WTF? Apparently they wanted the All Asia tag titles to be the equivalent worth of aluminum foil.....

Buchanan is pretty talented actually.
Not amazing talented, but he's better than, say......Sylvain Grenier

I wouldn't disagree with him being better than Grenier, but I would disagree with the whole Buchanan being talented thing. He's a fucking awful waste in the ring.....

I never said he was Benoit in there, but he has a grasp of things.
Has anyone noticed though, that ever since he's been gone, the standard of big lunk in the ring has gone up - guys like Abyss, Batista and Tyson Tomko have come along and recieved praise (I like Tomko, sue me), which back in Bull's day, he was shit upon.
Furthermore, can anyone name that guy Bull was in a tag team a few years back, they split off from the Truth Commission.

Considering that everyone of the hosses you named except for MAYBE Tomko is better than Bull.........it's not that surprising to me.

I've actually seen Bull on a few indy shows in the last year where he was very good. Solid mat based wrestling with some very nice offense. One match in particular against Dru D'lite in Gaffney, SC was very, very good. Ihated the guy in WWE, but if another company would let him do what I've seen him do on the indies, I'd love to see him.

I think it was the WWF that made Buccanon suck for the most part. They seemed to just strip any of his good moves away. He also seemed to get less and less agile there as well.
whitemilesdavis - February 2, 2005 09:20 PM (GMT)
In NACW he was ding all this top rope crap, including walkig to the middle of the top rope and doing a Buff Blockbuster type thing. Another good one was if someone whipped him into the corner, he would do the whole running up the turnbuckles thing, and then do thid spinning clothesline thing off the top. Very impressive for a guy his size. He had also refined his look a lot. He was ripped.

I thought that he showed promise in the WWE around the time where he was with the Bossman. I've seen some of his stuff in All Japan and I'll be honest......he fucking blew ass. IMO, he's terrible and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
whitemilesdavis - February 2, 2005 09:33 PM (GMT)
I've seen none of the Japan stuff, but his indy stuff of late has been impressive. If I were starting a company right now, he'd be on the short list of guys I'd hire. He's not on the level of Brock, or maybe even Batista, but I'd put him above Abyss and all the other hosses in WWE.

Roughly Obsess And Destroy.
The angle, in case anyone is curious, is that TAKA wants to destroy ALL Japan, but everyone there hates him to begin with, so he used his connections "in New York" to bring in ex-WWE guys. There's a reason they're all American
You gotta admit, that's a sweet angle
dynamite kido - February 3, 2005 10:13 PM (GMT)
Oh, it's a good angle. Too bad apparently all his connections in "New York" hate him too though with a crew like that.

Observation - both Rico and Kea need to do something with their Hair

I think that was Kurgyn. He was in Truth Commission with Bull when they were known as Recon and Sniper I believe.
And why isn't Stamboli part of TAKA's group? He's ex-WWE.
D.A.V.E. - February 4, 2005 02:22 AM (GMT)
It def. wasn't Kurrgan. Bull and this guy, Pierre something, split off from Kurrgan and Don Callis

They brought him in and tried to make him the "New Great Muta" complete with mask and everything. Then they found out that Stamboli wasn't good enough to carry the feud between the new Muta and Keiji Muto so they dropped the angle.

When RICO, BULL BUCHANON, AND JAMAL/EKMO have titles at the same time, something the fuck is wrong with the bookers brain.
For the record, Tyson Tomko is definitely the worst wrestler on RAW... except for Sylvain Grenier.
