV.

Kendrick won a 10 Man Battle Royal to get a title shot.

Triple H def. Kendrick, but after the match, Khali came out and gave him the tree slam.
