Can someone please explain to me this Million Dollar thing of McMahon's? I'm really just too lazy to do the work to figure it out myself.

Thanks!

Nobody (including Vince) knows.

Every time he talks about it, the details seem to change. Right now, I think the idea is that if you register at WWE.com, you might get a phone call during the next live Raw, asking you for a special code that would be revealed on the air. If you know the code word, then you win some money.

Didn't they have some bullcrap like this, leading into SummerSlam 1997? The whole thing was "a chance to win a Million Dollars!!"

So the big day arrived and some clown got to spin a big ol' Wheel of Fortune thing--- with something like ONE winning slot and 51 non-winning slots. I think they sent him home with a free t-shirt and a hug from Sunny.

I think I read this over at the Observer over the last few days.

I heard that when you register that they want your phone number. They said it's to basically use your phone number to gauge something with sales on WWE.com.

So basically they are doing this to configure sales or some shit on their webstore.

Hell, that's enough for me.

A million dollars is just a million dollars, but getting close to a still-hot Tammy Sytch's tits? Well, that's just priceless.

I can't believe anyone thought that wasting that much on air time was a good idea

Do you mean with the contest or the wrestling?

For the purpose of the thread, the contest.

Well, this idea tanked. Raw did a 3.03.

I still think some people are panicking too much in regards to the lower ratings. There was an article recently that listed Raw as one of the top DVRed programs, and that takes away from the ratings we see posted on news sites. While I'm sure that the ratings would have gone down anyhow, it baffles me that no one is taking the DVR numbers seriously.

DVR and Tivo are two things that networks hate. It eats up their ad revenue considering people who Tivo or DVR something do it to avoid watching commericals.
