And on top of that, the Virginia Cavaliers lost to Wyoming (expected), and Michigan lost to a Division II team (not expected).
As for Baltimore, '08 won't be any better.

Which, to me, almost makes up for Tennessee's horrible loss to Cal.
It's interesting to note that Appalachian State used to be in the same conference as the school I go to, ETSU. ETSU had to switch conferences, though, because they dropped the football program for not being profitable enough.
