Title: Guess what?

SamoaRowe - April 3, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
DWB's resident moderately good looking big man is engaged! And I have been for a couple of weeks now, I just wasn't sure if it would be "weird" or not to bring it up on the forums. But then I decided it could make for a fun thread.

So yeah, SamoaRowe is engaged. Unbelievable or what? To those of you who are already married, any advice/warnings would be helpful B) .

Kill yourself. Or get a mistress.

Just fucking about dude. Congrats.

KSSassy - April 4, 2008 03:05 AM (GMT)
I tried it.

3 times.

I obviously wasn't good at it although I think I just had lousy taste in men -- no offense

The only thing I miss is the extra paycheck and even those weren't all that great

Just be aware that things change. Not necessarily for better or worse, just that things change.

Really, it's the best thing I ever did. I hope you picked a winner.

How nice for you, Rowe! What's his name? *rimshot*

Naw..I'm thrilled for ya', bucakroo. You guys have been living together for awhile, right? I'm sure it'll be a fun ride for you kids.

There'd better be a "Guys from DWB" table set aside at the reception, though. Or at least send us all a cheesy email invite.

Oh, and I understand that being hitched gives you a slight break on your taxes. So, yay for that.

Hahaha, thanks, E. Viceroy Virus can back me up when I say I'm engaged to a woman. :P

Yeah, we've been dating since January 2004 and been living together since June of last year. We set a tentative date for sometime in June 2010 (seems like a long time away, but seems about right for what we want).

A DWB table would be hilarious. As would invites.

Viceroy Virus - April 5, 2008 08:06 PM (GMT)
Yeah, he's marrying a woman. Sure, why not.

SamoaRowe - April 6, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
And to think I've been covering up your unhealthy attraction to squirrels all these years.

Erick Von Erich - April 6, 2008 02:49 AM (GMT)
If there's a DWB table, you can bet I'll be doing my Nikolai Volkoff impersonation by wearing the SAME damn "wedding attendee suit" I've worn to every wedding for the past 9 years.

But hey...at least I still fit in clothes from 9 years ago.

SamoaRowe - April 6, 2008 02:55 AM (GMT)
Haha, that would be classic.

Just out of crazy curiousity, how difficult would it be for you folks to get to New Hampshire in June 2010 anyhow?

Big F'N Swigg - April 6, 2008 02:20 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure. Baltimore is six hours away. How far are you from there?

Erick Von Erich - April 6, 2008 05:49 PM (GMT)
Be careful.... I could do it. I'm going to a wedding in Maine, this June. Flying into Boston and seeing a game at Fenway first, obviously.

For the first time ever, I could give star ratings to each segment of the wedding. Like: "the maid of honor had a shoulderless gown, yet a small rack and some distracting moles. Took her wayyyy too long to walk down the aisle. **"

Or a final overall wedding recommendation of "thumbs in the middle, leaning up". :)

Oooh, a wedding review!

I can't wait!

Be sure you do a review of the reception and any repercussions from either, too.

Erick Von Erich - April 6, 2008 06:37 PM (GMT)
Yeah, there might be a dark match before the event. Maybe a parking lot brawl between two estanged aunts or something.

I hope the event is booked well, since Rowe and Future Mrs. Rowe have been building up this angle for a few years. It'll probably get a good rating and buy rate.

Also, I can't believe we've missed it, but : "Rowe is gonna' walk that aisle!! Wooooo!"

Big F'N Swigg - April 6, 2008 10:31 PM (GMT)
I can already see the reception write up:

"In a surprising bit of action, Rowe proved to be quite the agile big man putting on some creative dance moves before breaking out the cabbage patch, much to the crowd's dismay. Rowe's wife, however, really turned up the heat once "Baby Got Back" began blaring through the PA system, leading her to victory ***"
