Title: OAO TV Discussion
Description: 1/31 to 2/6

Go for it.
Batista is your Royal Rumble winner and hell must've frozen over because HBK actually lost a match.
TehDoct0r - January 31, 2005 04:11 PM (GMT)
Yea, but the announcers will never mention it during any segment involving HBK for the remainder of time.
dynamite kido - January 31, 2005 05:58 PM (GMT)
For the record, HBK has put over a few guys since returning. Geeze....a lot of blind hatred going on here today.
Yes, I'll fully admit the announcers will no sell the loss last night though.........unless they do HBK/Edge again tonight on RAW. Then they'll mention it and he'll get his win back.
TehDoct0r - January 31, 2005 06:56 PM (GMT)
I agree. I'm a big fan of Michaels. But his loss won't be mentioned as I imagine Ross and Lawler will be exclaiming their anger over Angle decimating Shawny boy.
Scrooge McSuck - January 31, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
Not to start an argument, but how many people (as in people not named HHH) has Michaels put over clean in the last few years?
Chris Jericho - Jericho had a little help from Randy Orton and used the ropes to prevent Michaels escaping the Boston Crab (I refuse to call it the other name now since it's been pussified).
Randy Orton - Orton won with about 67934 brass knuckle punches at Unforgiven 2003.
Edge - Lost by a roll-up where Edge used the ropes for leverage.
Chris Benoit is probably the only person, and Benoit's been around longer than Michaels, but I guess it still counts. (Backlash 2004).

I know he's put over Bautista with all the names that you've mentioned. He also got bitched out by Kane to explain HBK's injury.
Scrooge McSuck - January 31, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
The problem with the Kane "Pillmanizing" was that Shawn got the win on the PPV match to blowoff the angle, thus making Kane look weak (again), and elevates no one.
The only singles match I remember Shawn having with Batista was at Armageddon 2003 (Shawn won again). I don't remember another between the two on TV in 2004, but I could be wrong so I won't slap this one down.

If anyone cares, I'm gonna comment on a SmackDown spoiler below.
So the Big Show went over the Bashams in a handicap match. What they hell is with WWE jobbing out there tag team champions in handicap matches? I mean, I know they don't really care about tag wrestling, but with this shit goin on they may as well discontinue the belts.
Scrooge McSuck - February 1, 2005 05:17 PM (GMT)
... Sorry, but...
The Tag Titles have been booked as shit or have had a shitty ass division for every year since 1995, except for 2000 when E&C/Hardyz/Dudleyz were feuding (before it got stale).
TehDoct0r - February 1, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
Don't get me wrong, I know they haven't been extremely important, but letting your tag champs get squashed by singles guys in consecutive weeks is just a little ridiculous, even for the E.
Scrooge McSuck - February 1, 2005 05:37 PM (GMT)
Yokozuna was holding his own in 1996 against OWEN HART and THE BRITISH BULLDOG, two upper-midcard/main eventers... every week, when Yokozuna was starting to get jobbed out. They weren't the champions, but NO ONE should be getting the best of 2 guys, especially those two.
Weird though, that all three are dead. :(
dynamite kido - February 1, 2005 08:13 PM (GMT)
Actually, them doing what they did with Show would be smart. It puts over a guy majorly because he's going for the title, and since he is who he is.....it doesn't hurt a team that nobody really cares about.....titles or not.

Smackdown pulled in a 3.2 rating this week. I didn't watch, but I'm assuming it wasn't too good. Velocity I might catch since it will be a replay show, and it's 11pm at night, so I got nothing better.
