Since we were talking about the new AWA world title belt earlier, I thought you guys might find it interesting that since CWF has become AWA's mid-Atlantic territory, they are using a knock-off of the old MACW heavyweight title. Even more interesting is that the original MACW was of course affiliated with NWA, not AWA. Even more intereting is that the NWA affliate still exists. To add to the confusion MACW doesn't really run in the mid-Atlantioc region anymore, all there recent shows have been in Asia.

Just thought you might find that interesting.

Oh, yeah, photo courtesy of indyinsiders.com as if it doesn't say it big enough on the picture itself.

Those belts are ugly.

I love the old Mid-Atlantic belt. It may just be nostalgia though.

Here's a large gallery of guys who wore the belt.

I always loved the way that belt looked, but it kinda feels dirty now that AWA is claiming it.

Here's my question: How do you run shows in Asia and call yourself "Mid-Atlantic.?"

whitemilesdavis - February 5, 2005 06:54 PM (GMT)
My point exactly. The only shows they've done in the last two years have been tours of Korea and China.
