Title: Latest ROH Press Release
Description: Ring of Honor - Respect is Earned

KSSassy - June 20, 2008 12:52 PM (GMT)
It has been a very busy few weeks for Ring Of Honor and it will set up an even busier summer. Here is a recap of everything that's going on:

-There are over 120 ROH DVDs on sale for only $10 each now at www.ROHwrestling.com including several new remasters featuring CM Punk like "Best Of CM Punk Vol. 1" and "Joe vs. Punk II" with the five star Joe vs. Punk match.

-Ring Of Honor is entering two new major markets. The 7/25 Toronto debut event is already a huge success as almost 10 rows of ringside seats have been sold. November 7th will see ROH debut in Montreal. Tickets go on sale this Tuesday at 11am at ROHwrestling.com. ROH will have an important second show in Manassas, VA on 8/1. ROH will debut in Coral Springs, FL on 10/10 and return to Orlando 10/11. This is only ROH's second trip to Florida.

-ROH will return to Japan for two more shows on 9/13 & 14 in Tokyo. Both shows will be at Differ Ariake. The tour will feature the Japanese debuts of ROH World Tag Team Champions Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black. ROH's Vice President was in Japan last week to hold a formal press conference to announce the tour.

-ROH's top officials and AAA's top officials recently met face-to-face in Manhattan, NY to discuss talent exchanges and other ventures. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but talks have been very positive. It looks like partnership is developing between ROH, AAA and Pro Wrestling NOAH. ROH also has Dragon Gate, FIP and SHIMMER as partners. The NWA World Heavyweight Title is also now in ROH. This means that ROH has working relationships with NOAH, Dragon Gate, FIP, SHIMMER, NWA and a growing one with AAA.

-ROH's summer will feature a number of special guests to help keep things fresh including Jerry Lynn on 6/28 in Chicago and Lance Storm on 7/25 in Toronto and 7/26 in Detroit. Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin will compete on 8/1 in Manasses and 8/2 in Manhattan. Naomichi Marufuji will join ROH for a one week tour that will include 7/25, 7/26, 8/1 & 8/2.

-ROH's next national DVDs will be released in FYE and retail stores everywhere on July 8th. They are Ring Of Honor "Best In The World" and "Greatest Rivalries" from KOCH Vision. Both DVDs feature Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Mick Foley and many others.

-Look for ROH to increase its internet presence soon. Details are on their way.

-ROH's next pay-per-view is "Respect Is Earned II" and it will premiere on August 1st on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. Bryan Danielson and Austin Aries are featured in the advertising.

-Independent standout Kenny Omega from Canada will debut on 7/25 in Toronto and 7/26 in Detroit.

-ROH will have its last events for one month on June 27th in Dayton and June 28th in Chicago. Tickets are now available for under $10 as part of The Big 10 Sale at ROHwrestling.com.

-"Death Before Dishonor VI" will be a one night event this year. It will be August 2nd at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, NY. The first two matches signed are Kevin Steen & El Generico vs. Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin and Naomichi Marufuji vs. Go Shiozaki.

-Thank you for reading this ROH press release.

Steen/Generico vs. MCMG? Awesome. Awesome to the max.

With a potential partnership with RoH and AAA, I bet see El Mesias, Mistico, and Charly Manson.

I heard Charley was out for the rest of the year with a knee injury. I like Mesias but I'm not sure he's what ROH will be looking for -- unless they allow him to wrestle. I don't see them setting up his monster angle. Mistico would be certain as would Charley if he's physically able. There are some great fliers in AAA. It could be a great swap. I watched a match on You Tube earlier today -- Mesias & Ozz vs. Jack Evans & Teddy Hart. I don't know how Jack Evans can spend so much time in the air. It was a decent match but with Mesias not being able to do many things in the way of "wrestling", I'm not sure the ROH fans would enjoy him. Ozz did a decent job and Hart was okay, but not as good as Evans.
