eh...just creepy to me, is all. I freak out at a bar when someone I just met refers to me as his "friend", "pal" or "buddy".

See, here in Tennessee, it's creepy if someone doesn't call you pal or buddy. Hell, I get called Sweetheart, Hun, Honey, or Sugar by every waitress at every restaurant. It's torture sometimes, but you ignore it after a while

I think the "buddy/friend/pal" thing must increase as you go east, then. In New York City, I was shocked when guys in bars would put their arm around yer' shoulders, call ya' "buddy" or "bro" and buy ya' a drink.

The further west you go, the more abrasive people become. Keep your distance and use your cellphone if you want to talk.

I went to some Futurama fansites for them. Be warned, though, that there are some HUGE Leela fans out there that really want to see her in "provocative" poses. Especially on their computer desktops
