Title: Kaz Requests & is Granted Release from TNA?
Description: I wouldn't blame him...
KSSassy - July 22, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
Several news sites are reporting that today Kaz asked for and was granted a release by TNA. Kaz will fulfill his current commitments with TNA before departing. The story was supposedly posted on the TNA official site and then was removed. Kaz is supposed to be on Karen Angle's talk show to talk about it. There are rumors that this is a "work" to build more interest in Kaz. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Kaz is one of the roster members worth seeing. TNA gives him a mediocre push and then they don't have him in the ring again for weeks.

Only problem is, he walked away from WWE not long ago. He's pretty much out of options.

:o Kaz was in WWE?
It must have been during my "I am NOT watching this stuff anymore" phase.

I think it was in summer, 2005. He wrestled maybe three TV matches on "Velocity" as Frankie "The Future" Kazarian.

He sucks. So does TNA. Match made in heaven?
whitemilesdavis - July 22, 2008 01:29 PM (GMT)
He was in WWE and was held back because he wouldn't cut his hair. He finally relented and cut it, but asked for a release shortly thereafter.
I don't think he sucks, but I also don't think he's gonna ever stay focused long enough to reach any potential.

I thought he reached his highest peak a few years ago. Since then I haven't seen anything out of him that shows he's going to be a star or anything of the sorts. He's had repeated chances in TNA to get over and nothing came of it. At this point he's stupid to ask for his release because the only thing I see him getting is indy work.

WHAT!?! Actually, if I was Kaz and they consistently teased me for World Title runs only to have me job to Angle and Christian every week, I'd walk out, too.

Kaz should have NEVER went over either of them. If anything he shouldn't have been in that place at all. It's not a push, it was a un-buyable hotshot. They didn't tease shit either as there was no way that ANYONE outside of pure marks actually bought that he would be World Champion.

Well that's what I meant! Geez! Apparently I just used the wrong wording. Please disregard my post up there and substitute DK's words for my own. :)

Just to let you folks know-
Kaz isn't really leaving;

| To put the speculation to rest, Frankie "Kaz" Kazarian's apparent departure from TNA is indeed a storyline/angle. He's really not leaving TNA, despite the announcement they put up on the company website. To play up the storyline, his profile has been removed from the website. |

It's just more of Russo's worked shoot business. Yay?
whitemilesdavis - July 25, 2008 12:09 PM (GMT)
Well, it's the most interest I've seen in Kaz in a few years.
dynamite kido - July 25, 2008 02:20 PM (GMT)
Or isn't it just funny because nobody really cares if it's a work or if he was really fired?

Kaz is more popular with the crowd of people who actually likes TNA than people around here would expect. He's become a celebrated upper-midcarder.
