Nitpicky, but Bravo's attempt was 715 pounds :P
Also, with all the details you mix in, I'm a little surprised you didn't mention that Steamboat took over for Paul Orndorf in his feud against Rick Rude. A goofy issue over who had the better body from Sept 1987. The angle was switched to just "two guys who don't like each other", but Steamboat-- ever the pro-- kept a little bit of the "better body" crap in it. Which explains why he stopped to pose when Rude bailed, early in the match.
There was some mild build-up for the match, as well. I remember Steamboat wrestling (I think) Rude on an episode of "Wrestling Challenge" a few weeks before. It ended when Hercules and Harley Race ran in for a DQ. Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Ultimate Warrior made the save for Steamboat.

Great info man. Thanks...I don't think I realized all that.
I knew that Orndorff bailed mid feud, but didn't really pick up on Steamboat taking over for him.
