Background:

In June 2008, the first ever Gold Rush PPV took place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.


The set-up:

Every promotion sent their champions to put their titles on the long in open challenges. Not all of the challenges were answered by wrestlers from the same promotion, nor were all the challenges answered interpromotionally. All the champions were caught by surprise and taken out of their elements as all of the titles changed hands that night. Also, there were rumors the European, Hardcore, Cruiserweight, and Pure titles might be reactivated at the Gold Rush PPV.

The PPV:

Book all the matches in any format you like: which titles are defended; by match order, who opens and who main events; what kinds of matches they were, 1-on-1, Triple Threat, Battle Royal, Cage, gimmick, etc.; and who answers the Open Challenges and is crowned the new Champion.
