Title: Top 15 Raw Matches Of All Time

Cage Classic - April 24, 2007 06:34 AM (GMT)
After seeing Michaels/Cena tonight, there's no doubt that this match will be something talked about years from now, much like many previous Raw matches that are stuff of legend. So, I figured it'd be interesting if you ranked your top 15 Raw matches ever.

SamoaRowe - April 24, 2007 01:06 PM (GMT)
Hmm... this will take some time. I'll start thinking while I'm at my house cleaning up flood crap today.

dynamite kido - April 24, 2007 06:34 PM (GMT)
Well, where the hell is your list Cage?

I figure if you were to start this off, that you would've actually STARTED it off.

eStragand - April 24, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
My list:
#15- Yokozuna vs. KoKo B. Ware. January 11, 1993
In a classic confrontaton to kick off the greatest wrestling show in wrestling history, two superstars entered the ring to engage in a classic confrontation that would kick off the greatest wrestling show in wrestling history. Frankie the parrot was on hand at ringside to witness this classic confrontation between two superstars. Sean Mooney also watched the match.

#14- Bart Gunn vs. Billy Gunn. December 16, 1996
The Smoking Gunns Explode! Who could forget when Billy sudenly suffered "whiplash" and bounced around the mat like he was shaking a turd down his pants?

#13- Ivan Putski & Scott Putski vs. Brian Christopher & Jerry Lawler- July 14, 1997
The return of a Hall of Famer! So it had to be a good match! At the end of this classic confrontation, Ivan yelled "Polish Power", while his son wore a speedo.

#12- William Regal & Lance Storm vs. Rob Van Dam & Tommy Dreamer- October 22, 2002
Team ECW was in the house and helped to put over the unstoppable duo of the Un-Americans! A classic confrontation.

#11- Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. John Chrystal - May 22, 1995:
The debut of Future Hall of Famer and Champion Water Spitter, Triple H! Did you know: Hunter used to wear a ponytail to the ring!! There was no denying that a great new superstar had just entered the WWE and would go on to wrestle in many classic confrontations.

#10- Marty Jannetty vs. Skip- September 25, 1995
A "roadblock match" as two halves of the Greatest Tag Teams in History faced off! (New Rockers and Chris Candido/Tommy Cairo!)

More to come!!! 9 more plus an HONORABLE MENTION!!!

Real F'n Show - April 24, 2007 08:32 PM (GMT)
Off the top of my head, Benoit/Jericho vs. Austin/Triple H, Davey Boy vs. Owen, Benoit vs. Austin, Eddie vs. RVD (ladder match), Shawn vs. Owen (late '97), Triple H vs. Shawn (late '03), and there's probably a lot more I'm forgetting.

SamoaRowe - April 24, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
Nice list thus far, ES. I didn't have enough mindless labor today to really ponder my list, but it's on the way.

Mad Dog - April 24, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
Benoit/Jericho vs. Austin/HHH
Austin vs. Benoit
HHH, X-Pac, Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko vs. the Rock, Mick Foley, II Cool and Rikishi

Real F'n Show - April 24, 2007 11:24 PM (GMT)
Forgot about that 10-man. Also I'll add the Benoit/Angle cage match. Mid-2001 Raw was pretty kick ass most of the time.

Mad Dog - April 24, 2007 11:48 PM (GMT)
I haven't seen the 10 man in a long time but I remember being stunned at how awesome it was when it happened.

jamiegeist - April 25, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
Jannetty v HBK from Hammerstein would definitely make my list.

If this is anyone but Weird Al Yankovic, you're stealing my bit!

Naw...if I WAS stealing your bit, I'd probably include:

#7- Scrooge's Right Hand vs. Scrooge's Weiner -August 7, 2002
While viewing a backstage segment involving Trish Stratus and Kane, a young Scrooge McSuck indulges in a 3 minute, 18 second three-star self-grappling match.

So I guess I'm "liberating" your idea.

Scrooge McSuck - April 25, 2007 09:28 PM (GMT)
Kane wasn't on TV 8/7/02. He didn't return for another 3 weeks...

Oh.
