Title: Best match of 1997?

Real F'n Show - February 5, 2005 04:08 AM (GMT)
A lot of good matches happened during the course of this year. In fact, my two favorite matches of all time happened this year, my favorite being Mysterio vs. Guerrero at Havoc 97 and my second favorite being Austin vs. Bret from Mania. Also you had Kobashi vs. Misawa from 1/20, The Canadian Stampede 10-man, and the first ever Hell in a Cell match. So what's your pick for best match from this year? I think I'll stick with Guerrero/Mysterio. God I love that match.

I disagree. Bret vs. Austin all the way, bitch. However, no way would I pick UT/Michaels. It basically was Undertaker no selling and destroying Shawn for 30 minutes until Kane cost him the match.

Misawa-Kobashi 1/20 is a lock. A top ten match of all time for me.

Your preaching to the choir. Ditto for me......

Back then, I only really watch WWF and WCW...WWF mostly. I'd also have to go with Hart vs. Austin at WMXIII. It's the one that stands out most in my mind for 1997.

Hart vs Austin is my second favorite WWF match ever. Behind Warrior/Savage from WM7.
