Title: X Men Origins: Wolverine
Big F'N Swigg - March 7, 2008 02:46 PM (GMT)
So, I get an e-mail from my friend asking me who "Beak" is in X-Men. I ask him why, and he tells me that Beak is in the new Wolverine movie. So I check IMDB, and sure enough, Dominic Monaghan (Charlie from Lost) is playing Beak. Here's a rundown of who is in the flick according to IMDB.
Ryan Reynolds ... Deadpool
Taylor Kitsch ... Remy Lebeau / Gambit
Hugh Jackman ... Logan / Wolverine
Dominic Monaghan...Barnell Bohusk / Beak
Liev Schreiber ... Victor Creed / Sabretooth
Danny Huston ... William Stryker
Lynn Collins ... Silver Fox
Kodi Smit-McPhee... Young Logan
Daniel Henney ... Agent Zero
Will i Am ... John Wraith
Beak is the only one who doesn't really fit in that story. Wonder what's going on there?

Beak? Really? That's more random than Arclight in X-Men: The Last Stand.
Glad to see that Gambit and Deadpool are hitting the big screen, and Reynolds is actually some good casting.

Gambit! Yay! For every minute of all of the last three movies the only thing I bitched about was no Gambit! He's my fave!
Sorry for dragging up a dead topic. Just had to say it.

Eh, somebody had to say it. There's no reason why we've seen the big screen incarnations of Arclight and Leech, but we're still waiting for Gambit.

The movie was okay. Nothing special but nothing too bad. I didn't like the corny part where Wolverine was walking away from a plane and it blew up in the background. Stuff like that annoys me. Gambit was very cool in the movie but was in it for a total of 5 minutes. The final fight scene was really cool though. Just another random thing that irked me was they never called Sabertooth, Sabertooth. They always called him Victor. I know it's Sabertooth's real name but still.
One more thing, they made Sabertooth look like a total bad ass. The scene where he was walking up to the car with Wolverines girl friend in it and he was scrathing the hood by simply dragging his hand on it was awesome. I seriously had chills for that scene. It was very cool. The the movie is worth checking out. I also read that they didn't finish the movie or something and the edited version (the real version) will be released with the DVD. Not sure if it's true though...

I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! Next Friday happens to be my three monthiversary with my bf, so we're going old school - dinner and movie. Little does he know Jillie will be drooling over all the pretty boys in the movie instead of him. ;)
JimBob Skeeter - April 23, 2009 12:25 PM (GMT)
Take two bibs! One for dinner and one for the movie. Or maybe he likes drool on him.
Anywho, this movies looks pretty good, too. My gf was in the other room this past weekend watching tv and called out: "THERE'S ANOTHER X-MEN MOVIE! WE HAVE TO SEE IT, HONEY!"
I love her.
Oh, and we had a baby last week, too. That'll be for another thread.

The DVD-quality workprint of this movie leaked online a couple weeks back. I'd have to reccomend checking it out. I Torrented it, by I haven't watched it yet.

The Slurpee banners at 7-11 have reminded me that this flick's coming out soon.
Got this forwarded from a friend, today:

| In other, more interesting, Wolvie news...Fox thinks they can get you to see the movie multiple times with their latest gimmick - ending "stingers"! Remember how cool it was to see Nick Fury at the very end of Iron Man? Well now you can relive that kind of excitement again and again with Wolverine! That's right kids, stay till after the words go away and you'll see one of Wolverine's bonus "stingers". Fox isn't saying how many endings there are, only that there are multiple and one of them involves Deadpool. |
I haven't been following the spoilers or script, but going by my Less-Than-Extensive Knowledge of Early Wolvie: guys like James Hudson, Hulk, Maverick, Carol Danvers, Viper or Puck would make sense (and I'd LOVE to see Viper or Puck). But they'd probably have Cable in a "stinger".
