Title: Iron Man

IMO, this is the best Marvel film that has been put out since XMen 2. Robert Downey Jr kicks ASS, and Gweneth Paltrow, who usually annoys me, is great, as is Tony Stark's business partner whose name I can't remember right now. Lots of action, just enough drama, and some pretty smart comedy! This movie is also intelligent, making a comment on weapons manufacturers and taking a quick stab at the war on terror, but not in a propoganda-ish or preachy way. I highly highly highly recommend you go see this movie. You will NOT be disappointed.

The funny thing is, those stabs at war were part of the original story in 1963. Only they originally were pointed to the trouble in Southeast Asia. Iron Man's origin always seemed outdated for that reason, but with a few modifications it was translated into a modern world.
We had a mini-discussion on this over in the "What Movies Have you Watched" thread, but PLEASE tell us you stayed for the end-of-credits sequence!!

All the youTube links have been drying up within days. Check this one ASAP. It'll probably be gone by the 25th.
Crappy audio and crappy video...but it's the best I can do.

Also, there's a rumor going around that Robert Downey Jr makes a surprise cameo in the new "Incredible Hulk" flick. Might be fanboy hype, but you'd have to admit that'd be cool.

AAAAHHH!!! Samuel L Jackson! Nick Fury! SHIELD! I'm being transported back to my childhood!
BTW, I have this rule that if Edward Norton is in a movie, it HAS to be good.

Your childhood? Damn..."Ultimates" came out in, like, 2001! That wasn't THAT long ago, was it?!
Why, in my day, Nick Fury was popping up in the pages of "Godzilla" and "Micronauts". My dad used to read "Howling Commandos" comics on his breaks at the steel mill in the 60's. Then when I got older, David Hasselhoof played Fury in a FOX movie.
