Title: Plexico Burress.........

dynamite kido - January 25, 2005 12:02 AM (GMT)
First and foremost, sorry guys if this is the wrong place......I wanted to vent.

QUOTE
Asked if Sunday's game was his last in a Steelers' uniform, receiver Plaxico Burress told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "Probably so."

"It's Pittsburgh -- history speaks for itself. [The Steelers are] not going to change and I'm not going to change," Burress told the paper. "I'm just going to keep trying to be one of the greats, but three or four balls just doesn't suit me very well. Everybody keeps telling me how important a person I am on this football team, but you can't justify that for me right now. Just look at the whole season -- it speaks for itself."

Burress talked about wanting to dominate in the playoffs, but finished the postseason with just five catches for 67 yards.

"I just don't feel like I'm involved [with this offense] -- that's the way I feel," Burress said. "I said that I wanted to be more involved with this offense at the beginning of the season. If you have guys who can go out there and make plays for you, you should give them the opportunity to make plays, you know, put some onus on our shoulders. But I can't change things."

Well, not even one day after losing in the AFC Championship and this fuckwad is running his mouth. What a piece of fucking shit this asshole is. Considering that coming out of college he couldn't run a route to save his life and it's how many years later, and he still can't. Well Plex, I hope you said enough because I'd love to see another team touch you now you overrated, typical braindead idiot. I know T.O. does his bullshit too, but at least he's worth the trouble to keep around. Hopefully next year Plex is fucking doing jack shit in Arizona. Good riddance to a total fucking douche.

In the immortal words of my high school football coach, "WE DON'T NEED YA!"

Seriously, strike one was not changing your name as soon as you turned 18.

No team needs a dickhead like that. NO TEAM!

Big F'N Swigg - January 25, 2005 02:11 AM (GMT)
Screw the fact that your team almost made it to the Super Bowl with a ROOKIE for a QB, screw the fact that you're getting paid shitloads to do something I paid to do in seventh grade.

You really should be able to catch more. I've heard Barcelona has a good team.

Burress will forever be that retard that spiked a live ball (twice) to me.

I can see both sides of the argument here. I personally think that they should have passed to Plax WAY more this season. The guy is 5-6 inches taller than most safeties and can get open deep when he feels motivated to. Ben passing to Lee Mays instead of Plax on Sunday was something that made me laugh over and over. On the other hand, he really should have brought in that TD pass that he bobbled.

I don't think that's the point. The point is he shot his mouth off to the media like an asshole when hardly 24 hours had passed since his team's season ended. Should he have gotten the ball thrown to him more? Yeah. Should he have bashed his team in public? No.

You got it right there. Here's my opinion.

1)Not even 24 hours after the loss, this asshole is running his mouth and talking about leaving.

2)Less than 24 hours after the loss, Hines Ward is fucking crying to the press because he wanted to win the game for Jerome Bettis.

Tell me who the fucktard is, and tell me who the team player is.......

Not to mention that Pittsburgh isn't a downfield passing team. They will do it, but not as much as most teams. Especially the Colts.

TehDoct0r - January 26, 2005 12:03 AM (GMT)
Once the Jets were out of it, I wanted to see Jerome get a ring, too. :(

I can tell you who the most honest one is, and it's not Hines.

That's besides the point Shadow, Burress is a "Professional" athlete.......too bad there's nothing about him that's "professional". Plus, how is he being honest? Plexico knew that with a rookie QB that they wouldn't be a 100% passing team and Cowher said all season that the Steelers would be brought back to their "running ways". This is a simple case of a sour grape. He didn't have the season he thought he was going to have, and it's going to hurt him on the free agent market.....cry me a fucking river. So it wasn't the fact that they didn't throw at him, it's more of a case of being hurt with a hamstring injury and not playing up to his expectation for most of the season......that's just me being honest.
