How long have you been watching wrestling and who are your favorites?

:) I found you during a search for wrestling. I do reviews and news on a few other sites and I'm always looking to see what the fans are saying - and adding my opinion when I get the chance.

I am <_< middle aged, female, and was a big TNA fan until they went to the two hour time slot and killed their wrestling program. I still watch and generally purchase their pay per views, although I haven't purchased Destination X yet.

I have become an avid Ring of Honor fan and just saw their latest pay per view, "Rising Above". I submitted my review of that event to this site.

I'll be honest...I haven't purchased a WWE pay per view in a very long time although I do watch the shows during the week. I believe in "old school" wrestling and WWE doesn't believe in that anymore.

I grew up watching Bob Geigel and Bulldog Bob Brown, Bruiser Brody, the Funk Brothers, the Von Erichs (did I spell that correctly?), Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, and Handsome Harley Race. (I think I counted back once and I was watching wrestling in the late 60's...). That was when wrestling was on television every Saturday afternoon and the wrestling organization (in Kansas City) came to local grade schools to put on events.

My favorites today are: Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, Jay & Mark Briscoe, Nigel McGuinness, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk (liked him better when he was with ROH), Homicide (he was great in ROH as well), Hernandez, and before "the bad thing" I was a Chris Benoit fan.

Welcome to the boards. I grew up on the classic stuff too (though more like late 70's). It's recently gotten to the point that it's hard for me to watch wrestling. Just doesn't really resemble what i grew up on.

Yes, as I've said before, it's always good to have another ROH fan on da board. Also, I was blown away to see a Rising Above review when I got home and I was delighted to see that it was our newcomer who had written it.

Welcome...you're only the third female in the history of Da Board I believe, and the other two vanished, so hopefully you'll stick around...

I do enjoy reading what everyone has to say about the world of wrestling entertainment. If you notice I tend to lean toward the Indy organizations, I do and can't help it. TNA and WWE need to get rid of the mics and get on with the action.
